"Service was lacking. Although the menu items read well, the actual food lacked quality and taste. And contrary to the gushing hostess proclamation, it was not "fun". Fun in that regard includes better than lackluster service and so-so meals."

"The food was very good and we enjoyed it tremendously. The only issue we had was that half of the dishes we ordered didn't come out...ever. This worked out for us since we were full by the time we finished what we had. However, it was disappointing that we were the ones who had to point out that our dishes never came out."

"The food at Tapastre is very good, both in terms of menu selection and quality of food. The service however was awful. It took an inordinate amount of time for them to bring out our first round of plates, even though one was just pate. The server was not particularly attentive - be seemed busy even though the restaurant was far from full. The food runner had an attitude. The hostess was much faster to clear our plates than anything was brought out. None the less, we didn't go there for a quick meal, and the food balanced out - but did not overcome - the poor service."

"I am from out of state and found this place on Yelp (it had great reviews), I was not disappointed! The food was excellent and our waiter was very helpful. This only thing I would note is that they are a small restaurant and had one large party that really slowed down the kitchen."

"We were a group of 3, and ordered 10 different plates, which was too much food. The presentatin of all items was wonderful, and some dishes were outstanding (scallops, lamb chops, beef short ribs, Tapastre Trio). It was fun to try dishes from many different countries. Great desserts - lavender creme brulee (!) and cappuccino rounded out the evening. We spent a leisurely 2 1/2 hours, and they brought 3 or 4 dishes out at a time so we were not rushed and food was fresh."
