Diner Reviews
  • "Convenient to downtown Bellevue, but out of the shopping malls. Service was good, food arrived with no delays. Orders were accurate, even with substitutions or deletions of certain items. Waiter was professional and not too friendly. Food was good -- lots of it and quality was just fine for the price. My salad was fresh and the fish tacos were very nicely seasoned."

  • "Good place to hold a birthday party dinner. Lots of room and there is a beer on tap for everyone. And my nieces thought the male servers were especially cute!"

  • "went in for lunch on Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was less than half full. Our waiter took f-o-r-e-v-e-r to do absolutely anything with or for us. It took over 30 minutes for us to receive our burgers after finally getting to order. What should have been a 45 minute to an hour lunch was well over 90 minutes. The waiter was not apologetic in any way, which is kind of the worst of it."

  • "The food and the beer was wonderful. The wait staff was very attentive and everyone was very happy with thier foor and dining experience. The Lombarde Frambroise (I think that is what it was called) is fabulous. It is a raspberry beer that is equal to a raspberry martini. There were 5 of us in our lunch party. Everyone received their drinks and food at the same time. The food was hot and tasty."

  • "This was a great dinner choice for our group of 7: friends gathering, not having seen each other in months, wanting to catch up and enjoy a meal together. Menu has wide variety of choices, something for everyone. We were seated at a round table, perfect for visiting. We had an early reservation, and that was good, because as the evening got later, the restaurant grew noisier. Friendly, attentive service but not too intrusive. There when you needed something, but never interrupting our conversation."

  • "Met another couple for dinner 6:30 Friday night. Was busy with an energetic atmosphere. The cocktail seemed a little watered down, they had a good selection of wines and of course beer. The menu has a little something for everyone. The lamb shanks could have been cooked a little more as the meat should just fall off the bone with a fork in my opinion. Wait staff was attentive but forgot to box up left over the crab mac and cheese."

  • "Good selection of beer (which a place calling itself the Taphouse must have). Had the crab mac and cheese--perfect for the mood I was in at the time! Portions were very good. The bar side is a typical male-dominated sports bar, so keep that in mind when planning."

  • "This was our second time there. we live in Olympia and drove to Bellevue just to go to the Tap House. it is one of our favorite restaruants. it was my boyfriends birthday and we have always gotten great customer service and the food is excellent not to mention all the beers on tap as my boyfriend is a beer snob....all the staff were very friendly and eager to please. They also gave him a free desert for his b-day. We will be back in the very near future."

  • "They advertise 160 beers on tap yet the first 2 I tried to order were out. Not a great start when the whole reason I went was to check out the big selection. Still 158 is great assuming they were not out of others. Turkey club sandwich was above average and for only $11 was a good buy. I will return and would recommend to friends."

  • "Came here to grab a beer with a co-worker after work. Loved the huge selection of beers on tap! And the food was decent too. Server wasn't very attentive and I'd have to stop someone passing by to get a water refill so I wouldn't come here if you expect great service. But if you want great beer, this is your place."

  • "Going to the bar can get very repetitious however going to the TapHouse is always an adventure. You can have a different beer for every day of the year including the rotating seasonal beers. I have never seen so many options for you to choose. Great fun, and the staff knows their stuff. Easily my favorite spot!"

  • "Stephaie our server was great and made an extra effort to ask the cook/chef if Tap House could accommodate our request...and they did!!!! Food was perfect and surprisingly the price is reasonable. Wonderful experience of trying Tap House. Thanks!"

  • "Partially, this was our fault. The restaurant attempted to put us at the smallest table in the restaurant. 5 in the evening, there were numerous booths available. We would have been better just walking in off the street. After requesting a better table, they did put us in a booth. Next time, I'll make sure I add that request on my Open Table reservation."

  • "The happy hour extends into the dining room so you never have to worry about getting a seat and they take reservations. The bar has a lot of seating and does fill up fairly quick. The happy hour has good deals on sushi and hot appetizers. Good stop for this."

  • "The Tap House is a great place to meet friends with excellent service, the drink menu has everything under the sun. The main dinner menu was excellent as well."

