The food was just ok. I couldn't eat all of my meal so I asked them to wrap it to go and the waitress put the dirty plates on top of my food. When I brought it to her attention she removed the plate then preceeded to wrap up the food and give it to me. Really?? I was eating my dessert and a gnat landed on top. Just wasn't a good night!

We felt the food was aromatic and plated well. However, the taste was mediocre. It was just enough seasonong so it wasn't bland but pleasant. We had the rock shrimp and calamari for apps, flank steak salad and seafood over rice( that looked a little congealed) and bread pudding and upside down pinapple cake (heavy and dense and bland). However, as this as restaurant week, I was glad we didnt pay full price. The experince allowed us try a different cuisine, but we wont be back. And later at home, our bodies were in agreement of our assessment, as we had to use the restroom.

I have eaten at Tango only a few times, and each time has been a pleasant experience. We dined with another couple this past Saturday night and had an excellent dinner at a nice table in a quiet area. Three of the four of us had the trout which was excellent. I think the food is a cut above other local eateries in the area and worth the few extra dollars.

Birthday Dinner, fun concept for environment, Noisy, Service lacking. Long wait dispite reservation. Then long wait @ table w/Server visible setting up group table. Bar drinks served after salad w/main course. Support service brought served us another table's order, did not check on us during the meal. Most of the ood adequately prepared. Entrees blacked swordfish & scallops w/ risotto/asparagus. Salads generous servings, lettuce for the harvest salad had a few bits past prime. Swordfish well prepared, served w/ snow peas. Scallops well prepared but swimming in mediocre tomato sauce served w/undercooked risotto w/very few asparagus bits. Dessert cheesecake & key lime pie, served out of the box. Suburban fare, not inspired to return.

This old baggage holding building that used to be a part of BrynMawr station is a great, quaint neighborhood spot. We just moved to the area and were looking for something solid. After reading reviews, we settled on Tango and were pleasantly surprised. Ahi and calamari apps were cooked perfectly and well presented, though I preferred a bit of salt added. Jumbalaya was above average and a huge portion, short rib special was another huge portion that required a doggie bag. Wanted to sit by a trackside window to watch the trains. All but one of the windows is small -(a function of the converted railcar - Will definitely be back

Tango's menu has a broad range...everything from tacos to jambalaya to steaks, lamb chops and crabcakes. Calamari appetizer , Jambalaya and lamb were all very good...wine service was a little odd. It took 3 tries to get what we asked for. Fortunately we are easy-going and our waitress was very sweet so it was an enjoyable evenning.

Our table by the Main Line tracks took me right back 40 years to trips on the Broadway Limited, and dinner in their upscale dining cars. Excellent service combines with an interesting menu at reasonable prices. I had the duck and my lady had the jambalaya, both very well prepared. I can't speak to the wine list because I enjoyed a selection from the craft brews on tap. The only demerit was the cappuccino, which presents well in its funnel-shaped glass, but is really awkward to drink. Otherwise an outstanding evening out.

Well, it is cute that the train is going by. Our server was a sweet guy and we loved our neighbors! Sweet ladies in their 80's with a lot of character! :-) But, the favorite was the crab rolls… and the salad with apricots was just OK… it could have used something. I wished they weren't sulfur preserved. We had the scallops and they were in this sauce they we agreed, ruined the scallops! It was too sweet for a curry or a tomato base… it missed something. The rice was mushy and dull. Chef needs some love. <3

At Tango I especially like sitting where I can look out at the trains, and feel as if I am eating in a dining car. There are also tables that accommodate large parties (10-12) especially well. The food is good: varied menu, several favorite dishes (I esp. like the fish tacos and the wild mushroom ravioli). Drinks never disappoint, and although I never come just to drink at the bar it looks as if folks who do are having a good time. Noise level is a real plus: in no part of the restaurant is it loud, even when it's pretty full.

For whatever reason, servIce was agonizingly s-l-o-w, unlike other visits. The kitchen couldn't even get an order for a medium rare NY strip steak correctly prepared (overdone). The steak was taken back and another one was served that still wasn't cooked to order. The manager apologized and deducted the cost of the steak which was expected. It took a terribly long time to bring dessert to the table, once ordered. I think this was our fourth or fifth visit and all previous visits were what you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. But this visit showed little semblance to the other occasions - new management? short-staffed? I don't know but I wouldn't want to make a future reservation without checking other diner's comments.

Food = good. Service = great. Atmosphere = awkward. There was a new manager speaking to a server for a good 15 minutes without breaking to turn around and realize we were standing at the host stand for a solid 3 minutes and kept talking after we were seated. (Was no hostess until Another server told the girl in kitchen we were there) Other servers speaking loud enough to hear conversations at the server station right outside kitchen door. Also one very drunk man who was trying to get new manager to do him a favor to give his # to one of the female employees. Conversation went on too long & very strange to watch. Overall we spent more time listening to others conversations than having our own as they were so distracting.

Nice restaurant right next to Bryn Mawr train station. We made a res via opentable on Wed for party of 4 for Friday. I asked to be seated outside (called the Cantina) on the form. We called at 4 to say we would be a party of 5. When we arrived we were given the option to sit inside in a booth or on the outside (front door side) facing the parking lot. Cantina was full. We chose indoors. It was very nice. My friends were pleased with the choice. I had one of the specials: pork tenderloin piccata with gnocchi. Very good. Two of my friends split the Brie salad. I tasted the almond encrusted Brie- delish. Other got crab cake-excellent. Consho Brewing saison on tap. Nice bar up front where we stayed for a drink. Great bartender.

Tango is one of my absolute favorites on the Mainline. It is affordable, fine dining, and a local gem! The food is always prepared fresh with fresh seasonal ingredients. I usually get the same thing everytime, because the Mushroom Ravioli is just so darn good, but my husband is a junky for their specials that change constantly. Never once have I had a poor experience. Top notch customer service, which I appreciate more than anything this day and age.

We had never been to this place before and thought it had closed. But, found out it was open and gave it a shot. Mistake. Food is fair (and I think that is generous). Waitress messed up my entree and said that I must have misunderstood her or misspoke. How about, "let me get you what you wanted." (She was great otherwise but I thought that was a big misstep.) I could handle the first two problems. But, when I compare the overall experience with the price on the menu, there's a big disconnect. This place is WAY, WAY overpriced given the experience. Holy cow. I don't know if the experience used to merit this type of price point or if they have raised prices but not the experience. Either way, it does not work.
