A word from Tao Restaurant and Nightclub
Guests are transported from the City of Sin to the Pacific Rim inside TAO Asian Bistro, a 44,000 square-foot, multi-story “Asian City” housing a restaurant, banquet facilities, lounge and nightclub. Lush velvets and silks, waterfalls and century-old woods and stones accentuate the experience, and the restaurant’s signature 20-foot Buddha watches over every corner of the restaurant while floating peacefully above an infinity pool complete with Japanese koi.

Corporate Executive Chef Ralph Scamardella has developed a menu for the 400-seat restaurant by incorporating culinary components from China, Japan and Thailand. Signature dishes include offerings from sea, sky and land including Chilean Sea Bass Satay with Wok Roasted Asparagus, a preparation of Peking Duck that consistently receives accolades, and Kobe Beef Shabu Shabu along with a full sushi bar.

Diner Reviews
  • "We had our last night in Vegas, a group of 8 of us. We pre-booked this table as I had attended the Manhattan restaurant. It was all we expected and more. Food was sensational - all chosen by our fantastic waiter - the ambiance, drinks and service. All excellent. I will be recommending this to every friend and person I know going to Vegas. This is a "must-do" in Vegas. I will include this to the list of things Vegas has to offer. Thank you so much Tao!"

  • "With so many choices in LV it is hard to find a bad restaurant and Tao is one of the best. Loved the ambiance, food and decor. Fun night out."

  • "This is our must do each time we visit Las Vegas. It is one of the finest restaurants in the city. Everything is done to perfection. We have moved from the menu and ask for the tasting selection, but always with the Chilean Sea Bass. We will return upon our next visit to LV."

  • "Food and signature drinks were incredible! Such a beautiful restaurant!"

  • "Everything was amazing. Our waiter was great - he antipated every need and make great recommendations. But the food was the diamond in our experience - the Chilean sea bass was out of this world - it melted in your mouth. Everything we ordered was truly amazing. I will always eat here when I come to Vegas."

  • "Tao in Vegas is a great hot spot with good food and amazing cocktails. I haven't checked the NYC one out yet but will definitely go there based on this experience. The place is well decorated and cavernous! The music was a bit too loud as a result the chatter was loud too since everyone had to talk over the music. Service could've been better though. I told our server that my fiancé and I were getting married the next day and he didn't even say Congratulations! Odd."

  • "This is not the first time we've been to this restaurant, the atmosphere is great and the food is delicious. This time it was the waiter job to kick us out of there as soon as possible, first he asked if we would like to drink, when we asked for few more minutes he came back after 30 seconds asking again! Second, after the first person finish his meal, the waiter asked him if he would like a desert menu while the rest are still eating!!! Third, When we finished everything he asked if we would like a desert, we replied "few more minutes", 30 seconds later we received the check (!!!) of course we ignored it and ordered the amazing giant fortune cookie after few minutes. I had similar experience at TAI New York. I hope it is not their policy."

  • "The ambiance and engery of Tao was everything that I expected. The sushi was quite good however the remainder of the menu was quite pedestrian. The run of the mill menu items were over priced for the quality served. Service was incosistent at times meeting expectation other times non existent. One of my dinner guests had beer spilled all over him. ( the restraunt manager did provide a dry cleaning voucher ) The meal and service did not stand up to the market hype"

  • "Loved the energy and scene, this is a happening place. Second floor view was great, food was quite creative, well seasoned (meaning balanced and not a salt mine), it was just what we wanted, eclectic creative pallets from the kitchen and not standard Chinese food. Loved your 30' Buddha and Koi pond, nice touch!"

  • "It was a yummy dinner, staff very friendly and our waiter was great! I'm sorry I can't remember his name but we were a party of 2 at 7:30 on Tues. April 8th."

  • "When I go to Las Vegas, always return to Tao. Everything is spectacular. Its atmosphere and decoration is the most top of LV. Their food is excellent. This time we played in the second level, and the service was very good. And as there is always that continue the party, then continue to the club. Unforgettable Night"

  • "Jeffrey was the best server of all time and I eat out often. On top of service, food and ambiance was great. The DJ spun great music while we ate and it was right volume to still carry a conversation. Free dessert for birthday was nice touch. Be sure to get stamped for free club access if you want to go upstairs at some point in the night."

  • "This restaurant has a very unique atmosphere. It has an Asian modern flair that is also calming and romantic. The sea bass was the best sea bass I have ever had. Lobster wontons as an appetizer is also a must. If you are a chocolate loved the molten cake is one of the best I have ever had. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to experience a unique atmosphere with great food and service."

  • "Came here for the third time, and I would go again if I come back to Vegas. The food is always good and fresh and creative. Had the miso glazed Chilean sea bass, and it just melted in the mouth. The place is very pricey, but to be expected at a nice upscale place in Vegas. The location is great in that it is right there when you walk into the Venetian, you don't have to go on a search to find it. Would recommend to anyone who loves sushi/Asian food!"

  • "Great food and service. Great place to eat before hitting the Tao club."

  • "This place is okay---it's fun--but it's far too noisy and they played the same music-beat over and over again. It was really distracting and loud. The food was okay. We had lobster dumplings--they were great. I had the shrimp dinner and it was pretty bad. It's a cool place, I might say it's better to hang in the lounge."

  • "Food was ok but impossible to enjoy a dinner out when you can't hear a word of what your partner is saying..... Service was too fast making it impossible to ''sit back'' and enjoy!"