  • "I have been to the Taphouse many times and always have the same thing-- the parmesan crusted halibut over fettuccini noodles. It's normally just relish. This time the fish was soggy, the noodles, greasy, and I could hardly eat it. My boyfriend had BBQ ribs which he enjoyed (he's not all that discerning-- a rib is a rib-- as long as it's meaty it's good so says he). Our friend has maui maui which looked a lot better than my halibut. Will be back but fairly disappointed in the food this go around. We had two birthdays at the table and we enjoyed two birthday desserts compliments of Taphouse which is a really nice touch"

  • "We got a nice booth and while the bar was busy, the noise level was fine and we had a cozy diner for two.. Our waitress was very attentive and knew the menu and wine paitings well. The soups came almost immediately. The wine selection was good. We ordered burgers and the portions and options were good. Parking is validated and plentiful so it's much more convenient than bellevue square or lincoln square. We will be back"

  • "I first tried the tap house a few years back in Seattle, it was great. It seems now that they aren't what they used to be, menu changes among other things have ruined this place for me. On a whim I figured I would try the Bellevue location and see if it was any better, sadly it was not. We reserved a table but when we arrived we still had to wait 15 mind to be seated. Then I attempted to order a beer which they boast a rather large stock of, yet I had to list off 5 beers until I found one they actually had in stock. Then I didn't even get my beer for 10 more minutes. Then the food was merely subpar my wife barely touched hers said it tasted funny. Overall I think this marks my final visit to any tap house in this state at least."

  • "Tap House always delivers good food and has great staff there as well. They're polite, energetic and very professional. I had a spicy tuna roll and it was great. I'm sure I'll be booking another team lunch there again."

  • "I work at Microsoft and we often need a place nearby where we can show up with a larger group, with a guaranteed table reservation and good food. The beer selection is amazing! Especially our European visitors love it."

  • "Took our boy out for his 21st. Chose Taproom because of the tremendous variety of beer on tap. Fun place to start tasting and learning what you do and don't like. It has very fair prices and the food was soo good that I caught family members carrying on & on telling others about the meal we had here 2 nights before! Several of us had burgers, great quantity, quality and presentation. One had the lamb and gushed that it was great and half the price they would have expected. We all enjoyed the appetizers too. I thought it was especially reasonable that they didn't insist we be on one check although there were 10 of us. I never once had to ask for more drink, they were all over it. Same with empty plates and glasses. Well done."

  • "This is not the first time I organise business group lunches at Tap House, but it was the first time when the first 3 of our group of 10 arrived we were refused sitting until the rest of our group arrives. I asked hostess if the table is not ready, she said that it is ready, but she will wait to sit us untill more will show up, until then we can stand and wait. No smile, grim face and unwelcome attitude. Only when the rest of our group showed up she finally sit us. This is while we had a reservation for 10 and the dining room was almost empty. Waitress service was fine, I have problem just with hostess. I think I will take group lunches to a different venue for now until hostess or her attitude toward customers changes."

  • "If you want a good meal this is not the place. I ordered a spicy pasta dish that had no flavor, much less spice. We were a party of 10 and only 2 people from our party liked their meal. The beer selection was good but the food was pricey and not good."

  • "I remember when the Tap House was the new kid on the block and went many times. Over the years many amazing restaurants opened in Bellevue and never revisited this mainstay, until a month ago as it was one of the few Passport card participants in Bellevue. I was surprised by the food selections and quality. I returned here recently to find again the same quality in food. Great lunch selections, similar to Palomino."

  • "If you like craft beer, this is the place: 160 on tap. Food is good. Fit for foodies, as long as we're talking about beer. Fairly simple presentation, but way beyond the "pub food" mix. They're interesed in having you around and sampling more beer, so they don't rush you out. Noise level allows real conversation. I like the place and stop by whenever I'm in Bellevue."

  • "I have gone to the Tap House many times over the last decade and this by far was one of the worst experiences I have had. The music was turned up so loud in the dining are you had to almost yell to talk to the person right next to you and couldn't hear the person sitting across the table. the whole restaurant smelled of Chlorine bleach. The food was OK, but rather bland compared to normal and the drinks were poorly made and didn't taste like they normally due."

  • "We had friends visiting, and needed a place for our whole family, on relatively short notice. The Tap House was able to configure seating for 8 plus, and provided a great dining experience for all. Vegetarians need to know that their burgers are available with Boca patties, and they're very accommodating. The ambience is casually elegant, service friendly and attentive, and the noise level allows for conversation."

  • "The food was very good as were the drinks. The sour patch cocktail is amazing! My friends and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and got great service. Loved the crab bisque as always and had the dungeness Mac and cheese. The sauce was a bit rich for both that and the penne dish my friend got but still good. The calamari was delicious as well. Seemed like a good spot where it was mostly adults and older families or groups. Very few to no children which I really appreciated. Pretty reasonable pricing as well."
