  • "Many GF options that are delicious, and the staff is very knowledgeable in GF preparation. A real treat!"

  • "Great atmosphere, great food, super staff. Never felt rushed even though we arrived late. Waitress made evening better by serving everything hot and was always available without being bothersome . Highly recommend this gem."

  • "Went here with a group of friends to catch up on a Wednesday night. Arrived at 6 and the place was packed by the time we left. I recommend the guac however the salsa tasted like the tomato sauce in a can of Boyardee. We also had the nachos which ended up being very soggy at the bottom of the stack- but the chicken was good on top. The highlight of my meal was the fried and battered fish tacos! The filets were large, fresh and crispy! Great flavor also. Also tried the pork carnitas- yum! The house margaritas were ok at best. A little too sweet for my liking... And the glass could have been bigger :) overall, good and would go back."

  • "Hip, modern Mexican with a great bar and great service. It's also a great place to bring the kids. Ours are 6 and 7 and its one of their favorite places. With a solid beer list, great margaritas, and Mexican food that isn't your typical Mexican, it's one of our favorites too."

  • "After passing by this restaurant on many occasions on our way to other restaurants my girlfriend and I decided to give this one a try. The service was superb and the food was very succulent. Had an order of the chips and guacamole, fish tacos, and the chicken tinga. Service was quick and food came out very quickly as well not sacrificing taste. Must try!"

  • "We did a double date with some great friends of ours. We first went to the Manayunk theater for a movie and it was brutal fighting the crowds and dealing with people talking and being loud the whole movie. We were excited to get out of there and get to the restaurant. We were seated right away, and we were pleased to see that even at 945 at night, the place was still lively and energetic. Of course, we started off right away with a round of margaritas, and our server was seemingly excited to be serving us and was very pleasant and knowledgeable. We got chips and guac, starters, and entrees accompanied by more margs, and we all had a ball. I would highly recommend this place to all our other friends and family!"

  • "The food is great, and if you want to try something truelly authentic, try the grasshopper tacos.. The place is small, and they pack it in pretty well, though it being small and a little cramed, the food was good, fast, and the service was too."

  • "I absolutely love eating at Taqueria Feliz. The atmosphere is extremely fun and just what I look for after a long day at work. The drinks are delicious and the service is very good. Our server made fabulous recommendations and we both enjoyed our meals and chili margaritas. I will definitely continue to keep coming back!"

  • "The food was great - innovative but not trying too hard. My wife also enjoyed the variety of margaritas. Our server was warm, pleasant and took good care of us. We went as a date, but would be happy there with our 9 year old as well."

  • "This was our 4th time at this restaurant and the food and service are always good. I tried a clam special appetizer they had that night which I didn't think was worth the money. 6 very small clams for $13, The manager ended up coming over to hear our feedback. He took the appetizer off of our check without us even asking."

  • "Another great experience at one of Brian&Tim's restaurants. Pork belly appetizer special was fantastic, as were the cauliflower tacos. The shrimp ceviche stole the show- so much shrimp, such good flavor. This is a great new addition to the Manayunk strip! The interior is nicely decorated and noise level wasn't too loud. Servers were nice and new the menu well, they were attentive and friendly. It's easy to see that the same quality and care was taken into every detail of this place as Cantina and Calaca- I will be back again for the fish tacos!"

  • "Had a great meal here. Menu is similar to Cantina Feliz where I had dined before. Really enjoyed the hot dog appetizer - unique. Would like to see a few more entrees on the menu."

  • "Margaritas are great. I had the classic. We had a party of 4 and we all ordered tacos. I had the carnitas and appreciated the small dice of the onion and the salsa. Well prepared dish. We expected to pay for chips and salsa ( From other reviewers,) so we ordered Guac and chips. Some restaurants can make a real mess of a good quac but this was spot-on. Food comes out very quick so if you want to enjoy a drink before dinner, wait to place your dinner order. We sat away from the bar where it was much less noisy so overall we had a nice time. Not sure I would recommend for very large groups. Overall would recommend and am interested in going again when the weather turns warm to see what they do with their open air seating."

  • "We tried Taqueria Feliz because we had such a good dining experience at La Calaca Feliz in Fairmount -- just as good if not better. Had chips and very good roasted tomato salsa at the bar with white wine sangria which was sweet but not syrupy. Dinner was chicken enchiladas with red sauce, fish tacos in the tempura batter (not grilled), plus esquites and black beans with rice. How did we eat all that!? The fish tacos were absolutely wonderful. Didn't have room for dessert, but would definitely leave room next time...if only we don't pig out on dinner like this last time!"

  • "Great food, great service. I had the pineapple pork tacos (can't remember the exact name) but they were so delicious! My cousin, who is a vegitarian, ordered the califlower tacos with cactus petals. We were nervous but they were excellent. The guac is by far some of the best i have ever had - comparable to El Vez in the cty. Would definately return."

  • "We had the lamb barbacoa with beer and it was delicious. I am eager to go back to try several treats particularly the fish tacos, the nachos, and the Margarita cheesecake. The service was very attentive. The choice of beverages was excellent (beer, Margaritas, tequila, whiskey...)."

  • "There is a small side room with 4 tables where we were seated. At another table, there were 4 adults and 2 children. The younger of the 2 kids screamed and cried through most of the meal. The acoustics made it deafening and really disrupted my party's dining experience. While kid friendly enough, it will affect the adults I was with from ever returning. Too bad....we were celebrating a special occasion and due to the noise, it became an uncomfortable experience. Perhaps management will pay more attention to this type of potential seating problem in the future. If not for this, I would have rated the experience (especially the ambiance) more positively."

