  • "We visited Tangierino while on vacation and loved it. They offer traditional Moroccan cuisine along with modern fusion of several styles. Tangierino has wonderful small plates and appetizers with unique flavors and combinations. We had ground lamb in pastry, and a chicken dish to start. We selected the Short Ribs as the entree, and we're extremely pleased. Even though we split the entree, it was a LOT of food, so bring your appetite or several guests. The atmosphere is unique. Tables are shrouded in sheer curtains, and each setting has different furniture - delightful! Tangierino has an extensive wine list with excellent selections from around the globe. Mark-ups are reasonable, and bargains abound. Check them out soon!"

  • "The b'stilla was epic, as was the beef tenderloin. We got there at 6 pm so it was still a little early for a friday night but we prefer the quiet atmosphere and extra attention from the waiters. Anyone who goes should definitely try the sangria. We also went down to Koullshi lounge and had the hookah. So good. Definitely going there again."

  • "Quiet, romantic, scene. Wait staff handles everything. New and old world menu both bustling with aromatic and vibrant flavors. A pleasing experience from start to finish. I miss how the bus boys used to wash your hands in rose water."

  • "Food was inventive and delicious! Eggplant; scallops, lamb especially. Love the figs and apricots! Yum"

  • "The night was overall a good night. The server was not very attentive and the food and the drinks took along time. Once our food came to the table every thing was good. I would go back but I hope the service will be better. "

  • "We really enjoyed our evening at Tangierino - the food was very good and service was very efficient. Because we gave a small tip to the belly dancer, she stayed at our table a bit longer than most. We had a very good time."

  • "One of the best interiors I have seen in all of Boston. You really feel transported to Morocco when you are seated in your private booth nicely decorated with authentic feeling tapestries. The Menu was nicely divided between "old world" and "new world" entrees. I dined with a person from Morocco and she was thrilled with the authentic presentation of the old world entrees. Great spot for a date, very romantic atmosphere."

  • "My wife and I went to Tangierino for our Anniversary. Being that our first trip together was a month in Morocco, I figured we'd try and relive some of those memories. I must admit, I was a bit nervous though. We've been to a couple "Moroccan" restaurants (one of which was ranked as an "authentic experience" by Zagat's) and none of them have ever really done it right. They tend to be too kitschy or just...well, not even close. That said, we were wowed by Tangierino the moment we walked in. It actually reminded us of a certain cafe we frequented while in Fez. On top of the spot on atmosphere, the offerings are well endowed. From traditional to French/Spanish influence, the food holds strong with the environment. Great spot! "

  • "online menu is no longer available. entree is tasteless and pricy. music was loud. if you still want to go, pay attention to final bill: 18% tip was added to bill for party of 3 without mentioning it, and we were asked for gratuity again later on credit card billing."

  • "This is a lovely restaurant. The ambiance is very cool, unique and Arabic/North African. Belly dancers sometimes get a bit too close for comfort, especially while trying to have a romantic date with my husband. . We've been here twice. The first time, the food was delectable. Second time, quite bland. Guess it depends what you order. But overall, it's a lovely time and great service. "

  • "I loved the exotic decor and atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the seating was languidly comfortable; you could relax back into the pillows and enjoy the belly dancing. It was like traveling."

  • "Tangierino was recommended to us by a friend who knew we liked Moroccan food. We were not disappointed! We had a couple of the signature cocktails, a mango margarita and a spicy one with veggie-infused vodka served with blue cheese stuffed olives. They went deliciously well with the scallops starter. The menu is divided into traditional (old world) and modern (new world) dishes which gives you great options. For main courses, we got the old world style salmon tagine and the new world eggplant. We also shared a side dish of wild mushrooms. Dessert for us was tiramisu in honor of it being our wedding anniversary, as that was our wedding cake. It was light, but filling, and served with fresh whipped cream. We will definitely return!"

  • "First time at Tangierino but won't be my last! The food was fantastic - the blending of the spices, the yummy flavors - one dish better than the last -- I only wish I had the skills to recreate some of these dishes at home. Loved the feeling of the place - the staff were freindly and helpful... the belly dancer a teriffic addition to the birthday celebration. Just loved everything and can't wait to come back. "

  • "There was a fire in an upstairs apartment and we had to be evacuated. We stood in the cold for ten minutes. When we went back in we assumed we would get offered complimentary desert or maybe have something taken off of our bill. Neither happened. We went down to the hookah lounge and Phanny was our server. She was super friendly, fast, explained how everything worked. She was the saving grace of the evening. My friends and I agreed that we would return because of Phanny."

  • "Everything was good Except the service, we was waiting for the food over an hour. Also when we came into the restaurant there was a guy he was unfriendly at all. He tried to get rid of us We had a reservation at 9 for 2 people, but we came early so he told us we have to wait for 20-25 min we agreed then after 30 min he asked us "what are u waiting for?" with a frown face this was so irritating... I ignored him and talked to the girl who was standing next to him.. I told her everything.. Then the girl came and told us that our table would be ready in 5 min..."

