A word from Tao Restaurant and Nightclub
Guests are transported from the City of Sin to the Pacific Rim inside TAO Asian Bistro, a 60,000 square-foot, multi-story “Asian City” housing a restaurant, banquet facilities, lounge and nightclub. Lush velvets and silks, waterfalls and century-old woods and stones accentuate the experience, and the restaurant’s signature 20-foot Buddha watches over every corner of the restaurant while floating peacefully above an infinity pool complete with Japanese koi.

Corporate Executive Chef Ralph Scamardella has developed a menu for the 400-seat restaurant by incorporating culinary components from China, Japan and Thailand. Signature dishes include offerings from sea, sky and land including Chilean Sea Bass Satay with Wok Roasted Asparagus, a preparation of Peking Duck that consistently receives accolades, and Kobe Beef Shabu Shabu along with a full sushi bar.

Diner Reviews
  • "Our family of four ate here on our last night in Vegas. We asked for a different table after being seated right by the bathroom/clean up room doors and they put us in a more scenic area. There was no wait for a table. We ordered too much food - sushi, an appetizer and our main courses. The spicy tuna roll was very nice, as were the pot stickers. The lobster pad thai was just ok, it was actually sweet. My coconut shrimp was great and there was enough Asian slaw that I didn't need the vegetable with noodles side dish, that went to waste. My daughter had orange chicken which she said was the best she ever had, and my son had fish (can't remember which) that he really enjoyed. This is a special occasion restaurant with a cool vibe."

  • "Food is always great and the environment is very comfortable. The Crispy Spicy Tuna Rolls are great, the Pork Potstickers are always our choice. The Scallops are the best in Vegas and the Salmon is always fresh and very tasty."

  • "I have dined at this restaurant a few times; I made sure to note in my reservation this was for a bachelorette party, and to seat us closer to the buddha for a nicer view; they seated us far away; the waiter was awful, didn't re-read our order when we were confused that he said we only ordered 2 entrees (we ordered orange chicken, sea bass, chili chicken, pad thai, and a large roll). For 4 girls, I thought that was too much food and when one of the girls wasn't sure what if it was or wasn't -- waiter just said, oh you only ordered 2 entrees. He didn't even read back the whole order like a normal waiter would and we were left confused. Also, kind of weird that they don't have free refills on soda..."

  • "I come to tao each time I am in Vegas. I'm giving 3 stars based on experience this time around. We had a great dinner. After dinner, we decided to go to the nightclub. No one ever came up to our table to stamp our hands. We walked up to the front desk and they directed us to the bouncer in front. I let him know we just finished dinner and didn't receive our stamp, his response "get in line". I told him we just stepped out of dinner and were told to come up to him... "Did you hear what I said, you need to get in line. You are not going to cut all these people. " I was in shock. Nevertheless, I wasn't about to stand in a line that wrapped around the floor AND deal with his attitude again. An experience like this ruined my view on Tao."

  • "I scheduled a 21st b-day party for my son and friends at the Tao on Friday evening the 4th of July. We had an absolutely scrumptious dinner and ended up staying at the night club for an awesome evening of fun and entertainment! I would do it all over again........in fact, I'm scheduling our time next year now for his 22nd birthday:)"

  • "The food was great but the night club STAY AWAY. They really over crowd the place to the point you can barely walk and can't even reach for a drink! It's also a headache to get in the nightclub even though you had dinner there. You need to get like 3 stamps. It's ridiculous. I was with a handicap and they even gave him a hard time a made him walk back and forth. Overall we had a bad experience And I would not recommend it to anyone."

  • "We had an amazing dinner at Tao- it he good was unreal, service was on point, and the crowd was vibrant. It was a bit noisy (to be expected) but it didn't bother us. We had a lovely little table on the second level overlooking the Buddha and fountain. I would definitely go back. Highlights: sea bass, lobster dumplings, and tuna tartare."

  • "The food was fantastic. The flavors were unique and well matched. The service, however, was very slow. We spent a lot of time waiting to place our order and waiting for the check."

  • "Secondary waiters were didn't respond to our thank-you's, didn't make eye contact and made it clear they didn't want to be there. Our head waiter went through the motions of what he was supposed to do but didn't respond to our thank-you's either or interested in serving us. Our head waitress the day after at the Cheesecake Factory was a lot busier but still managed to do an amazing job. You go to a restaurant and hope for at least friendly service. We've been to places where the food wasn't great but came out with good feelings about the establishment because of the service. We don't expect servers to go out of they way but we expect them to at least make us feel welcomed. PS... The attitudes of the hosts was the first red flag."

