The wait staff and hostess are ALWAYS friendly, kind and courteous. They take note of a particular table I like and, if possible, seat us there, even without requesting. Sometimes the food can be slow to arrive, but I like that because it makes the evening feel more like an event instead of something to check off my to-do list. The atmosphere is chic but relaxed and comfortable and the staff are always friendly and extra accommodating. The goat cheese pizza with truffle honey and pistachios is a must but you can't go wrong with any of the amazing pizzas, which are great for sharing. The gorgonzola frisee salad and the proscuitto di parma are always favorite appetizers. Don't forget to save room for dessert - the panna cotta, butterscotch budino and ricotta cheesecake are to die for. Great to have a kid friendly place that is both not over-run by kids, but where adults don't have to settle for less. Pork Belly was among the best I've had, and prosciutto was delicious. We arrived 45 minutes before our reservation to have a drink at the bar, but they quickly informed us they could seat us when ready. He recommended the meatballs appetizer (the best he had ever had, and I have to agree!) and the Branzino (too much cartilage and undercooked potatoes) and kept our wine and water glasses filled. We also tried the Tuna Crudo (not the best, The Chelsea in Fairfield still reigns King) the market salad (fantastic, huge portion) and the highlight of the night, the truffle and fried egg pizza, which was even better than in my dreams... a MUST TRY! Also, the wines on their list, including wines by the glass are excellent and include Italian wines not on most lists. The strength of the place is that the flavors of Italy are authentic but on this occasion, the pasta dish was less good than I have had there before and was not as good as a typical dish in Italy. I am someone who has lived in Italy and travels there regularly, and I can tell the difference. Every time it was excellent in every way. The menu is very interesting and the prices are reasonable. We shared many of the generous sized dishes so we got to taste a variety of food. Lamb chops, margherita pizza looked good (I didn't try). My husband had the eggplant alla parmigiana which was delicious but a little small on the portion side. I indulged in the garganelli with fungi trifolati which was so delicious and yummy...I want more! Tiramisu got high marks. Flour less chocolate cake was loved by all but one person. Ricotta cheesecake made with their own homemade ricotta is heaven. I don't have the correct name for this dessert but it was a butterscotch pudding with thin meringue layer...that was the best!!
