"Too loud. Sat between two other tables 2' apart. Crowd was stuck up. A glass of wine was $15. Only draft beer and not much of a selection. Food was good though."

"We have been here many times. While I don't find the front of house or management to be so friendly, the waiters and bartenders are great. Food is always excellent, you must get some pizza when you go, even if it makes you bust your pants open. Appetizers are just ok, I don't love the antipasto format and wish they had more traditional American style apps (larger size, hot options). But we keep going back. I noticed the prices went up, that's a shame but I guess they can get away with it. Get the grapefruit cocktail, it's the BEST in the world (pompelmo, I think it's called). Poultry dishes never fail to impress, whether it's quail or cornish hen. Delicious!"

"Just have to say "disappointing". If you want pizza, you will do very well ... if its fine or even good dining that you're after, look elsewhere. Striped bass was substituted with what we thought was red snapper - the waiter returned to confirm our suspicions ... said that they ran out of the striped bass ... but with no red snapper on the menus, we quickly reconciled that this story smelled fishy! Restaurant is probably using perch and making substitution all night long. Other dishes were too salty and/or light on portions. The staff apppears to be bothered by questions and are not at all upbeat. Sad ... because I have never said, dont go there about any place ... but I wont and cant recommend this type of establishment."

"I've been going to Tarry Lodge for several years now and remember when it was a bit more elegant and I hate to use the word, "special". It's become much more casual of late and a daily special rather than the specials. Although the food is good, it used to be great, the ambiance has changed, with the waiters a tad bit less attentive than they used to be and lots of commotion, and even a few of the wait staff standing around arguing about religion on Easter Sunday which was a bit strange. I do remember when the waiter would describe the meals or suggest a wine selection and everyone seemed a bit more service oriented. It did feel a bit like our food was simply plopped down on our table. It's not the Tarry Lodge it was in it's heyday."

"Lower score for this luncheon! Been often to have our pizza indulgence and other delights and each time raved about experience... BUT...not so good service truly affects all! Disappearing servers really ticked us off. We are not okay with inattentive service and our tip reflected that (15% feels strange to us!)."
