  • "Great place to go when looking for a meat centric meal. Most meats were very tasty and tender. A fun place for something different."

  • "This is our first visit and hopefully not our last. The food and service was great- but we were the only ones there on a Tuesday night in downtown. They are not on the main streets so they will need to work to attract customers more customers. The food and wine list is worth the stray from downtown center."

  • "Finally. a southbay churrascarria that serves chicken hearts! This is traditional Brazilian churrasco so don't fill up on ice, beans and salad. We preferred this restaurant over Fogo de Chao. The wait staff was excellent."

  • "If you are in the mood for lots of meat, it is a great option. However, personally I would spend that high price ($51 /pp) instead on a very upscale steakhouse with a much better ambience and character. "

  • "this place is ready for you to enjoy a wide variety of meats as well as a well stocked "salad bar". Great service also."

  • "A group of 6 of us went not sure what to expect. The place was pretty empty and quiet. The decor is modern and clean. I was a little disappointed that there were no fire pits visible as in most Brazilian steakhouses. The Brazilian Caipirinha was tasty and fun. The first sip is a little sour, but then the sweetness of the rum kicks in. The Salad bar had an interesting grilled asparagus salad and a wonderful mango salad. And then the meats began to arrive! The charming servers were a constant parade to our table offering 14 different kinds of meats. All were good, but the filet in bacon and the parmesan pork were the highlights. The staff was friendly, helpful and always avaialble without having to search for them. "

  • "A very lively place with great selection of meat. Did not go there for the chicken or pork and focused on the meats and was not disappointed. The salad bar was not as elaborate as some of the other Brazilian Steak houses, but it fit me just fine, since we did not want to fill ourselves with side dishes or other main dishes. Overall a good experience."

  • "I never had Brazilian style before. What a neat experience! You serve yourself from a wide variety of appetizers and salads. The rice dishes and salads (especially the mango) complement the meats very well! After you get back to your table, the waiters start coming with the various meats on skewers and cutting you portions from it. There were 14 different styles of meats offered (pork, chicken, beef). You can have as much or as little of each as you'd like! With the variety of flavors and excellent service- I'd highly recommend this establishment!"

  • "The restaurant was not very busy for a Friday night, which took away from the overall feel. Also, the look of the restaurant is not as impressive as other Bay Area steak houses. The salad bar was a little limited compared with other Brazilian steak houses. Drinks were perfect. Meats were perfect,as were the side dish of fried bananas etc. service was friendly. Our party of 4 liked this place. But, with so many Bay Area option for Brazilian steak houses, this restaurant may have a hard time. "

  • "Taurinus is an awesome find in the San Jose area. The meats are superb (especially the red wine/mint sirloin), and the salad bar is pretty diverse too. Everyone from the host staff to the servers treats diners like family there. Not to mention, the bar selection is pretty awesome. I would definitely return for another dining experience."

  • "Our family group of 16 had an absolutely wonderful Easter/Birthday lunch. The food was fantastic and there was something for everyone's taste. THe service was excellent and very attentive. We all felt welcomed and they made us all feel special. I would highly recommend this anyone and we are definitely planning to return. I'm so happy we found this place."

  • "We've been to a few Brazilian Steakhouses in our travels, including some famous chain restaurants. We felt that Taurinus was very good, and yet, had it's own identity and flavors. The salad bar had some salads I hadn't seen before, and the meat was wonderful. There was a wide variety to choose from. Everyone who worked there was very nice and made our dinner memorably pleasant. We parked in the Cityview Towers parking lot, which was convenient."

  • "The restaurant is easy to find and very attractive. My guests and I were there early, so the restaurant was very quiet. Service was prompt, knowledgeable and unobstrusive. I am always interested in how authentic the food is, and my questions were answered cheerfully and knowledgeably. The service style is great. My guests were both fairly new to California, and neither had ever eaten lamb - and they both loved it. They didn't eat the chicken hearts, but I did. They were absolutely delicious. There are some authentic Brazilian desserts on the menu - they have to be tried. The restaurant is definitely very expensive - but you get your money's worth. Absolutely recommended."

  • "Great food, service and the best caiparinhas in the bay area. I've been to a couple of other Brazilian steak houses and this is my new favorite."