  • "Really a well thought out, interesting, and tasty menu, excellently executed. Even the nachos were great, with some interesting additions to standard fare. On the down side, for two the tables are TINY, and it is REALLY loud. Found our drink glasses empty at one point. Pretty dissappointing dessert menu, but it is a Mexican-based theme, so..."

  • "I was so excited to see the same team that has my heart in the Fairmount section had opened closer to my home. However, I really did not like this restaurant as well. The margarita was the same, so great! And, the place is pretty and inviting inside. However, the food is bland and uninspired. I had the Lamb Barbacoa at the server's suggestion. While the lamb was good, the chick peas floating in tasteless broth to put on it and the refried beans underneath it were really uninspired.. The skate tacos were really yummy while the beans and rice tasted like the beans came from a can. I will try this restaurant once more to try the Nachos with brisket, but I am not really in love with the food."

  • "My boyfriend and I have been to Taqueria Feliz one before closer to when they first opened and the scene was very crowded, but we had heard good things about the other two locations (La Calaca Feliz and Cantina Feliz) and wanted to try it out. Our first visit was great (I had the chicken tacos and he had the fish tacos), but was a bit rushed. This weekend we had a friend visiting from out of town and decided to try it out again. We went a little bit later on a Sunday and the place was much quieter, but there were still people about even at 9 pm. If you go and are a bit of an adventurous eater, definitely check out their "Comida Loca" section. We tried the crispy fried grasshopper tacos as an appetizer and they were delicious."

  • "Just visiting the area and looking for a good place for dinner. The guacamole was wonderful, it had a little kick but nothing over the top. Both meals we had were great and we had plenty for lunch the next day (that may have been because we both devoured the guacamole appetizer we ordered). Finished the meal by splitting their version of TRES LECHES, it was out of this world. If we get back to this area, Taqueria Feliz will be a must stop."

  • "We were led to believe from the reviews that we'd be disappointed with the service and the seating arrangements. However, we had the most AMAZING service - very attentive from the water glasses refilling to the drinks to the actual food. The wait staff is very attentive and friendly. The food was innovative and yummy!"

  • "We had a party of four and three of us got the fish tacos, which were excellent. the other had the brisket tacos and enjoyed them as well. the margaritas were great....good amount of tequila. looking forward to going back and trying other options. this place is quite popular so i'd book a reservation early. we booked a week in advance for a saturday night (7:15)"

  • "Our waitress mentioned Taqueria Feliz had only been open since October but business was booming. We had a reservation for 4 for 8pm and had to wait until about 8:20 to be seated. We would have grabbed drinks at the bar but it was packed! The restaurant is very small – I wouldn't recommend it for larger groups – but the food was to die for. I've dined at Cantina Feliz in Fort Washington, PA many times and didn't realize this had the same owners until our leftovers were packaged up. Highly recommend a reservation especially on a weekend. Will definitely be back in the summer when the windows can open up to Main Street."

  • "Fresh and creative Mexican food! Food is more upscale than your average Mexican restaurant."

  • "I have been to La Calaca Feliz and Cantina Feliz and I was very excite to try Taqueria Feliz. The loved all of my experiences at both the other restaurants and looked forward to dinner this past Saturday night. Unfortunately I was disappointed; the margarita's were way too salty, my dinner was okay, not exceptional as was my past experience at the other "sister" restaurants, and the ambiance was extremely loud and crowded. One server and also the manager walked into my chair at least 6 times. If its that much of an issue, widen the walkway. Sadly I wont be returning....it is the closest restaurant to me of the three but I will not be back. I have since read some other reviews and it seems these are common complaints. Good luck!"

  • "We went to this Mexican restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. The service is friendly, and the food is excellent. My husband had the grasshopper tacos and the pork. He loved them both. I am vegan, and frequently, there is nothing vegan on a Mexican menu. Here, there was an excellent jicama salad and rice and beans. The guacamole and pico de gallo were excellent and fairly priced. The margaritas use real lime juice and come well salted."

  • "We went with our 20 year old son and while my wife and I skewed the average of the dining crowd higher, we had a good experience. We shared the nachos with a side of guacamole and I had the fish tacos. My son had the pork carnitas tacos and my wife had chicken tacos. Everything tasted fresh and the chicken tacos got the nod as the best of the three (all were good). We would go back again."

  • "I've been a few times and I have loved it every time, their margarita's are great (as is their beer list!), the food has always been wonderful. It's on the pricer side of things for Manayunk but still very affordable. The chicken tacos are my go-to. I love the nachos as well! And of course the guacamole is phenomenal! All around, a great place to eat!"

  • "Food was good. I had the Tacos Al Pastor. Quite Tasty. While we were not rushed out of the restaurant, they turned the table around extremely fast. I think I had about one sip of my margarita before the entrees were in front of us. We were not in a rush, and would have liked to relax more. It was a busy Friday night, so this wasn't a big deal. I would highly recommend checking this out, just have a drink at the bar before getting a table."

  • "I had high expectations as I had heard good things about this place. I'll say it's kind of cool in terms of the decor(bright colors, exposed brick). The wait staff and "manager", while friendly, seemed young and somewhat disinterested. Menu had limited choices. I would recommend a drink called the Calaca- It was very yummy. All in all it was ok, but also pricey- so I prob won't be going back."

  • "Our dinner was delicious and the margaritas are great with many different options and some interesting twists. We did have a water spill, hence the lower service rating, but overall, the dinner was great. All of the food had great flavor and came out quickly. I will definitely go back."
