We enjoyed appetizers of very fresh raw oysters, crab dip, grilled shrimp, and spanakopita--all excellent. Dinner entrees included cornish hens, shrimp and grits, seafood pasta, rockfish and a burger--again, all very tasty. We brought our own birthday cake and our server had no problem wisking it away to the kitchen and bringing it out after dinner with candles lit--and then sliced and served it--at no extra charge. From the food to the service, we were very pleased with the whole experience. (Based on a previous visit, I can also recommend the salmon BLT sandwich!)4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMTaste is a " Neighborhood Gem"My family has lived in Olney for over 30 years and we have dined at many restaurants through the years. Taste is a hidden gem. The service is fantastic and since the remodeling the bar is one of the most vibrant in town. Their gormet chef Lenny actually came out of the kitchen to meet us after the owner introduced himself and asked us how are evening was going. We told him that the food was fantastic and before we new it he had gone the extra mile and brought the chef out. The prices are more than reasonable and I like the fact it is family owned, the owners really seem to care about their customers. If you have nothing to do on a Sunday come in for Brunch, bottomless Mimosas and a Bloody Mary Bar I have not seen since Dewey Beach.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent!!This place looks awesome!! They offer an extensive beer list and also great wines. The food was just phenomenal! We shared the Salmon chips and crab fritters. I had the Seafood salad and my husband had the catch of the day. The menu has something for every taste. Service was friendly from the minute we walked in to when we left. I will be back here soon and plan to have them cater my next event as well. Taste is the perfect name for this place. The food was great and the carnival of taste sensations was an unexpected but pleasant surprise. Everything that we ordered was delicious from the dip sampler plate to the homemade linguini with clams. Any thing we ordered was delicious, we were not disappointed at all. Friendly, and attentive but not overbearing service. The food was outstanding. I had the perfectly cooked burger, which was juicy and flame grilled. My sisters had the steak and eggs, and fish and chips. Everyone cleaned their plates. My daughter had the pancakes and she loved it. Very cool to see a kid friendly menu, that is healthy and delicious. Bottomless mimosa's and Bloody Mary self serve bar with all the fixings including house made pickled veggies! We went for Lunch, and it was really good. We had several plates. all were exceptionally good, except their house cut fries. They were not as good as the previous times, they are no serving them in a bowl and that causes the fries to remain greasy. In the prior ownership, they served them on a plate, with Feta and they were delicious. But alas they only serve hand cut fries now.
