I've had a good experienceI've had a good experience at Taps almost everytime. There's only been one bad experience & the manager did take action. It's just unfortunate I took my brothers there during that visit so they never want to go back. I've been back several times w/no regrets.

Great food,booz, and excellent atmosphere! While I've had quitea ffew items on the list notable choices are: Calimari provincial style, charbroiled oysters, and Chilean Sea bass. The potatoes were tired looking but the asparagus was perfect.
The coffee was too strong for even java junkies.
The ambience was excellent, Alex was top notch, but disappeared apparently due to being understaffed.
The wait staff were very welcoming and polite I just wished the food was better. Not one person out of our group of eight said a single thing about the bisque, magi magi and risotto or the rib eye.

The restaurant was nice and clean. The only issue I had was after making a reservation and showing up in time, i was told that we were checked in and would be seated right away. As we waited, another couple came in with the same reservation time as my wife an I. They were seated right away. Then a walk in group of 3 to 4 came in, and they were seated as we waited. Then a group with a pager was summoned up and seated. And we proceeded to wait another 5-10 minutes before we were finally seated. She never gave us chance to ask for refills, additional silverware or plates. The design of the restaurant seemed to have change since I last visited. I was disappointed that the chefs could not make a decent omelet. They were overcooked. I also noticed that there were no truffles. Roxie was nice enough to ask the chef to prepare them just for us. Sequines, tossed atop the table, was the start of a very enjoyable evening. Or waiter was knowledgable and fast to serve. The food was excellent, except the second filet of Sea Bass was WAY over salted and inedible. But other than that everything was fantastic. We plan on going to the Brea location as well.
