Since I live in Canton I won't be making a trip back here to give it a second chance. The chopped salad was great but the crabcake was bland. (If you can't do a crabcake in MD, then the rest of your food is bound to follow suit.) The original older gentleman bartender who took my order (but unfortunately left for the day soon after that) was friendly and attentive but the other staff was preoccupied talking amongst themselves and seemed to have forgotten the customers, at least for the hour or so I was there.

Had a good meal before an Orioles game, as Tark's has great parking and convenient to 83South... service was somewhat slow but our 4:30 reservations for a 7:05m game were perfect.food quite good, wait staff pleasant, desserts outstanding!!!

Yes, restaurants have off nights.But experienced spots should be able to accomodate business if more than expected.At minimum, explain what's happening and express regret for same.Waiter dropped menu, knocked water over.Instead of being moved to booth (which went to 2),stayed at table covered by napkins.Waited for everything w/o waiter explanation.Waiter disappeared for long spells.E.g.,entrees took 20min;30min for dessert (only after we stopped different server to take order).

The server was outstanding. He gave us all the right desicions. Couldn't have ask for better service. The atmosphere was just right for the evening. The overall food was great. The wine list is worth noting. Many good selections to pair with the varity of foods.

This is our second time at Tark's. We liked it so much the first time that we came back with friends who appreciate good food in an upscale but unpretentious atmosphere. Tark's
fits that description. The service was excellent, but low-key, and we all enjoyed our food choices. We were happy that we were seated in the enclosed room next to the bar. Our only complaint was that our table was next to the door that opened to the bar area. Each time it was opened by a server or by the host with people being seated, the noise from the bar was pretty bad. We'll ask for a seat in the back corner of the room next time.
