Diner Reviews
  • "Fine dining in Millersburg? Yes, and a great view as a bonus. We've been visiting this place for twenty years and it continues to get better each year. Those looking for heaping servings and low prices would do well elsewhere but if good food well prepared coupled with an outstanding view are your things, then this is the place."

  • "The food was wonderful. The combination of flavors in the dinner entrees were sensational. The Continental Breakfast was above the normal idea of a "continental breakfast". The service was also impeccable. The pace is on the slower side (I mean this in a positive way.) You have the opportunity to savor the food instead of rushing through it because the next course is arriving before you have finished the former. Can't say enough good about the experience."

  • "Everything about the Tarragon restaurant was exceptional. I had the best filet mignon that I have ever had. The atmosphere is so beautiful with the tall trees and so relaxing. Thank You!"

  • "My boyfriend and I stayed in a HoneyComb room at the Inn at Honey Run for our 1 year anniversary. We dined at Tarragon for both dinner and breakfast. As part of the room a complimentary appetizer and glass of wine was available in the restaurant ....the appetizer was a couple of pretzel rods in a beer glass, a cup of potato chips (that appeared to be lays) and 2 small slices of quesadilla. For an upscale restaurant this was embarrassing. For dinner we both got steak, shared au gratin potatoes and each had 1 alcoholic beverage. The meals came with salad and bread. For $140 this should have been an excellent meal that I would be telling everyone about.....but it was ok at best. The steak was so so and the potatoes were not fully cooked."

  • "I got a chicken dish and my husband got steak. The chicken was very good, not exceptional and my husband said the steak was average. We were dining with another couple and twice our friend had to send her drink back because there was a black fleck of something (looked like a pepper seed) in her glass. The waitress was very good and apologized profusely. I just thought that for $25-$35/entree and sides extra, the food was very average."

  • "My wife and I have not been able to get away for many years. We finally decided for Honey Run. Our experience was so wonderful we booked another stay. The cleanliness of our honey comb suite was spotless. The decor was updated there was no smells to the rooms. The staff throughout the grounds was kind and professional. Also it was a pleasure there no children running around,. Just quite, relaxing peaceful enjoyment. The restaurant I would rate as 4-5 star. Great food and wonderful attentive staff. Our overall experience was everything we had hoped it would be, pure happiness and enjoyment. We cant wait till we go back in the fall."

  • "I have been relaxing at the Inn for 14 years; almost since Marge Stock opened it. Last year had a few "bumpy spots" but certainly got back on track this year. Kudos to those who make it happen. The Chef must be new; the food was exquisite."

  • "Very over priced, quality bad. I had a steak that was tough as shoe leather. y jaw was too tired to finish it. Mentioned it to waitress in the morning not concerned."

  • "The view is great as the inn is on a side of a steep hill, so it is like being in the trees! Food is creative, fresh, local and of sustainable ingredients! There were very few people there for lunch, however, the wait time for food prep was very long. The corned beef in the reuben sandwich was incredably fall-apart tender w/ the homemade sauerkraut. Their signature apple pie with ice cream was delech as usual! We hiked the steep paths before lunch and enjoyed the dozen or so sheep on the property! The site is a great nature area!!"

  • "This restaurant is somewhat pricey but worth every penny. My friend's steak was cooked to perfection, and my salmon was delicious. Our side salads, the wine, and the blueberry dessert were fantastic, as well. The service was, once again, friendly and completely professional. We are never disappointed at Tarragon."

  • "we brought friends to dine with us, the last time we were there was probably a year or so ago. missed the more open and bright dining area. also, the prices have elevated significantly while the food quality is good but not the quality we have had at other re3staurants when we pay 130 for a meal, and our friends paid 160. not sure will bring other to the restaurant."

  • "Though we hadn't been at this establishment for a few years (and it had changed names and been completely remodeled since our last visit), the overall dining experience did not in any way disappoint. The quality of the food, service and ambiance were exquisite - which really was no different from the previous restaurant which was housed there. The only suggestion we would have is to change the music selection. While the breakfasts we enjoyed there had soothing instrumental music piped in, this Sun. evening dinner included oldies "rock" selections. Though we like oldies, we would have preferred the instrumentals. (Not a deal breaker, by any stretch!)"

  • "Delicious steaks--both filet mignon and sirloin--cooked to perfection--medium rare. Continental breakfast was great with fresh baked muffins. The servers are charming and cannot do enough for you. The dining room is like being in a treehouse--fabulous view and so tastefully decorated. "

  • "Each time we have stayed at the Inn At Honey Run we normally have dinner at the Tarragon. Over the years it has been convenient but not memorable. Thi most recent experience was much improved. The server knew the menu and was helpful but not hovering. The menu offered a variety of tempting offerings. I had the Salmon and my wife ordered the Scallops. Both were excellent. Not over cooked or dry. Our desserts were a tasty way to end our meal. Thanks. "

  • "Service a hint slow, but the food and attendants more than made up for this minor flaw. Some of the best food we have ever eaten, the upside apple pie was to die for and the steak in wine sauce melted in your mouth. The waitresses were friendly and attentive. Food was a little pricey, but worth it, will definently eat here again on a special occasion!"

  • "I had promised my wife a special night out for a long time. I finally set a date and we arrived 4/12/14. The Honeycomb Suite was better than we anticipated. After we got settled in we walked to the Tarragon room bar and had a glass of wine. Liz took very good care of us, and took the time to chew the fat with us. Our dinner reservation was for 7 pm, and Liz took care of us once again. The food was fabulous, and so was Liz. I will recommend the Inn at Honey Run to everybody I know."

  • "We have eaten at the Tarragon at the Inn at Honey Run near Millersburg, Ohio several times. This is the first time we stopped for lunch. Although near the end of the lunch serving period 3 pm, (we were running a little late) with a call ahead they confirmed our reservation. I started with a cup of the tomato and bacon soup with blue chess crumbles; my wife enjoyed a reuben and I also had a shrimp po-boy sandwich. Each serving had a great blend of flavors requiring no extra condiments. The bread is homemade and service was great."

  • "Worth the drive from anywhere, this is the only fine dining in the area. The quiche is always excellent, the scallops and risotto are inventive and good. The restaurant could be aptly named "treetops" as you literally dine 30 feet in the air among the treetops. It's a great view and the deck in summer is outstanding. The dining room has been substantially upgraded over the past few years under the new ownership."

  • "Having dined here many times over the past 20 years, it was delightful to return with a group of friends to enjoy several meals here during our stay. The menu provides a wide variety of choices and is filled with fresh ingredients and creative preparation. Our server Jenn was especially pleasant and attentive to top notch service. The steaks and salads were excellent, and the fresh cod special was moist and flavorful. The butternut squash soup was also delicious. The fresh baked breads are worth the calories. Save room for dessert. My table mates are still talking about the bread pudding."
