  • "The night was perfect from the time we were seated until we left, and it was especially enjoyable since the place was not overcrowded. My wife and I shared a lobster pot sticker appetizer that was great. I had a delightful rib eye steak that was cooked to perfection, medium rare and the side potatoes and asparagus we also very good. My wife had the Shrimp Christopher entrée that was wonderful. Delectable shrimp placed on a bed of bacon risotto. The dinner ended with a very nice little complimentary crème Brule with "Happy Birthday"written in dark chocolate and an ordered chocolate soufflé with cappuccinos. Super wonderful night!"

The major problem I had was the food. It was very blan and not flavorful and when coming to a restaurant all u care about is the quality of food and it was not good.   • "I selected this restaurant for my wife's birthday dinner as it was mid-way between the theater and home. I've eaten lunch here before and found the food, prices and service good. We were not disappointed as dinner was really good - wife had the 3 medallions of filet mignon and I had crab stuffed shrimp. Service was very attentive, everything was served hot and prompt, wine recommendation was excellent and turned out to be one of the least expensive offerings rather than the most expensive. Overall a great evening."

  • "My husband and I have been going here for years and we have never eaten anything that we did not love. They simply make great food. He likes the beer selections they brew. We both like that you can find something new on the menu on occasion. The inside and outdoor dining areas are beautiful. I appreciate that they offer discounts through the Entertainment book, and send coupons for birthday dinners, buy one get one. This is a pricey restaurant for us, but an indulgence we enjoy so much."

  • "Overpriced...plate was hot as if was under a heat lamp..one dish was the "special" Chilian sea bass..mushy fish over cooked on grits covered in butter..$100 with tip...If you want fish go somewhere else..it was like a TV dinner.....The Hawaiian fish my date had was good.."

  • "We love coming here, the service is excellent, the food amazing. Pricing is high so a whole dining experience for two including drinks dessert, appetizers cost us around $140. It was well worth it. We were seated promptly with a reservation from open table made an hour prior. We started of with oysters Rockefeller, then lobster bisque.. I had the filet trio medium rare and hubby had prime rib. Cooked to perfection and went well with our beers. Try "hops on the rocks" for somethig different. Finished off with Bananas foster. Not only were we stuffed but we left satisfied. yummy!"

  • "We met friends for a nice dinner. There are so many choices for meat and fish lovers. Sadly not many choices for vegan eating. They did accommodate me with veggies over white rice, not on the menu. While very tasty, they could have maybe one more choice. The waiter was attentive and helpful. We did have reservations, waited 30 minutes to be seated. We do enjoy dinning here. Will definitely come back. I liked being able to make reservations on line."

  • "This was a Great place for brunch. We first started visiting the Brea location . The plse was a real treat a bit pricey but Great food live music , I told everyone about Taps . Then we moved to Corona and we were very excited to hear about the new location ar Dos Lagos. Well we see with each vist the decline in selection , Ismaller portions , lower cost items . We had some great times at Taps but we will be moving on."

It was spicy and cam with mashed sweet potatoes. The server Courtney was more than great. Before we could ask for anything she was bringing it or asking if we needed it. There is nothing especially exciting about their menu, just good American fare (although they'll occasionally offer some progressive specials). The kids loves this place and we have also come here for date nights. It can get pretty noisy on weekend nights though. We have hosted our company's holiday party here a few times as well and it is perfect for large parties. Get the soufflé. Order it when you order your meal. Get a beer. Their brews are good!"

  • "I was very impressed once we objected to being seated on the patio with the bar crowd smoking they showed us to a nice banquette next to the kitchen. Food was great except for the dozen oysters we ordered,when I asked what type of oysters we had received the waiter basically made up some bull sh*t with names I have never heard one was gigantic and insipid with absolutely no flavor and wasn't properly chilled the other by comparison was a nice morsel in the mouth although a proper mignoette wasn't served and a mixture of horseradish and cocktail sauce was not very good in presentation.   • "I have been to Taps Corona once before and the take away from that first trip was underwhelming, even with the nice ambiance, private wine lockers, upscale brewery vibe. So when I got a gift certificate for my birthday, I was looking forward to a return trip.. taking money out of the equation, would I see it differently? Answer.. not really. My wife and I went for the Sunday brunch (which I understand is not really a showcase for "haute cuisine"). The "traditional offerings" were tasteless and odd (doctored up tater tots).. (and don't think of me as a food snob. At home I will mix any variety of left over weird stuff.. It's just that at a $33/head buffet, I expect more than what I would do at home). Go to Wood Ranch.. twice. for the same $."

  • "We were a party of 5 (one kids meal). This is our 3rd time to TAPS and I've had it. We always order Calamari for appetizer. As usual it was very good. The server did not tell us there were 2 ways of preparing Chilean Sea Bass. Miso Chilian Sea Bass was very DRY and overly cooked on top of white rice. A pricey $36! My son in law and I were the unlucky recipients. My daughter in law ordered the Tilapia and it was just blah. My husband ordered the pork chop. It looked impressive 4-5 inches tall and guess what?....tough!! Our grandson was the lucky one kids menu pepperoni pizza and since he couldn't eat it all, I ate his leftover. Overall I recommend only the Calamari and Peperoni Pizza. We paid $268 for disappointing food and untrained staff."

  • "Although I would characterize it as very good, it didn't match up to the first experience we had there a year or so ago. First, it was billed as a "Jazz Brunch" but there were no musicians, just the music feed. Previously they had jazz groups on site playing while we ate and we could walk around and stop and watch them play for a moment.....a very nice touch. Second, the food selection was not as abundant as in the past. There were no eggs offered except Benedict and, while nice, I felt there should have been an omelet bar or other choices. In fairness, there was a pasta station and oyster bar which were very good. The $32 price was a bit steep as there are many other places to compete for my dollar that offer a better experience."

Our waitress was attentive but patient, while we talked and never made us feel rushed. Even long after everyone else had left the patio section where we were sitting, they gave us enough privacy to finish getting to know each other. The wine was very good and the food excellent! The covered walkway just outside the back of the restaurant, that went around the lake, was a perfect way to end a dinner date."

  • "We go to TAPS for a great experience. Unfortunately that was not the case. We had a less than attentive waiter and it took a very long time four our food. When the bill is just under $200 for 2 adults, 2 kids and no alcohol you should expect a better experience. The manager was advised so we hope this was an isolated experience. We will give it one more try as long as we don't get the same waiter."
