Greeted by the owner, who put up with my middling Spanish and gave recommendations for upcoming trip to Spain/France. Service was prompt, courteous, and attentive. The restaurant is open and airy, with good views of the neighborhood.
Ordered off the regular and happy hour menu. Options off both menus were excellent. Sangrias were smooth and very tasty, not the usual bad wine stuffed with fruit.

Added up to a great evening with the girlfriend. Great for birthdays but dont expect a quiet place to have a conversation. Very lively and a lot of fun . The singers and dancer were great and they actually seemed to enjoy their job! I was extremely pleasantly surprised. It's hard to find real paella in the US and this place reminded me of just why this dish is so popular. Plus each the the different tapas we tried were all out-of-this-world. There was live music, Spanish guitar, and we dined outside under a perfect desert moon. It is elegant without being stuffy. Great evening that of course led to even greater sex later. The food is delicious and the tapas style of dining makes it fun to pick and share food with your friends. What a gem I found in Scottsdale. We sat on the patio which was lovely. We didn't know which wine to order and the server help us select a delicious wine. The food was amazing! We had a few tapas and a paella. The food is very authentic. All were mouth watering but our favorite was easily the Paella and the dates stuffed with goat cheese! The ambiance is romantic, intimate, and cozy. The service was great from bus boys to our waiter! It was a fantastic experience. We went ahead and order all the chef specials from goose to broccoli blossom all of them magnificent choice , after dinner we meet the chef and buy us a liquor I think call 43 what a. We like to start with the champagne sangria! They had a chef's choice 6-dish special which made it easier. It included lamb and beef tenderloin; Machego cheese; shrimp with garlic; red pepper stuffed with cheese; date filled with cheese and wrapped in pancetta; paella with shrimp, mussels, clams, and chicken. Everything was so good and unfortunately, by the time the paella came, we were too full to eat it up. It really hurt to throw it away because it was THE BEST paella I have ever had (we were staying at a hotel and were leaving the next day). We didn't even have enough room for dessert. Extremely loud music.What a great place. Food is really great. Menu a little difficult to understand until you finally grasp the sampler concept. Friday and Saturday nights they have music. But it is flamenco and castanets. If you are there to visit with anyone while eating, do not go on Friday or Saturday night or if you do, reserve a table outside. We enjoy music but not when it is so loud you can't hear yourself think. We complained the first time we ate here because we were stuck at an inside table. Complaint not heeded. Overall the food is wonderful. Loved the music and Flamenco dancers. Perfect seat on the patio afforded a nice view and still allowed us to see and hear the entertainment inside.
A couple dishes were outstanding--the shrimp "pil" in a smoky, spicy red sauce, and the paella--and one I wouldn't recommend, a small plate of overly salty sausages not much different from the prepackaged kind. Nobody else at my table wanted to try the lamb chops, and the waiter even ho-hummed them, but they were perfect and I didn't need an entree after that.
