  • "We absolutely love fish and so we thought we'd try this place out again. They have a great Prix-Fix menu for $30 that turns out to be a good deal. A starter, entree and dessert. The bread they serve pre-meal is great, and the service was wonderful as well. Our issue was with the actual entree. It tasted as though the oil they were using was old. The manager was kind enough to offer a replacement but by that time we had eaten almost all of it. This was out third time here and have never been impressed. Most of the menu items (for dinner) are north of $23 & in my opinion just doesn't seem appropriate. We will stick to Kings Fish House which we find to be much better."

  • "We were celebrating our 44th anniversary. We didn't request a specific table so we were seated at a small table in the back section. We then requested a booth and were quickly accommodated. The table had sparkly stars covering the table cloth to add a festive touch. We love fish so my husband ordered the sea bass special and I ordered the telapia. Both delicious. The wine was very good and the second pour looked like an extra large one. We split the lettuce wedge and the artichoke appetizer. By this time we were full so when the complimentary creme brulee arrived, it just about finished us off. PS I still brought home half of my meal and had it for lunch the next day! Yum!"

  • "This is the 3rd year in a row we have gone to Taps for our anniversary. The food is excellant, service was great, In fact had same waitress 3 years in a row. My congressman was even having dinner there. I think it's probably the best restuarant in Corona. It's always good."

  • "The venue is easy to get to with ample parking. We went for Brunch. No omlette station so you order that off the menu and then visit the various stations for your other choices. The food was very good. My only disappointment was in the server. She rarely checked in us and when we did ask for anything...like more water please...she'd forget. I'll go again but I'll know that I may have to be more assertive if we need anything."

  • "I've been to the Mission Inn Brunch as well as various other ones near / in the Inland Empire and I have yet to find one that matches the food quality at Taps. I always bring vacationing friends, new friends, and family here and the experience has always been great."

  • "I've always loved their stuffed mushrooms and finally got a chance to go for the Sunday brunch buffet. The food was good and the service was great. I had a special request for fried chicken, the Chef made it spetacular and I can't help but wonder why they don't have it on the menu...although it was more of a nostagic play for a friend, the fried chicken was excellent! Definitely will be returning!"

  • "We had a reservation at 6:30PM on Saturday. Walked inside and it was at least 80 degrees inside the restaurant. They said they had the thermostat set at 71 degrees but it was still sweltering in there! Lots of other customers were complaining too! It was close to 98 degrees out side that day but that is no excuse - they clearly need to service the ac units or add larger units for such a big building. After I complained they did open up a small private room for us where it was cooler. Our bill for a party of five was over $300 so I think we should have been able to at least be at a comfortable temperature . Too bad because I do like the food there and had a great waitress!"

  • "Maybe the key to the brunch is to go early and fight the crowds. We arrived at 12:45, restaurant was half empty, still had to wait 15 mins to be seated, and most of the food was gone, or cold. They did replenish the items but it took a long time and they still weren't very hot. Not very good experience."

This visit it was busy and we had invited someone that did not show, so we just stayed in the lounge/patio area for dinner. We ordered appetizers, but never got bread. The service on the patio is still kinda slow and the servers seemed to be busing tables too. Either way, good food and she was nice and tried hard to keep us happy."

This will be one of or regular places to celebrate any occasion. I recommend this restaurant. We tried a variety of different dishes from the menu and we loved each one.   • "My wife and I finally ate here after a few time driving by, etc. We were plesently surprised with the quality of the food and the excellent service. Portions are quite substatial and the food very tasty. We were seated in the outside patio with a nice view of the "lake". There was a large group sitting right behind us. Even with that the noise level was energetic, but not overwhelming. We saw there was a bar with a live band playing, it seemed like a livley scene - but we didn't spend any time in there, so we can not comment."

  • "I went at 5pm on a Wednesday with family. Robin was our server and she was awesome. I ordered the tilapia and it was just as good as it sounded on the menu. For dessert we split the red velvet cake and bananas foster bread pudding. The cake was good but didn't taste like red velvet. The bread pudding was excellent. I can't say enough how great Robin was at anticipating our needs. My only problem was that I recd a drink from the bar and it was a slight lipstick stain on the glass. When informed of this the bartender immediately rectified the situation with a new drink in a clean glass. All other dishes were spotless. I would def come back to the place."

  • "We came here for fathers day and although the food was great, the wait staff was spread very thinly. We had to get up to get our own bar orders twice and our own salt and pepper. We also had to go to another table to borrow there Tabasco; in all fairness I know he was trying to keep up but he just didn't appear to have adequite help. It was very busy but there wasn't enough help."

  • "From the moment you walk in the service excels and the ambience draws you into a special mood. The wait staff is friendly yet never too pushy. The calamari and lobster potstickers were great starts. Everyone selected a different option from the fish items and shared no one was disappointed and everything was fresh and not overly sauced. For dessert was tried a variety as well and pleased at the presentation and the service. Though it was Friday night at 8:30 pm and full, we were pleasantly surprised how no other table seemed about though there were many bigger groups occurring. The wait staff made recommendations for our brew drinkers and non brew drinkers taking into account our preferences."

The place is a lityle on the high end but the quality of the food, the portions and the service is so worth it you won't mind. We will be going very soon! It was great."

My only wish is that they would vary the menu as we eat here often enough to have tried everything. Our waiter seemed to be in a bad mood but it was not directed towards us.   • "When I RSVP I was asked if I was celebrating a special occasion. I told the lady over the phone it was our anniversary. When we arrived we were seated right away. They took the time to put heart shavings on our table. This was our first time going to taps. I ordered the crab/tilapia and my husnad ordered a steak. The food was very good. My seafood was very fresh and my husbands steak was cooked to perfection! For dessert I had the creme brûlée and it was just delicious. We enjoyed our evening at taps. Service was great. Waitress was very nice and on top of everything. The only downfall was we asked to be transferred to a booth that we saw was empty and were told it was unavailable due to reserv, nobody ever showed and booth stayed empty. "

  • "Awful food and very slow service! Waited 40 mins for server to return with the check, did not end on a good note. Would not recommend. Go to wood ranch instead, I wish I had. I would've walked out but I felt bad for the server. I blame management for over booking and not having sufficient staff, front or back of house, to accommodate. Will not be going there again."

  • "It was Mother's day for dinner, they had just flipped the restaurant from the brunch that morning. Last time we went to a restaurant where this happened the service was terrible! So we were pleasantly surprised when taps not only had everything impeccably clean that the customer service was excellent! Being it was a special occasion we could have been rushed out of there but it was exactly the opposite we were there two hours exactly and got to enjoy the entire dinner! "

  • "Been here before and was better but Saturday night 5/3 the food was luke warm at best. Told the young manager and he offered free dessert but we were not hungry so we said no thank you. He comped nothing - $140 bill for luke warm food. They were clearly short staffed and I asked the manager and he said that was not the case. Not sure I will ever go back which is unfortunate because I live in the retreat. If the not so young GM wants to call and make it up let me know Jesse.Spungin@gmail.com....."
