  • "The restaurant is a bit pricy and should have been a better experience. Although the restaurant was virtually empty when we arrived we had to wait for service. At best, the waiter was indifferent. The wine list had wines crossed out and the waiter spoke about a single glass or wine. We asked for the single wine glass list. There wasn't one. The petite filets were excellent however. The chef brought out a replacement for one of the guests and he was appreciated."

  • "We were celebrating a birthday and right away, the staff asked about who was having a birthday. They brought out a dessert with a candle at the end of our meal. Had a great evening with friends."

  • "Was disappointed and unfulfilled with the food. Mussel 'special' $10, the sauce was good but skimpy on the quantity mussels and a lot of them had not been debearded. Quail with duck chorizo, mash & spinach $23, would have been better off without the over cooked, dry quail and served as gourmet sausage and mash. Paella $24, so many bad things; too small, the chicken and shrimp wre tough & dry. Chorizo was listed as an item but it was missing, the over all flavor was just blar. My husband is too polite to send it back, but if I received that dish I would have. Cocktail was yummy, but $11. All in all, after tax & tip $85 could have been spent at many other, cheaper places and had far better food, we'll never go back there, or recommend it."

  • "Was a favorite for us but we learned we need to read current Open Table reviews before going back to a “favorite” place. We knew we were in trouble when the hostess was texting when we arrived and just had to finish her text before acknowledging our party. The first wine list had no red wine listed. The waiter brought another list. Everything was WAY overpriced so when asked about that, he said they had a Mark West Pinot for $35.00. Very limited beer selection. Pork belly was on the menu but, they were out of pork belly. Quail was on the menu but they were out of quail. The Caesar salad arrived without the spicy polenta croutons. When asked if they had a new chef, the waiter admitted that the sous chef was doing all the cooking. Bad."

  • "The lobster mac and cheese had absolutely no lobster or even lobster flavor and contained cooked green peppers rather than green chilis in it. It was served in a tiny oval ramekin and on a plate that was so small the ramekin did not sit flat. The green salad was tasteless... I think they forgot the dressing... although nicely presented on the plate. Thr palenta dish was delicious, but the serving also very small. My dining companion left still hungry. I would not return, nor would I recommend this restaurant. It was a huge disappointment. Oh, and Sat. night of 4th July weekend at 8PM there were maybe 5-6 tables occupied, so perhaps I am not the only one having had a poor experience."

  • "The food was delicious, although the menu didn't offer as much variety as we would have liked. Drink prices were a shock. Almost $50 for 4 margaritas. But there are lots of interesting places to sit, inside or out, and the service was friendly and fun. We'd like to go back at night and enjoy the patio."

  • "Service was spotty. It was "difficult" to get seated and getting water and a 1st drink. 2nd drink never showed up. Would not order the small plates ever again but would stick with the entree. Our entrees were very good. Their outdoor space at 10,000 square feet is too large for the staff to handle in my opinion."

  • "This is a very nice restaurant that features patio seating on two levels, with interesting decor, or indoor seating which would be nice for a family, friends, or romantic dinner. Food and drinks were very good. Our waiter was a little bit indifferent and moody, even after we tried being friendly - maybe having a bad day. Would still return there, as we enjoyed our meal."

  • "First impressions are impprtant and I must say, before we got our food, the impression wasn't great. We were given a menu that was not updated and several options I was interested in, were not available. Server apologized that two of the menus were incorrect. We were offered bread for the table; we never got it. The petite sirloin was ordered medium well; it came out well done. The lobster, green chili Mac and cheese was more cream than cheesy, the chicken picatta was WAY too salt. It had too many capers. The only thing that was decent was the chocolate cake, but had to be sent back to be remade because it had mango drizzle on it, which I'm allergic too. Server said they ran out of the raspberry and decided to substitute w/o asking."

  • "Again, we love restaurants that offer Tapas (small plates) in addition to a full menu. We really enjoyed their Caesar Salad, Paella and Red Chile Grilled Portobello Mushroom with grilled romaine. I was disappointed that they didn't have any of their regular menu item short rib raviloi. How can something that is 'housemade' not be available? It was a very pleasant dining experience with an attentive waitress."

  • "My wife had the special that night which was the crab encrusted rock fish. Her's dish was very good and nice use of mixture of flavors. I had a pork tenderloin dish and the meat lacked flavor for me. I allowed my wife a taste and she agreed. The mashed sweet potatoes and Brussel Sprouts were good. We both felt that perhaps there could have been a few more spices added to the pork. Again, this is a personal preference as my wife is an excellent cook and has a good knowledge of spices etc. We had great drinks. the "221" is an excellent drink. We both recommend it highly."

  • "I want to give this restaurant 5 stars, I really do. The location and service are good. It has great ambience. BUT ... We arrived at 7:00. Only one other table was full. Our waiter arrived and began the litany of what WASN'T available that evening. That was about one quarter of the printed menu. When a restaurant is out of simple basics on a slow night, that's poor kitchen management. How can you run out of soup? I could walk into any kitchen and toss together a palatable soup in an hour. How can you advertise a dessert containing three different flavors of sorbet and only have two flavors available? Sorbet is dead easy to make. Who ever is managing that kitchen needs to wake up."

  • "Tanti Luce 221 is where my husband and I go when we want to treat ourselves and celebrate special occasions. The 221 margarita is, by far, our favorite drink on the menu (and, yes we are margarita snobs), but that is not to say there aren't other fabulous beverages to be had. There is something special for each type of cocktail drinker and the wine list is fantastic. We always get a new appetizer every time we go and we have not been disappointed. Likewise with the entrees. The fillet melts in your mouth, the polenta is incredible, and the catch of the day, whatever that happens to be, is always prepared perfectly. I can't wait to try something new next time. The service is always wonderful and the atmosphere is elegant and romantic."

I was very disappointed with the lack of entree options and the fact we were not told of items they were out of when we first sat down, especially considering the cost of entrees"

  • "Fritto misto very good. I am sure there are some who like a paella drowned in cumin as opposed to saffron, I was not one of them. Put next to an obviously smoking internal fireplace (nice and warm) but we had to tell the wait person to do something about it (simple fix). STALE tasteless bread (attention to little things missing here). They had a large party and were obviously having difficulty handling the group and everyone else."

It is Restaurant Week and we were the only ones in the dining room. The food was excellent and service was very good but being the only ones in the restaurant was, seemingly, too quiet. Leaves a lot of questions with us."

  • "Nice place just off the beaten path. The buffalo short ribs were quite good, the meat just fell off the bones as it should and the truffle mashed potatoes were superb. My wife had the linguini with clams and they were still in the shells so not from a can - she said it was really good too. We just shared the sorbet sampler after and it also was great for a light dessert. The portions served were just right - not overly large like at some places but enough that we did not leave feeling hungry still. Will probably return here sometime as we did enjoy it very much."

  • "My husband brought me here for Valentines Day and it was wonderful! He had ordered flowers delivered to the table and they were there when we arrived. The atmosphere was romantic with a table by the fireplace and just right lighting. The service was great and the food and wine even better. He had the catch of the day and I had the quail with duck cilantro sausage and we loved them both and kept sampling the other's. Desert was decadent chocolate cake with melty middle. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening and the prices weren't so high so that we feel we could frequent it other than special occasions. Definately recommend this restaurant!"
