Tapeo Restaurant and Tapas BarOutdoor dining - early eveningA very good tapas bar. Four of us had eight tapas and a bottle of Rioja. Several of the tapas were ones we hadn't tried before and seven of the eight were excellent - thel last one only so-so. Of course, sitting outdoors and watching the Newbury street scene is lots of fun and not too noisy except for a few obnoxiously loud motorcycles. Service was relaxed but not overly so and very friendly. Highly recommend for a nice summer night. We went early (5 PM) with reservations - seated immediately.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMfantastic tapas!I love this restaurant and find myself returning consistently when I return to Boston, even when I feel I should try something new! The food is wonderful and I am always happier trying many small dishes than having one large plate before me. Diverse options, fair pricing, delicious food! I have been going to Tapeo and before that, Dali, for many years, beginning in the 90's (if I recall).5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and friendly serviceEnjoyed our dinner at Tapeo. The tapas was great, priced a little high but it was good. The view from upstairs overlooking Newbury is great.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMHidden Gem in Back BayAlthough we were off to rough start in the beginning (we had made a reservation for 8:30pm and weren't seated until around 9:15pm), the service and amazing food more than made up for it! Not to mention a round of sangria free of charge! The food was absolutely delicious, and it was wonderful getting to try so many different dishes for a reasonable price. I was with a group of 6 people, and were all able to converse freely and easily with one another since the space was well organized for all group types. Scrumptious food, tasty sangria, great ambiance, perfect, relaxing setting for a Friday night outing! Or any time really. Enjoy!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was absolutely fantastic. The food was absolutely fantastic. We were lucky enough to order their smokey seafood paella and it was a treat!!!
The tapas before the paella were delicious as well. The battered strawberries were incredible and lighter than I anticipated. My husband doesn't usually sing the praises of the meal while we are still in the restaurant but he couldn't help himself! So grateful to have discovered this fun, delicious and authentic tapas restaurant in Boston in one of it's poshest neighborhoods.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWent for restaurant week andWent for restaurant week and though food was delicious, did not leave there full. Thankfully not too crowded or loud. Lots of interesting food options, and the small plates allowed for trying new things. The service was good until the end when it took a long time to order and receive dessert. But all the food was delicious and everyone had a good time. Nice place.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat suggestion from a friendGreat suggestion from a friend who lived in boston for a while. The tapas and atmosphere did not disappoint, even after she raved about them for weeks before we came to boston. Would recomend to anyone without hesitation.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMI couldn't of asked for aI couldn't of asked for a better experience. The food was great along with some of the best cocktails I've had in awhile. I enjoyed the variety and can tell mixology is one of the great things about this restaurant.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMA must for Spanish food loversGreat Spanish food and wine - an authentic experience. We eat here whenever in Boston. We tend to stick with the chorizo, goat cheese, jamon, and torta. I had been telling our friends about the spectacular garlicky chicken but, it turns out that the original authentic-tasting recipe has been replaced by a sweet and sour chicken recipe better suited to a Panda Express. Still, there are plenty of items to love on the menu so we will be back!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMMy first time here. I reallyMy first time here. I really enjoyed all the menu items I ordered. I got 3 different tapas plates. Service was friendly and the food came quickly from the kitchen despite the place being very busy. Definitely would go back to try a different selection of small plates. Quick stop for some good food and drinks.3/8/2013 12:00:00 AM
