I have been to Tantra several times. The food and service have always been outstanding. The dining room, music and design always promote a great experience. This Friday night was quite different. We arrived at 8pm and found the bar and dining room completely empty. The wait staff was great, and as usual, the food was also great. Considering the usual exciting vibe, it was quite a let down to be solo in the entire restaurant. I'm not sure if crowds have moved on? It is a shame if that is the case, as the scallop first course is excellent and worth the trip alone. The sea bass main course was also excellent. I hope our dinner was the exception, as I really enjoy Tantra...just prefer not to eat there alone.

Showed p for dinner expecting the place to be super crowded since it was a saturday but was only and 2 other tables at 11 pm. The late dinner crowd was non existant. The server was awesome. He was extremely friendly and the food and drinks were great. The walnut blue cheese salad and the tuna tataki were great! The bar turned into a spanish night once we finished dinner and people started rolling in. It def got alot livelier after midnight. All in all the experience was great.

I used to love visiting this place every time I would visit South Beach, but Tantra just doesn't seem to have the same glory anymore. The place was empty, and still took quite a while for our food to come out. Granted, the flavors are still magnificent, and the service impeccable.
