A word from Tao Restaurant and Nightclub
Guests are transported from the City of Sin to the Pacific Rim inside TAO Asian Bistro, a 60,000 square-foot, multi-story “Asian City” housing a restaurant, banquet facilities, lounge and nightclub. Lush velvets and silks, waterfalls and century-old woods and stones accentuate the experience, and the restaurant’s signature 20-foot Buddha watches over every corner of the restaurant while floating peacefully above an infinity pool complete with Japanese koi.

Corporate Executive Chef Ralph Scamardella has developed a menu for the 400-seat restaurant by incorporating culinary components from China, Japan and Thailand. Signature dishes include offerings from sea, sky and land including Chilean Sea Bass Satay with Wok Roasted Asparagus, a preparation of Peking Duck that consistently receives accolades, and Kobe Beef Shabu Shabu along with a full sushi bar.

Diner Reviews
  • "The food is fantastic and is worth it, but just note, it's very loud and hard to talk. Great for girls night out, large groups celebrating, not great for a date."

  • "Ambience and decor both lively and mystical. Service superb. Food scrumptious."

  • "Went for Saturday night dinner with a group of 5 and we were rushed and barely saw our waiter. There are definitely better upper end restaurants on the strip."

  • " first of all my travel agent took care of my Vegas trip so she really booked everything for me being that she had been to the restaurant before, she felt I would love it and I did !! it was a wonderful experience for me. So thanks Reach Travel Agency in Baton Rouge Louisiana!! I look forward to going back to the Tao and the Tao club again!!"

  • "Our first bad impression started with the security staff, they are extremely rudes. During the wait for the table, we went to the bar to order a bottle of champagne, we asked the opinion of the oriental attendant, who with extreme bad will not help us. Already at the dinner table, we asked our food and honestly, it was the worst food we ever ate in a restaurant of this level. The tuna dish had to be replaced and returned worse than before. A bad experience, incompatible with the service and the price."

  • "The food was good and service was great! We had a reservation but had to wait about 30 min for a table. However the head hostess comped us drinks at the bar while we waited so we definitely appreciated that!"

  • "Tao is a true Vegas hot spot. It's loud & trendy. Regardless of reservation, get ready to wait an additional 25-45 mins for your table. Despite the wait the food is very good for the type of place that it is. Good idea to share different plates when dining with a group."

  • "From start to finish it was a fantastic "Wedding Anniversary" evening. TJ made the night for us, we let him drive the bus and he handled the evening like a champ. We didn't even look at the menu, TJ did it all for us and we were not disappointed at all (we even took a picture with him). Food was exceptional, full of flavor and character. LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!"

  • "Very good service and food in a very ambient surroundings. Great place for a group and celebrations of occasions. A memorable evening."

  • "We heard the food was great from friends and decided to try it out. The food was very good, but the service was disappointing. As soon as we ordered two diet cokes instead of cocktails or a bottle of wine, we felt ignored. We told the waiter we were trying to make a show and thought that 80 min would have been plenty of time, but I guess it was too much to ask. We also had to ask multiple times for more water or diet Coke. We'll try some place else next time we're in Las Vegas."

  • "The food here, especially the lobster pad thai was fantastic and I would definitely go back to have that dish. For my friend's birthday they brought out an amazing fortune cookie dessert. All around great experience."

  • "Great food! Everything was great. Music was great, a good chilled buddhabar/deep house was on."

  • "If you want a pretty good ambience or free entry to the club later in the evening, Tao is a good choice. For Foodies you may be disappointed. The food is good but certainly not reflective of the price. Quantity is fine, but quality is just ok. Sauces are tasty but nothing special (probably out of a standard can or bottle). For romantic interludes, the Tao is pretty nice. The Giant Buddah, rose pedals, lighting and two story openness are special. Service is attentive and personal. In summary, service and ambience rank 5 stars. Food ranks 3 stars particularly given the premium pricing. Been here 3 times so feel I can adequately represent. I'm not a "clubbie" so probably won't seek for future visits. Cheaper romances!"

  • "beautiful restaurant. excellent food. the appetizers were very good, as were the main course."

  • "The atmosphere was great. The service was average. The music was great. The food was terrible. We had two sushi rolls that were good. My wife had the wasabi filet. It was by far the worst steak she or I have ever tried to eat. There was absolutely no flavor at all. I asked my wife and she said "this steak tastes like popcorn" I tried it and she was right on. I had the orange chicken. It was dry and didn't come with rice just a green looking vegetable. Ordered lobster fried rice separately it was terrible. We were really disappointed in the food. We had been there 5 years ago and I remember food being good. The meal was expensive and not worth the money. I hate to say it but Panda Express orange chicken was a lot better. We will not return."