  • "Came in with a group of lady friends who flew in all over the country and was very excited to get us all together in one place. (10 of us) It took over an hour to get out orders placed, and another 40 minutes before we received our food. Though food was delicious, I didn't finish all of mine from all the traveling, I (& a few others) planned to bring our left overs back to our hotels. Our food was cleared w/o asking if we were finished (an exceptional amount of food went to waste) And when It came to pay, we mentioned we forgot to ask for separate checks, and our server said we would make his job much easier if we would had told him that from the start. I work in the service industry and expected far more from them."

  • "The place wasn't crazy for a monday, much welcomed (I've seen a thurs-sat night here), yet we still had to wait for a table. No problem, to the bar we go. Our bartender, we wished was our server. She was lovely and makes a delicious drink. Quickly swept to the upstairs for a nice view of the place. Was brought tap water without being asked if we had a preference, which we do. After requesting the switch, It took 20 minutes to get bottled water. Everything seemed to take a long time. Including one of our guests entrees. She ordered a sushi roll, and was told upon ordering that it may take a little extra time to arrive. Except that the rest of us were done with dinner before she got her food. A bit disappointed, will stick to NY's locations."

  • "The Chilean sea bass appetizer was the highlight of the meal; the glaze was delicious and fish cooked perfectly. The sushi rolls we ordered were just okay mostly because they tasted predominantly of rice. Noise level was very high. Great spot for drinks and nightlife but personally would go elsewhere for dinner."

  • "This was a birthday dinner for a friend of mine and we loved everything about it. Our server was amazing and very knowledgeable about the menu; his recommendations were on point every time. I would come back every time I'm in Vegas as well as try the location in my home state."

  • "From the moment we walked in, I wasn't sure if we were there for the food of the nightlife. The place was very crowded. It was EDC weekend so I didn't expect less in such a popular spot. We made a reservation for 10:15 pm but got there at 10:00 pm, and had to wait about 25 minutes to be seated, then the food experience began. We had the HUGE vegetable egg roll and it was awesome! we also ordered the Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice and it didn't last more than 2 minutes on our table. I ordered the STS roll and my husband the Dragon roll and both were also very good, they didn't impress me but it was still good. The Orchid sake was delicious! Overall, a great experience. Our server Charles was very attentive. A bit pricey but worth it!"

  • "We've been to Tao a number of times over the years, and it just never disappoints... at least on the food side. Again, the food & ambiance was outstanding. Unfortunately, we drew a young girl for a server that frankly should find a different line of work. She was curt, short, snooty, arrogant, not helpful in any manner, late with everything... need I go on? We sat within plain view of the servers station where we saw her taking personal cell calls and joking around with other restaurant staff. All this while we were waiting for actual service. Just so the Management can tell who this person was, and take action, we were a party of 5, at 7:00 PM and made our reservations via Open Table. Disappointing experience, yet we still like Tao."

  • "I had been to Tao before, but this time was one for the books. We had a reservation and arrived a bit early and we were seated right away. I was with my best friend so we wanted to share a bunch of items on the menu. The staff was so friendly and they were so attentive to our needs (always filling up our water, asking if we needed anything, etc). I definitely recommend Tao to people visiting Vegas."

  • "DELICIOUS one word or better yet EXQUISITE food. Gorgeous restaurant with a very cordial service from the moment you walk in. My daughter gave us a gift certificate to TAO. We ordered from the special menu where you have different dishes to choose from for a reasonable price. We also ordered an additional dish for my husband and I. It was all very, very good. I was surprise when they brought us the dessert all 3 different ice creams....delicious everything the egg rolls, main dish, just amazing. The service, very friendly, the restaurant just a WOW I do recommend TAO and if in doubt of a gift, there is always the gift certificates to this highly recommended restaurant."

  • "I was given a recommendation from the hotel I was staying at for this restaurant, it is located in the Venetian resort in Las Vegas right off the strip. It has the feeling of a Tibetan monastery for girls gone wild. It is cool dark and monolithic in the decor. A two story Buddha fills the interior of the dining space. The ambiance is awesome, the service was above average and the food did not disappoint. I love Asian cuisine but my dining partner was not as savvy and seemed to enjoy the dishes served. The salmon was perfectly prepared. I would love to go again."