  • "Every time we visit Vegas we make sure to visit Tao for dinner and it never disappoints. The Lobster Wontons with Shiitake Ginger Broth were one of the best things we ever tasted! We did a few rolls of sushi and one was better was the next! We couldn't have been more pleased with the meal. We accompanied our meal with a tasting flight of sake and since it was my birthday we were given the Giant Fortune Cookie for desert. Everything was perfect including the service and atmosphere. We will definitely be back again!"

  • "I only wish they reduce the wait time after reservation. I know this is a nice strategy, make people hang out at their bar so they spend more $. But seriously, that is the only down side .. every thing was fantastic. 1. Great food 2. Great table service 3. Great crowd 4. Free entrance to the night club. It was fabulous if you can overlook the 30-35 min wait. Next time, I will eat a small snack if I am little hungry upfront so I can bear the wait."

  • "Went to Tao not knowing what to expect. Young vibe, dramatic decor, fusion cuisine. Everything turned out well, from service to food. Spicy tuna tartare on crispy rice beautiful and delicious. Pork dumplings flavorful with light pastry. Spicy eggplant ratatouille surprising (in a good way). Omakase sushi was fresh, professionally prepared and well-presented. Sake menu could use some annotation, but the wine list is fine. We were never rushed but always attended to. This is a fine restaurant anywhere."

  • "This one of my stop for dinner when I visit Vegas. Food is always consistent and service was excellent by Charles. I love the food. We had the wonton with lobster, Peking duck, orange chicken and mandarin fried rice with pork and all were delicious. If you don't like the noise and crowd, make your reservation early. I love this place!!!!"

  • "Went here to grab a lil sushi and was a lil disappointed. The place is amazing inside. Very hip and chic. The ingredients were very fresh, but the presentation was what I would expect from my neighborhood sushi joint and flavors did not excite like I would have expected."

  • "The restaurant food is delicious, but the nightclub is a nightmare. My husband and I (both in our 40s) went there after dinner (entry is included). We ordered a drink, went to dance, and were promptly asked to leave because I was "too inebriated". No explanation was given re what I did to get kicked out. They didn't even allow me to go back and get my jacket - I lost a brand new leather coat. It was absolutely outrageous and we will never spend another penny at the Venetian for anything - hotel, restaurant, nightclub. The cops we spoke to warned us that club bouncers can do whatever they want, whenever they want, and the only explanation we can come up with is that we didn't fit the profile of their desired customer - we were too old."

  • "I always love going to Tao and have been there 4-5 times. The food is great, service is very good and the "scenery" is top notch. That said for a corporate type meal with business colleagues it is a little loud if you need to discuss any business."

  • "We were just there on Sunday celebrating my sister's big 2-1. I recommend making a reservation. I can't brag enough about our waiter. He was awesome! he walked us through the entire menu. I am 7 weeks pregnant so I asked if he could recommend something non alcoholic. He went above and beyond to make something "special" Their cocktails are crafted so everything is fresh. He was also very thoughtful in the dessert that he chose to bring out for my sister's birthday. It was their giant fortune cookie which is the best dessert. This coming from someone who doesn't like fortune cookies. I also recommend the five spice ribs. I cant remember his first name but ask to be seated in J Macintosh's section. Seriously one of the best waiters in Vegas."

  • "Dinner then club right there. We had dinner there and the food was really good. Got free entry to the club (no line up required ). The place is very grand with a huge budda statue in the middle. No recommended for people who are Buddhism. One of my friend is religious and she was uncomfortable with the statues. everywhere. They had statues even in the washroom."

  • "The ambiance is disney quality, well done. Food was OK. Server was hustling us out as quickly as possible, could not enjoy the experience - felt pressured. Very loud music was appropriate, but the speakers throughout the restaurant were blown so it was terrible sound quality, most songs were heavy on bass and the blow speakers rattled and sound awful."

  • "Took a group of 6 of us. Edmond our waiter was great. We let him make all the picks and shred family style for the table. He took excellent care of is."
    Dined on 3/29/2014
  • "The food was outstanding!! Service was just okay - waiter wasn't very personable and we had to wait 10 mins for our table even with a reservation. The noise level increased closer to the club opening @10am which made it a difficult to have a conversation. Other than that, great place to eat and a fun night out!!"

  • "My wife and I have been to many Restaurants but the music, the food, the atmosphere in Tao , Las Vegas has no comparison. The service was absolutly perfect. We had at least four different people talking care of us. I went only for dinner but next time we are staying for the rest if the night."

  • "Everything was very nice. The appetizer plates came with exact number of pieces for our group of 6, whether that was designed specifially or not, it was a very nice benefit. The only negative was it took a long time to get our bill as the machine was down apparently and of course we were in a rush to get to a show."

  • "The food, service and ambiance was outstanding. Nothing much to say there. But someday, somebody shoudl explain to me why in a restaurants you are not able to talk to the person next to you because of the music being too loud!!! It is a restaurant, not a bar... Who in a restaurant is enjoying that?"

  • "Arrived at 7:05 pm for our 7 pm reservation and were seated immediately. Drinks were great - had two martinis and a standard bar drink. Tried the potstickers as an appetizer and they didn't disappointed. Husband had the crunchy spicy tuna roll and said it was fantastic. I had the lo mein with roast pork and it was very good as well. The best part of the entire night had to be the dessert - molten lava cake with coconut ice cream. To die for!"

  • "it's not listed on the menu, but we go once a year & ask for them to "take care of us"...they make it seem like they'll put something together for us...it seems to be more or less the same every year, but it's amazing & filling. Way more tastes than if you ordered directly off the menu. Definitely worth it regardless if it's a standard but hidden menu option or waiter's choice each time."
