Great service, lunch menu and
great for business lunch when you only have an hour"
Dined on 3/12/2014
They were attentive and happy to
find us a large booth to discuss business in. Food was prompt and very good. The easy "pick 3 items " lunch menu allowed us to try new items from the menu and it was satisfying without being too much."
Dined on 3/12/2014
Only thing I would say is the menu
is a little small, other than that was good."

Last week I suggested that you get
more vegetarian options, and that vegetarians were tired of having salads and fries....but this week I tried your fries for the first time. OH MY! they were delicious. Big grates of Parmesan cheese and they were served with that garlic aioli....very very tasty. Nice work. :) I've been pleased with all the dishes that I've tried there. I especially love the decor of the restaurant. The unique display of bottles at the entry is unexpected and I find it exciting."

I recommended the Tango Bistro to
our small group of 4 and we had a great time. The service was excellant- friendly and attentive! The food was awesome... we loved the bacon wrapped beef tenderloin and the lamb chops. We will be coming back and bring more friends!! Nice little gem in the city!"
Dined on 3/9/2014
Had an amazing time here and will
be coming back to try out the menu again. Recommend this place for an romantic date place (just ask for a quite spot and it is worth it)"
Dined on 2/8/2014
I've eaten here several times and
have never been disappointed. I have brought friends and clients here and introduced several to the beet fries - fantastic!"
Dined on 3/5/2014
The food was really tasty and for
a reasonable price there was way more than we could eat. We had a regular server and one in training, both were lovely and were as attentive as they needed to be. A really nice experience overall!"

We had the PEAR AND GORGONZOLA
FLATBREAD and couldn't rave more about how wonderful it was. The other two dishes that we tried were your BRUSSELS SPROUTS BON FEMME (without the lardons) and the BRAISED PEAR AND BLACKBERRY SALAD. The brussels sprouts was a really good dish, but the portion felt small to me. I'd order it again though. The salad is an item that i would not ever order again. I've been going to Tango since they opened the doors. The salad that they used to offer had a very flavorful pineapple salsa served with it and some sweet potato sticks served on top. Everything about that salad seemed special. This new salad they're offering seems blah to me. The blackberries were mushy and flavorless, and the arugula was wilted."

Tango Bistro has a fabulous offer
for lunch -- $16 that includes a soup or appetizer, main entree with an accompaniment. And it's the perfect size! Try the wild mushroom soup -- it's fantastic! You'll want to order more to take home!"

Third time back in the last 6
months. We enjoy the food, appreciate the low corkage charge and like the service."
Dined on 2/22/2014
This wasn't my first time at Tango
Bistro. I've been before on date nights, but this was my first time I had hosted a lunch meeting. I had 5 guests and we choose the tapas style lunch. I thought that the atmosphere was perfect for this type of business lunch. The food was great and it allowed us to sample several dishes (5-6 ). Can't wait to go back. Great alternative to driving downtown."
Dined on 2/19/2014
Everything is appetizer sized
portions, so it's so great for sharing. I went in a group of 6 people, we each ordered about 2 things each off the menu and shared everything. Dishes come out as they are ready from the kitchen a few at a time so it was great to be able to just have a few bites and sit and chat in between. All of the food was delicious! It was also a great way to try new things. Over all I would recommend this place to a good group of friends or family just going out for a casual night of drinks and conversation."

We decided to try Tango for our
anniversary and we were very impressed. The menu had an excellent selection spanning all of the usual tapas categories and everything we tried was great. We chose the wonton wrapped prawns, the chicken and bacon flatbread and the cheese fondue. Of all three we liked the fondue the best (but the other two dishes were also awesome). For a dessert we also tried the dark chocolate fondue which was a special at the time and it too was exceptional. Great place for a romantic evening or a night out with a big group of friends. We will definitely be back."
Dined on 2/15/2014
First time here and loved it. The
server was fantastic and the food was amazing except for the wings, wasn't a fan of them but the yams, the egg rolls and the Flatbread were awesome."
Dined on 2/14/2014
We recently visited Tango and
loved every part of it. The food was amazing, the service is excellent and the ambience was perfect. We definitely will be visiting again soon."
Dined on 2/13/2014
My friend and I wanted a nice
place to go for lunch, that wasn't too expensive. The waitress was friendly and responsive. The food was quick and delicious, and extremely filling. I will definitely be coming back for the lunch menu."
Dined on 2/12/2014
Tango has a wonderful business
lunch, 3 courses for $16 and it is really good food, nice selection. They have really tasty desserts and so inexpensive. Sometimes I find the service a bit slow, I have never been able to get in and out in less than an hour, but I wonder if that's just because they think we're deep in a business meeting and don't want to interrupt? It's not painfully slow, just not speedy quick."
Dined on 2/11/2014
It's nice to see when a tapas
restaurant offers a three-course meal over the lunch hour under a time guarantee; it's a good spot for a quick bite to eat."
Dined on 2/10/2014
My favourite restaurant in town,
by far. Menu choices change from time to time, but the best items stay. It's tapas style and it makes dining a great collaborative event. I try to bring as many different friends here as possible so we can try everything. SO many unique tastes and combinations that end up pleasing the palate every time. I love going here after the theatre for a late night treat. I also appreciate that they accommodate my gluten sensitivity. The frequent diner rewards program for the Smuggler's Group of restaurants rewards me for my visits. The service is consistent and helpful. Good wine choices and specialty coffees."
Dined on 2/7/2014
We have visited Tango from its
inception; cosy spots in lots of places for private meetings and open spots a group. Especially like the fact they do not overcrowd their seating. Nice wine list and delicious creative tapas style menu. Have enjoyed the food and service every time, so despite the fact the delicious soup and crab cakes were on the cold side (8:00 pm on a -25 night in Calgary!) we will be back."
Dined on 2/4/2014
We arrived a little bit early and
asked if they could accommodate a couple of extra people to our party the manager made it work for us. Food was fantastic! The drinks service was the only downfall it was a little bit slow on that front. Several of us had empty glasses at one time or another during our meal. Overall very satisfied :)"

