The food at Tango paid great tribute to the foods I eat in Spain, but it is not slavishly tied to reproducing that cuisine. The wine list included two wines from the Basque region that are difficult to find in the states (txacholi grape from getaria). I just wish they included a mencia grape based wine from Galicia to round out the list. The service was excellent. From the Queso Fundido, to the fantastic desserts, the meal is certain to place a smile on everyone's face. The staff is thoughtful and engaging, and the setting perfect for enjoying a truly fantastic meal and conversation - you can actually hear people speak!
The portions are generous and the options have breadth; the offerings will please both vegetarian and carnivorous attendees. Even trying tapas I otherwise may not, I have never been disappointed. Each dish provides something special - I would recommend all with confidence.
