  • "Aller chez Tapéo, c'est s'assurer d'un repas de haute qualité, de saveurs étonnantes et de plats excellents. À tout coup! À chaque visite, je m'étonne de trouver un restaurant de classe dans un quartier loin du centre. Que ce soit pour le lunch ou le soir, la qualité des mets est excellente et les saveurs exceptionnelles. Et l'été les fenêtres s'ouvre sur la rue pour laisser la douceur du temps baigner la salle. Le décor est sobre et moderne. Mais on y va surtout pour la qualité des tapas et pour découvrir des agencements de goûts délicats et bien dosés qui réveillent nos papilles. C'est un endroit à connaître et à fréquenter."

  • "I found out about this restaurant through E38 and it lived up to my expectations great food, great service and at a reasonable price. Went 6 people had the waiter choose our meal for us and a bottle of Jameson total cost was 370 tax in. This is a must try and I highly recommend the short rob and salmon"

  • "Excellent food. It's my new favorite restaurant in Montreal. I had tuna, octopus, steak tartar, mushrooms, vine tomatoes - all were interesting and tasty. Staff was helpful in suggesting food and wine. Crowded- do make a reservation ahead of time. Dessert was ok, but not extremely excellent like the other courses."

  • "Nous mangeons régulièrement à ce resto depuis des années. Tapéo est dans notre "top 3" à Montréal. C'est de de ces restaurants qui font de Montréal un endroit spécial à vivre...ou à visiter. Les tapas sont raffinés et diversifiés. La carte des vins offre un bon choix de vins au verre. Le service est convivial sans être envahissant. Le stationnement y est facile. À cause de sa popularité, il faut réserver environ deux semaines d'avance pour les week-ends."

  • "They have an interesting well-priced lunch menu. We opted to order several tapas instead. The butternut squash soup topped with goat cheese was outstanding. The grilled octopus salad & cod with artichokes were very tasty. The restaurant has a lovely casual atmosphere. The waiter was very helpful and service was attentive. I have eaten here many times and will definitely keep going back."

  • "Great food, great ambiance and great service! my family of four, including a tween and teen, enjoyed a fun and delicious evening out at Tapas. We ordered approx ten different dishes and all of them were outstanding-from the calamari, scallops wrapped in bacon, garlic shrimp, veal shank to the churros with chocolate sauce and creme brûlée. The wine list is very extensive and well priced. We will definitely return!"

  • "We chose Tapeo on a whim when planning a Montreal trip on short notice. We were not disappointed. The menu selection was not overcrowded and the wine list was ample. Out server was fantastic and attentive even though the place was packed. He helped with wine and food knowledge and made our experience better than we expected. Highly recommend the cod with artichoke and truffle, the grilled octopus (best cooked octopus we've ever eaten) and the beef tartar. Don't waffle too much on your choices! We missed out on two tapas by ordering them too late in our meal. Dessert should also be a must!"

  • "We went there as a part of the Taste MTL week and we were happily surprised. We had the fixed menu offered on this occasion, which consisted of three courses of two plates each. Although we were afraid of the "tapas formula" (well, mostly my boyfriend who expected having to drop by McDonald's afterwards), there was plenty of food. I had heard good stuff about this place and it appeared it was worth it. Everything was very tasty, from the beef tartare with a sesame touch, to the zingy garlic shrimps. We fell for the turbot a la braz, so yummy and subtle, and for the blood pudding served with the Spanish-style hot pot! It all ended perfectly with the churros, served with a delicious caramel sauce. The service was very courteous and attentive."

  • "The food here is always excellent and the suggestions of the waiters is always perfect. I don't usually have fried calamari here because it's a common dish that could be found anywhere else but our guests wanted them. I must say they were the tenderest best I've ever had! And don't miss out on the short ribs with the potatoes. The owner is a community leader evidenced by the fact that for the next two weeks they were giving 2$ from their most popular tapas to Action Agaunst Hunger, to fight malnutrition in the world. How nice is that?"
