But I have noticed in the last couple of visits that the service has declined. Servers disappear for 15-20 minutes at a clip. In my last visit, it took 45 minutes between appetizer and main course, without a single word from waiter. We ordered the goat cheese pizza, tagliatelle bolognese and an eggplant special. All wonderful, but the the bolognese was the hands down winner. Great wine list with lots of choices. We shared the frozen hazelnut dessert which was hard as a rock, but eventually softened enough to share and was quite tasty. Overall an excellent experience. My rib-eye steak was served already sliced, slightly dry, with an interesting arugula salad filled with cold cooked new potatoes and terrific tomatoes. I should have piled the salad on top of the steak to moisten the meat. Our sommelier was very helpful and knowledgable. I got a candle on my Pannetone bread pudding which was delicious. The dulce de leche ice cream was wonderful. However, our table was too small for 3 people, the noise level was difficult to talk over what with the crowd and marble floors. We were there on a Tuesday night, so we got a very nice table in the back. We started with the chopped salad and the burrata & asparagus plate. Both were terrific, but especially the chopped salad. It was well-dressed but not soggy and the salty salumi had just the right chew and flavor for the greens. Our seven-year-old went to town on the bread and olive oil while we ate the first course. My husband ordered the salmon on lentils and I had the eggplant parmigiana. My husband said it was the best salmon he had ever had in a restaurant. While the pizza is not the same as in Pizzeria Mozzo, it is still delicious.

Despite being a special day they had plenty of waitstaff. The menu is exciting and extensive and I wished I could have ordered about 6 more items than the ones I chose! The only downside was that the upstairs area where we were seated was over-air-conditioned. I was seated against a wall and it blew right on my legs. I put a jacket I had with me on but was still chilly throughout the entire meal. I did ask that the AC be turned down, but must have asked the wrong person (food deliverer). Either that or it had no effect. Make a reservation, because you'll need one, and you'll be glad that you did. I highly recommend starting with the pizza with Guanciale, black truffles and a sunny side egg. The wine list is one of the best selections of Italian I've seen in Westchester, owing much to the Tarry Wine store attached to the incredible Tarry Market next door. Food is fresh and delicious and reasonably priced. The servers are very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine. Of course the pizzas and pastas are fresh and yummy.
