It was on our trip to Spain when we were introduced to the meaning of "Tapéo"; we were hopping between different Tapas bars every night; mingling and meeting different people from all walks of life; having great conversations and sharing life experiences with total strangers… All this while

having great "Tapas" that always came out at the right time to compliment yet another amazing glass of red Rioja… It was then, it is now, and will always be about having fun, feeling good, and being surrounded by good… That is what captured our hearts, and these are the memories that will stay with us forever… O&R

My fiancé and I met while we were both traveling in Spain and so the country has a special place in our hearts. We love Spanish food and wine but have been disappointed so many times with unauthentic tapas. But Tapeo 29 did not disappoint us. The wine selection was great, the tapas were authentic and the ambiance was amazing. I particularly loved the shrimp in garlic and the dates wrapped in jamon serrano. The only dish that I was disappointed at were the Jamon Croquetas. The outside was too dry and you could not really taste the Jamon. But in all honesty, I have never had good Croquetas outside Spain so I wonder why I keep ordering them. Overall great night and great food at Tapeo 29.

Tapas was nice and tasty but the amount you get was very small. 13 dollars for 4 tiny Gambas? So we ended up with a more expensive dinner than we hoped for, because we had to order more and more.

Seems like a reliably good spot in the East Village. Everything was good, but nothing was exceptional. For a low key night and a solid standby this place fits the bill. If you're looking for an exceptional meal out, this probably isn't it.

One of the best boozy brunches in NYC. I always get the steak and eggs and chorizo al sidra (chorizo cooked in apple cider) - yum! The service is always welcoming and attentive. A true gem in LES.

This was my 2nd time at this restaurant. Both times were very good. It's a tight space restaurant, but they make do. We had 6 people in our party. My friend had a big bouquet of flowers and they helped her put it in storage. The food was really good. Especially the steak with the mushrooms and the dates with the bacon. The service was good. Very friendly and made sure we were okay.

Tapeo has a comfortable ambiance and we experienced excellent service. A good place to take my out of town niece and her friend. The food, however, was somewhat mediocre - salty and overcooked as well as expensive for what we got.
