Mario Batali, Joseph Bastianich, Andy Nusser and Nancy Selzer, the team that brought you Tarry Lodge in Port Chester, NY is excited to announce the opening Tarry Lodge Enoteca Pizzeria, TL's casual little sister, in Saugatuck.
Tarry Lodge Enoteca Pizzeria features Andy Nusser's signature hand-made pastas, exquisite fritti, and succulent meats cooked to order on our wood fired grill. The menu will have a distinct focus on local ingredients and we are taking full advantage of Westport's bustling farmer's market.
The centerpiece of the room is a Mugnaini pizza oven hand crafted by the famed Refratarri Valoriani, a family of artisans making pizza ovens since 1890. This fantastic oven will be surrounded by a dining counter, where guests can watch pizzaiolo Mario La Posta craft his world class pies.

We drove over 45 Minutes and arrived 15 minutes early for a 9:00 reservation, our table was not ready but they did have a free table on the end and offered it to us. The menu selections available were not the selections on the menu we viewed online. We only saw our waiter two times once to take our order and then again with the check.. Needless to say we were disappointed."

  • "My husband and I ate at Tarry Lodge prior to attending a concert in Norwalk. We hadn't been to Tarry in over a year, and had had very positive experiences in the past, so thought it would be a good option for us. We both ordered a glass of the Montipulciano, which was fine. My husband ordered the prix fixed dinner that included a burrata salad and a pasta with pesto. I ordered the beet salad and the mezaluna with pesto. The food was good, but was very heavy on the raw onions and garlic. We shared the prix fixed dessert of a ricotta cheesecake, and it was good. Service was very attentive. Overall, I thought the dinner was good. There are many fabulous options in Westport, so I'm not certain that we'll be going back."

  • "HORRIBLE!!!!! If I could give this place negative stars I would. Service was atrocious and the food was not very good.I ordered a dish from the menu and was brought something entirely different. By the time I looked down at my plate no staff was to be found. After 20 minutes of trying to get staff attention I was told that they ran out of what I ordered.They took my uneaten plate away and had the nerve to bring me a dessert menu.Basically, the place seems to be run by teenagers who really could care less about what they're doing for work and would rather chat in the kitchen.I will NEVER in a million years go back and will make sure to tell everyone I know about my experience. Not one person tried to even make my bad experience right."

But we complained and they added another table for two. It's kind of crazy that we had to ask for that."

  • "We have visited the restaurant in port Chester and it is a little roomier and more upscale. The menu appeared the same. The food was good and very generous portions. The service was very solicitice. They noted my special request and put a candle on my husbands desert so there was no need for wink sunk with the host or servers behind my husbands back. The trilcolore salad is a great starter - plentiful but light, with a white bean dressing that is really unique The pistachio pizza is so sweet you could almost hear it for dessert. There's some elixir in the crust that is amassing and the combo of goat cheese pistachios and honey is indescribably delicious!"

  • "Went to Tarry Lodge in Westport for Valentines day. Arrive 30 mins early to have a cocktail at the bar, except there was no space. There was no space at the bar to get a drink, no space to stand, nothing. It seemed as if there was an entire seating area added which should have been a waiting area. Waiters were bumping into customers, the tables were extremely close, I think you get the idea. The wait staff and the hostesses were very nice, and the food was what you would expect at tarry lodge (if you haven't gone, I would recommend the one in Port Chester) so the evening wasn't a total loss. if you are looking for a romantic evening, I wouldn't recommend this place. but if you want some really good pizza and wine, you wont be disappointed"

  • "This was my first visit to the Westport branch of Tarry Lodge. It is just as good as the Westchester County counterpart, but without the adjoining food market. There were five of us, and no one was disappointed with any of the entrees and appetizers. It is kind of unusual to have that many people totally satisfied with their meals. Even though the floor is tiled, we could all hear each other clearly. Our server made some good recommendations. I will definitely return."

Though we had previously dined at Tarry Lodge in Portchester, I didn't know what to expect in the new location. It was wonderful! We were seated immediately and service was impeccable. The ambiance was nice - a cozy space just dark enough to enjoy a romantic evening (as the table next to us did), but not so dark that people with children would feel out of place. The food was outstanding, with the same (or very similar) menu as that at the original restaurant in Portchester. We'll be back soon!"

  • "I always order the same 3 things because they are so delish (octopus, garganelli, or guanciale truffle pizza) but decided to finally try something new-the Market Salad (spinach, kale, goat cheese, hazelnuts) & the gnocchi with oxtail Ragu. I'd highly recommend both! Hostess Victoria & server Ian were excellent. I deducted a star for ambience however because the walls need a paint job- Tarry is starting to look a little worn."

It was a business lunch and I had the swordfish, my friend had the branzino on my recommendation as I had tried the dish at the Portchester location where it was delicious! The only thing about her meal was that they gave her fingerling potatoes which were fried too heavy, and NO green veg or any kind of veg. Other than that very good."

  • "The food continues to be very good and the $20 lunch is a very good deal. However, I cannot understand why they try to fit six people in a table that is clearly for 4, when the restaurant was not full and we had made reservations in advance. This led to acrobatics on how to get pizzas and appetizers without someone holding them on their lap. It also made us want to finish our food and leave as soon as possible."

  • "We picked this restaurant after finding nothing for Christmas Eve "lunch". Our timing was quirky at 3pm, but Tarry Lodge accomodated us and we had an outstanding "Linner". The quail was outstanding and made us feel very festive. The regional wines from Italy were also a nice change from the usual american/french lists. We had the kale salad that was very fresh with roasted hazelnuts and really enjoyed it. The staff were attentive and even accomodated my 12 year old who just wanted a steak. It was a perfect fit for our family before heading off to church for Christmas eve service."

  • "Came here the other day for lunch...with 6 friends...The server was apparently young, inexperienced and overwhelmed....It took us 20 minutes after ordering to get our wine.My friend ordered a chicken caesar and asked for the lettuce to be chopped...totally ignored him....the plate had to go back to the kitchen...My salad with cheese was DRENCHED in dressing...had to go back.The Eggplant Parms were cold and tasted like they were made days ago and reheated...I called the restaurant later to complain...I still haven't gotten a call back after I spoke to the Manager...With all the great Restaurants in Westport, I would skip Tarry Lodge and move on...Mario and Joe...I think you should sit down and review what is going here."
