  • "I CHECKED THE SITE OF THE RESTAURANT, AND IT INDICATED IT WOULD BE OPEN FROM 3:00 PM UNTIL 11:00 PM. SO I MADE A RESERVATION VIA OPENTABLE FOR 3:30 PM. WHEN WE ARRRIVED AT THE RESTAURANT AT 3:30 PM, IT WAS NOT OPEN. IT NEVER OPENED. NOW, I UNDERSTANDING BEING CLOSED, BUT THAT NEEDS TO BE REFLECTED ON THE INTERNET SITE. This will be one of or regular places to celebrate any occasion. I recommend this restaurant. We tried a variety of different dishes from the menu and we loved each one. I also enjoyed watching the chefs prepare their creations."

  • "My wife and I finally ate here after a few time driving by, etc. We were plesently surprised with the quality of the food and the excellent service. Portions are quite substatial and the food very tasty. We were seated in the outside patio with a nice view of the "lake". There was a large group sitting right behind us. Even with that the noise level was energetic, but not overwhelming. We saw there was a bar with a live band playing, it seemed like a livley scene - but we didn't spend any time in there, so we can not comment."

  • "I went at 5pm on a Wednesday with family. Robin was our server and she was awesome. I ordered the tilapia and it was just as good as it sounded on the menu. For dessert we split the red velvet cake and bananas foster bread pudding. The cake was good but didn't taste like red velvet. The bread pudding was excellent. I can't say enough how great Robin was at anticipating our needs. My only problem was that I recd a drink from the bar and it was a slight lipstick stain on the glass. When informed of this the bartender immediately rectified the situation with a new drink in a clean glass. All other dishes were spotless. I would def come back to the place."

  • "From the moment you walk in the service excels and the ambience draws you into a special mood. The wait staff is friendly yet never too pushy. The calamari and lobster potstickers were great starts. Everyone selected a different option from the fish items and shared no one was disappointed and everything was fresh and not overly sauced. For dessert was tried a variety as well and pleased at the presentation and the service. Though it was Friday night at 8:30 pm and full, we were pleasantly surprised how no other table seemed about though there were many bigger groups occurring. The wait staff made recommendations for our brew drinkers and non brew drinkers taking into account our preferences."

  • "We came here for fathers day and although the food was great, the wait staff was spread very thinly. We had to get up to get our own bar orders twice and our own salt and pepper. We also had to go to another table to borrow there Tabasco; in all fairness I know he was trying to keep up but he just didn't appear to have adequite help. It was very busy but there wasn't enough help."

  • "Went on the recommendation of a friend and we were not disappointed. The server Robin was amazing. She helped us with our choices and she was great with our kids ( 2 and 8). The place is a lityle on the high end but the quality of the food, the portions and the service is so worth it you won't mind. We will be going very soon! It was great."

My only wish is that they would vary the menu as we eat here often enough to have tried everything. Our waiter seemed to be in a bad mood but it was not directed towards us. I think it was just busier than anticipated, and maybe he was a bit frazzled."

  • "When I RSVP I was asked if I was celebrating a special occasion. I told the lady over the phone it was our anniversary. When we arrived we were seated right away. They took the time to put heart shavings on our table. This was our first time going to taps. I ordered the crab/tilapia and my husnad ordered a steak. The food was very good. My seafood was very fresh and my husbands steak was cooked to perfection! For dessert I had the creme brûlée and it was just delicious. We enjoyed our evening at taps. Service was great. Waitress was very nice and on top of everything. The only downfall was we asked to be transferred to a booth that we saw was empty and were told it was unavailable due to reserv, nobody ever showed and booth stayed empty. "

  • "It was Mother's day for dinner, they had just flipped the restaurant from the brunch that morning. Last time we went to a restaurant where this happened the service was terrible! So we were pleasantly surprised when taps not only had everything impeccably clean that the customer service was excellent! Being it was a special occasion we could have been rushed out of there but it was exactly the opposite we were there two hours exactly and got to enjoy the entire dinner! "

  • "Awful food and very slow service! Waited 40 mins for server to return with the check, did not end on a good note. Would not recommend. Go to wood ranch instead, I wish I had. I would've walked out but I felt bad for the server. I blame management for over booking and not having sufficient staff, front or back of house, to accommodate. Will not be going there again."