  • "My first time at Tangierino and I was very pleased with the food and the service.. The only issue was the table and chair size.. For a regular sized guy, I couldn't really fit my legs under the table to slide my chair in.. I will definitely be back for the food though, just might have to sit at the bar."

  • "disappointed that they only had restaurant week menu ... i was expecting full menu options - mostly because i don't care for 3 courses"

  • "We had not visited the restaurant in a few years and found the new menu somewhat limited and three out of four of our meals were poor in quality and preparation. I had lamb chops which were the texture of rubber balls and over cooked. The room was noisy and it took a long time to get appetizers. We took friends as a gift and we were embarrassed by the evening."

  • "Maitre'D paid extra attention to Open Table request for seating and ambiance that made for a great evening of catching up with family and friends. Wait staff was exceptional did not hover but appeared and disappeared at just at the right times. Overall great experience."

  • "Food was great ! Atmosphere nice but very noisy. Belly Dancer disappointing since I was bringing my yoga teacher there who belly dancers, since I wanted to say Thank you to her I wanted to bring her somewhere fun. It was OK in my opinion......"

  • "The decor in this restaurant is amazing. We first ordered drinks that were just amazing. I'd go back just for drinks alone based on those! We ordered some "extras" off menu that were a delicious start to what turned out to be a pretty fantastic, well spiced, variety filled series of food. We had a lactose-intolerant child with us and the waiter very quickly said he'd take care of him for dessert as both options were loaded with milk products. He additionally recalled the lactose intolerance on his own and left cheese off the salad! We had one meal issue where the fish was over cooked, they recooked it but it was still not right. The manager came out and righted it for us and we assured him we'd definitely be back!"

  • "I was in town looking for someplace different to join some colleagues for dinner and drink. This place was definitely different but the food was excellent and the service very good once you get past the Host / Hostess stand. The only drawback was they advertised belly dancing at 7 pm. We asked several times and did not receive an answer before departing at 7:30. No worries though, if you enjoy an after dinner smoke, you can adjourn to the bar downstairs and have a cigar or hookah. Very lively place. I will definitely return when I’m back in town."

  • "Tangierino is by far one of my favorite restaurants. Walking through the doors you are lead through a series of twist and turns of tables and walls adorned with vibrant colors and fabrics, reminiscent of a Moroccan bazaar. Once seated, we truly feel transported under the canopied table as Moroccan music plays in the background. As the menus were handed to each of us, we quickly noticed a variety of new world and old world dishes. I immediately gravitated towards old world and ordered the lamb couscous, an amazing concoction of gastronomic flavors, texture and aromas."

  • "No really, it's like your tastebuds just arrived at some exotic destination unlike anywhere they've been to before! Well, maybe all of your senses. When you first walk in, the smokeyness from the hooka lounge downstairs greets you and it's not great if you don't like the smell of smoke (like me), but don't let this discourage you. Two more steps and you're int a beautifully decorated room with diaphanous curtains draped around tables and couches. A moroccan chandelier glows from the ceiling and once you are seated, your eyes dart from one enticing dish to the next on the menu. You don't even have to worry about potentially choosing "the wrong dish" here as long as you enjoy flavorful food. Every dish I ordered was amazing!"

  • "My friends and I always go here during Restaurant Week. The food is excellent but can be a bit pricey on a regular night. Definitely a spot for a special occasion. Depending on where you are seated, it can be very romantic."

  • "I took my girlfriend here on Valentines day, it was fun, but we weren't seated until 30 mins after our reservation. We were also required to order our app, entree and desert all at once. The food was good, the service was good, maybe it was the night we went."

  • "Great look and feel to the restaurant. Kept feeling rushed out toward the end of our meal, when three different staff came over within 2 minutes to ask if they could clear our plates (after we told the first two "no", we assumed we'd be left alone for at least five minutes to finish our meal and drinks). Food and drinks were very good, and the bar downstairs was a fun end to the night. We'll be going back soon!"

  • "The restaurant never seated our party after we waited 1h 15m. We arrived promptly at our 8pm reservation time and were told that they didn't have a table available, but they had handed out checks at several tables. We would just need to wait at the bar. 30 minutes passed so we checked in with the hostess. Sorry, nothing available but it would be only a few more minutes. Nothing again at 8:45, 9pm, and 9:15 pm. Two other parties were waiting for over 45 minutes and were just as frustrated as we were. 1. They wouldn't give us a reasonable estimate of how long it would take to get seated 2. No manager ever came over to talk to us or apologize for the wait 3. Expected a comp'ed drink or app while we were waiting at the bar. Didn't happen."