After enjoying a nice selection of
items from their tapas menu, my girl friend and I were pleasantly surprised to see that they offer table side smokes; what a treat to end a great lunch!"
Dined on 12/6/2013
We had a table for 10 and our area
was quite with lots of room. The food was all excellent and well presented. I appreciated the use of local suppliers for the menu as well. Great service, felt able to linger over our food and enjoyed a great evening with family and friends."
Dined on 1/26/2014
Small plate menu for sharing.
Interesting flavors. Good value."
Dined on 1/25/2014
food was great and enjoyed it with
my friend, was not impressed with our waitress, had to ask for service at least 5 times during our stay!"
Dined on 1/17/2014
Had a great time, the food was so
good. I loved the table-side s'more idea, it was so fun. Only down side is there was limited parking so I would suggest to get there early."
Dined on 1/22/2014
My wife and I have gone here a few
times and it is one of our favorite spots. We save it for special occasions and every time the food is delicious and the service is excellent. Strongly recommend. The scallops on parsnip are a personal favorite."

Another great lunch at Tango! food
is always consistently good and well presented and the service super."

Prompt and friendly service.
Excellent food. Our favourite were tenderloin, lobster rolls, yam fries. Not sure why some of the negative reviews. We been to many restaurants in Calgary and we would turn."

Terrific food, great
atmosphere...........love it!!! Will always be back for more!!! Great place for just a romantic night or a group night with awesome friends!!!"

We were not sure what to expect
but were very happy with the food, ambience and service. We will come back."
Dined on 12/30/2013
Great place for a birthday dinner
with friends. I had a great experience and will definetely return. The food was a very tasty, definetly not boring. I liked the small dishes, it was fun to try a variety of things; beet fries, oxtail poutine & crab cakes all great. The food was very flavorful, the dishes were fairly priced for what you were given & the way they are presented. The wait staff was friendly and at the table often."
Dined on 1/4/2014
We enjoyed a New Years Eve special
menu with amazing, tasty food, great service and having the seating the way we requested. Everything was perfect for our family. We definitely will be back soon!"
Dined on 12/31/2013
We brought our 6 month old
daughter for an early dinner and had a wonderful time. The set menu had a great variety (I am vegetarian and there were things for me). Aside from the appetizer and main course servers came around with hor d'oeuvres size portions of other dishes throughout the meal. My husband loved the duck flatbread and bacon wrapped beef. My all time favorited is the pear and Gorgonzola flatbread. I only wish that they came around more often. My husband commented on the duck and the manager gave him some extra to go at the end. We had a very good time."
Dined on 12/31/2013
The food and atmosphere was great.
The only issue we had was our server was quite soft spoken and difficult to hear. Other than that, I would definitely recommend Tango."
Dined on 12/31/2013
The lunch menu is always a great
way to kick off the day, which its unique three part set meal style. At $18, you get a starter (often soup or salad) accompanied with a main meal dish and a side. I got the cream of mushroom soup with arugula, with the lamb donair and side salad for the main. As much as the soup was good, the donair fell off, a tad dry and desperately lacking moisture or more tatziki sauce. The braised pear salad was simple, but could have used more dressing for an extra kick. My fellow diner got the pasta and side frites with garlic aioli. What is always disappointing is when the side taste better than the main, and in this case, the pasta was too acidic for her taste. All in all, it was a solid meal, with small hitches."
Dined on 12/31/2013
I've dined at Tango on a number of
occasions and it is always a great experience. The variety and caliber of the food is unprecedented for the price point and the service is among the best in the city. I highly recommend Tango Bistro."
Dined on 12/29/2013
Came here before with a group of
friends and really enjoyed it, so I had to come back with my husband for his birthday. Again we enjoyed the meal. I highly recommend this place for tapas."
Dined on 12/29/2013