  • "The food is delicious. It's a must go in Las Vegas!"

  • "I loved the sea bass, however the filets were less than appealing and had no flavor! Sausage fried rice was outstanding. Very over priced for servings, especially appetizers."

  • "Celebrated mom's 70th birthday weekend in Las Vegas & Tao was her choice. Food was fabulous, service and servers were absolutely phenomenal; waiter was attentive to all details. The atmosphere was energetic but laid back and very positive which was big for Vegas - our usual choices for dinner includes more boisterous crowds so it was a great change & we soaked it in. Will definitely go back."

  • "Outstanding food, one of my favorite stops in Vegas. the Chilean Sea Bass is a must have."

  • "I have been to Tao several times. The most recent time was a disappointment. The menu has changed slightly and I feel the food has gone downhill. The service was sub-standard. We never had our drinks refilled or even asked if we wanted another cocktail. They forgot to bring plates once the food was served so we all sat there for 5 minutes trying to get someone's attention so we could eat. I think there are better options in Las Vegas."

  • "Tao was absolutely AMAZING! The food, the service and the atmosphere were incredible! My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary there and couldn't have picked a better place. By far the BEST meal we've EVER had!"

  • "I always make it a point to go to Tao when in Vegas as the food and scene are great. This visit was just ok though. Our server was very nice and attentive at first, but then he got seated a large group and we had to wave him down to get another drink and then for the check. However, my biggest gripe was that the other person in my party ordered Pad Thai and I ordered sushi and my sushi arrived 10 mins after the Pad Thai came. The server kept telling us it was on it's way from another kitchen. They really need to make more of an effort to time the dishes so they come out at the same time. Food was good though."

  • "Loved the decor! Worth visiting. Must have the Chilean sea bass, it was outstanding! Best for larger parties since the food is served family style. It is loud and the service is not great (busy distracted wait staff)."

  • "Even though we had a reservation we had to wait for 30 minutes. The atmosphere and food were very good. The music was great. The staff at the front desk were cold with the customers but the staff indoor were very polite and helpful. When we finished our dinner and dessert, we decided to get to the nightclub. The music was really bad so we stayed for a while."

  • "I had been to Tao in NYC previously, so I knew what to expect: delicious food, yummy cocktails, loud music and a trendy crowd. Tao did not disapppoint. We had the lobster pad thai and jumbo shrimps with peanut sauce, both very good dishes. I can definitely recommend Tao to anyone. When dinner was over, we got to og to the nightclub upstairs without standing in line or having to pay at the door, which was nice."

  • "Sea Bass was amazing! Everything we ordered was delicious our service was flawless."

  • "The most amazing flavourful food. There is nothing simple about it, every single morsel of food is exploding with sinful, sultry, flavour. This is the place to be adventurous and try anything and everything on the menu, the wait staff is there to guide you through every step."

  • "Even though we had reservations we waited half an hour for our table. The food was ok but not better than Benihana sorry to compare u to it. The host was very impersonal and almost rude and dismissive as if I need them and not vice a versa. The atmosphere was great though but I think this place is overrated and wouldnt return or reccomend to a friend the main reason I dont like how I was treated by the hosts. The waiter was great though."

  • "A trip to Tao is always a must when we hit vegas. The food was so good...the lobster wontons and the original spicy tuna rolls are to die for. This is nothing new. The service from Thomas, however...exceptional. He kept an eye on us and was very personable. But the one thing I wanted to mention was how he noticed I wasn't enjoying my drink and took it away and took it off our bill...he didn't have to, but it was very much appreciated."

  • "Tao is a staple restaurant my wife and I visit everytime time we go to Las Vegas. It is actually our favorite restaurant in Vegas and the food and service are outstanding. The attention to detail exceeds some of the more higher end restaurants in town. The ambience is fantastic. It is much more than just a nightclub, it is one of the best restaurants in town."

  • "I've eaten at Tao in NYC and it was great. The Vegas location was an awful experience all around. Rude host, dirty wine glass, an absent waiter, over cooked food, and the giant fortune cookie was stale/unedible. My Pinot noir tasted like dish soap with flat sprite mixed with it. Save your money and eat somewhere else."

  • "We tried the chef's tasting menu - and everything was so good! We had edamame, pork buns, crab cakes, 2 types of sushi, beef, spicy chicken, fish (that was melt-in-your mouth), and noodles! I was so stuffed after eating as much as I possibly could."

  • "You have to watch where they put you, where the Buddha is to your right coming in, at the left there are a number of deuces and they usually line up a table of 20 or so right next to them. Inevitably adds to the noise level of an already noisy restaurant. If you ask to move they sit you by the washroom which is actually quieter"
