TASTE RestaurantMother's Day OutingWe had a great time seeing the art exhibits and then eating in the restaurant. There was an optional special menu in honor of Mother's Day, as well as the usual Sunday brunch menu. The restaurant was crowded, but not overly noisy. I'm glad we had made reservations because we were seated immediately. The service was very good, with an attentive staff. My lunch was wonderful (quiche and salad). My husband enjoyed his (chicken and bisquits), but it would have been very dry if he hadn't asked for extra gravy. The prices were quite reasonable. I will definitely go again.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious SurpriseWe visited Taste as part of our Mother's Day afternoon trip to SAM. What a great surprise. The food and the service were excellent. They had a wondeful pre-fix lunch special which only my husband ordered and the rest of us were envious. My daughter had the eggs Benny and loved it. I had the pancakes and must say they were wonderful and very different from any traditional pancake.
All in all, a great way to spend an afternoon. I had the Treasures of Kenwood inspired dish - Bangers and Mash - an old British standard, but prepared with a contemporary twist that was executed very well.
My server was very good...he seemed to be interested in doing a good job.

We appreciated the special happy hour offers and stayed to order off the dinner menu. We dined there at lunch. The atmosphere is modern and active, energetic without being noisy or crowded. The menu boasts locally sourced foods creatively and tastily prepared, at very reasonable prices. Try the Croque Madame or the Wild Mushroom Stroganoff, or be more traditional with a Skagit River Ranch burger and frites, with tasty side sauces. The staff were attentive and cheerful. The cocktails are artworks of their own, with their takes on traditional whiskey drinks particularly good. Try the rye manhattan! We will definitely be back.