  • "Been here before and was better but Saturday night 5/3 the food was luke warm at best. Told the young manager and he offered free dessert but we were not hungry so we said no thank you. He comped nothing - $140 bill for luke warm food. They were clearly short staffed and I asked the manager and he said that was not the case. Not sure I will ever go back which is unfortunate because I live in the retreat. If the not so young GM wants to call and make it up let me know Jesse.Spungin@gmail.com....."

  • "I was in town for business and took my clients here for dinner. Started with a trip to the bar where the awesome bartender game me a sample of EVERY beer on tap!!! I then ordered my favorite(s) throughout the night. Next we moved to the dining room and had oysters, calamari, shrimp ceviche, and crab stuffed mushrooms, all of which were excellent. I ordered the surf and turf for dinner and it was excellent. The filet isn't as good as Ruth's, Morton's, etc. but it was still very good. The prices here are a bit steep (even for what you get) but the experience was wonderful! All 5 of us agreed that we'll be back."

  • "I took my mom here since it was recommended , service was great food was , so so I have had much better . I was impressed with the beer ! That was all . My mom ended up cutting her finger on the coffee cup , which the manager come over and gave us a band aide didn't offer to deduct anything from check or even ask for her number to follow up to make sure she was okay ! I would never take anyone here again . "

  • "I first dined at Taps in 2012, for my anniversary. The food, service and ambience was excellent. In the past 1-1/2 years, I've noticed a marked decline in the food. This weekend, my husband ordered the Top Sirloin cooked medium. The steak was dry and was cooked well done. They offered to recook but he declined. I had the Macadamia Crusted Sea Bass. No flavor and was over cooked. The desserts were much better. Creme brûlée and their sorbet were excellent. I rated the ambience low because they had a live band in their bar playing while at the same time the dining area had jazz playing. It was loud and the only time I could hear my dining partner was when the band next door took breaks. "

  • "The night was perfect from the time we were seated until we left, and it was especially enjoyable since the place was not overcrowded. My wife and I shared a lobster pot sticker appetizer that was great. I had a delightful rib eye steak that was cooked to perfection, medium rare and the side potatoes and asparagus we also very good. My wife had the Shrimp Christopher entrée that was wonderful. Delectable shrimp placed on a bed of bacon risotto. The dinner ended with a very nice little complimentary crème Brule with "Happy Birthday"written in dark chocolate and an ordered chocolate soufflé with cappuccinos. Super wonderful night!"

The major problem I had was the food. It was very blan and not flavorful and when coming to a restaurant all u care about is the quality of food and it was not good.   • "I selected this restaurant for my wife's birthday dinner as it was mid-way between the theater and home. I've eaten lunch here before and found the food, prices and service good. We were not disappointed as dinner was really good - wife had the 3 medallions of filet mignon and I had crab stuffed shrimp. Service was very attentive, everything was served hot and prompt, wine recommendation was excellent and turned out to be one of the least expensive offerings rather than the most expensive. Overall a great evening."

  • "My husband and I have been going here for years and we have never eaten anything that we did not love. They simply make great food. He likes the beer selections they brew. We both like that you can find something new on the menu on occasion. The inside and outdoor dining areas are beautiful. I appreciate that they offer discounts through the Entertainment book, and send coupons for birthday dinners, buy one get one. This is a pricey restaurant for us, but an indulgence we enjoy so much."

  • "Overpriced...plate was hot as if was under a heat lamp..one dish was the "special" Chilian sea bass..mushy fish over cooked on grits covered in butter..$100 with tip...If you want fish go somewhere else..it was like a TV dinner.....The Hawaiian fish my date had was good.."
