Taormina Sicilian CuisineDelicious Food, Excellent ServiceOur dinner at Taormina was fantastic. We sat upstairs across form the open kitchen and it was fascinating watching the orchestration of the meals. I started with the four cold appetizers. Each was tasty with enough substance to please. My wife started with a hearty bowl of minestrone which was packed with veggies and she couldn't finish. My main course was a local fish, uku, which was very flavorful but could have been more quantity. My wife had the risotto which was creamy and delicious. Elaine, our server, was very pleasant and efficient filling water glasses and pouring wine as well as holding conversations with patrons. Our favorite dishes are the grilled half chicken, fresh pasta dishes and the most generous and perfectly prepared duck breast with foie gras
The atmosphere was excellent. The main room is lively and the outdoor area is cozy, too. They brought us an excellent dessert plate consisting of a tangy lemon gelato, crispy cannoli and by far, THE lightest and best tiramisu we've ever had. We were surprised it wasn't floating in mid-air.

If you coming for lunch they have really great choices of happy hour. You have your choices of inside and outside tables. Great for night out with friends or loved ones. I live here in Honolulu & I have found it to be about the most authentic Sicilian Italian restaurants in the state. I am a foodie and a good home chef (make my own pastas & sauces from recipes I've learned while traving in Italy). I just took a couple of friends to Taromina just the other day after I returned from another trip to Italy I made. My friends and I loved the food. The linguine con sarde is as good as any I have found at any Italian restaurant in the United States. Their fresh flavor food will not leave you with the feeling of needing a nap afterward. Truly great service, delicious food and a very comfortable restaurant. The service was fantastic! Our waiter was beyond helpful. In an effort to maintain a vegetarian diet I requested a vegetarian meal. Normally I don't ask because there is such a negative response to vegetarians. The waiter surprised me by saying their chef would be happy to make me a vegetarian meal. He recommended the noodle made daily by the chef with an arrabbiata sauce it was fantastic! Thank you chef! The wine he selected was reasonably priced and complimented my meal as well and my wife.
