Welcome to Tarallucci e Vino. Tarallucci e Vino is modeled on the traditional Italian Bar. Our Union Square dining space changes throughout the day to adapt to the customer’s mood and needs. In the morning we’re your spot to read the paper over a quick cappuccino and a freshly baked croissant.… For lunch, have a panini or some fresh pasta with your business partners, that special someone, or just sit by yourself and watch New York go by. After work, grab a stool at the bar and taste our excellent wines by the glass or share a bottle with some friends along with a plate of excellent cheeses or prosciutto. Come on, you earned it. "I have been a fan of Tarallucci since they opened few years ago.I was there lately after a long tour in Italy and found myself thinking on how you can have a very good Italian meal in NY as well. Everything, from the atmosphere to the wine list and the food has my old country flavors.I would like to add that since they opened 5 years ago or so, their menu evolved tremendously.The young chef Riccardo Billotta is always working and reinventing dishes that,still inspired from regional flavors,show how the italian cooking evolves as everything.Of course you can still find some staple of the italian traditional cousine but hey....some things are just perfect the way they are.
P.S.: Cappuccino e cornetto the best in town!"

"I always have a great experience here. Really solid food at a reasonable price. Nice atmosphere. And usually not too difficult to get into, though it's always filled. Recommend making a reservation day of or day before at least, if you'd rather not sit at the communal table. But even that's quite nice. It's my "sure thing" in Union Square if I can't get in at a couple of my other favorite spots. Oh, and if you like fish, try the branzino...just make sure you get THEM to take off the rock salt + olive crust. Delicious!"

"great vibe and food to match. it's a cool hidden spot just off of union square for a meal any time of day. the cooking is authentically italian not the usual amped up americanized versions you usually get. the pastries are particularly amazing at breakfast and brunch. wonderful wine by the glass selection makes it a good quick stop as you bop around the neighborhood."

"We had three different servers throughout the night - the first two came up to us at different points in our meal to let us know that their shifts were ending. We were there for only 2 hours. We ordered 3 types of cheeses - based on the server's upsell - and were not given bread when the cheeses were dropped. Everyone's pasta was bland - it did not seem to matter which pasta was ordered. A guest at the table ordered the branzino but the salad it came with was served on a second [rather large] plate so it was awkward to eat and took up more room on the table than necessary. This was a reservation to entertain a few out of town relatives and I left embarrassed having chosen Tarralucci for our night out. I won't make that mistake again."

"The food was amazing and the large wine list is great! The restaurant has a cozy feel to sit and relax with friends and enjoy some wine and excellent food. I would definitely go back!"

"If you are a wine lover, you have come to the right place. The bar tender really knew his wines.the rood was top notch. I had risotto, and it was excellent. It reminded me of the meals I had in Italy"
