  • "My wife is a vegetarian (not vegan though), so I cater to that often. This is the third time we've been there, and everything we've had has been very tasty. This is the second time in a row that I got the Kale/Quinoa dish. I never though I'd like Kale, but it is a very tasty dish, especially when it is all mixed up. I have never missed meat each time we've gone. For a healthy alternative, I recommend to any foodie."

  • "I'd seen reviews and expected awesome flavors, but big surprise was the imaginative, eclectic original flavors and plating of this delicious vegan food. True, it leans to Mexican influence (which I like), but it was definitely beyond any specific culture or region for the overall sensual experience. The Enchilada was incredible. Mole atop and flavors inside divine! The hikama/spinach/coconut "bacon" salad was an exceptional. The guacamole… YUM! Something a little more special than just lime or lemon. Couldn't figure it out. Delicious. The staff were warm & friendly from the moment I walked in and infinitely patient with the laggers who eventually filled our table of 5. Cool drinks, both alcohol and non-alcohol. A cheesecake to die for."

  • "This is the 2nd time I have been to Tamazul since they moved to a 100% plant-based menu (vegan). My wife is a vegetarian (vegetarian can eat vegan but vegan can't eat all vegetarian), so she enjoys a menu where she can get anything on the menu. Myself, and self-described super-carnivore, can find very tasty and filling dishes as well. This time I got the Quinoa/Kale dish (trying to impress the wife w/ healthy eating) and I must say it was close to outstanding. Once I moved up the dish with the sauces o. The bottom, I really enjoyed the dish. We shared the Napa Slaw (with cocoa nibs!) as an salad to go with our meal. They do have vegan wine, but I haven't been impressed with what I've had so far in terms of wine. But we enjoyed our time."

  • "I just recently moved back from San Diego, Ca to Oklahoma and was missing my vegan/vegetarian restaurants. I came across the gem, the food is amazing and the staff is very friendly. It is in the Classen Curve so it is a very nice location and the ambiance is very well done. Not all vegan food is created equal and I have had my share, the Chef did a great job with the textures and flavors. I was also very surprised that it was not overly expensive, as I am used to paying around $60 for a meal at a place like this and with a appetizer and 2 entrees it was under $40. Even if you are not vegan or vegetarian I think you will enjoy the experience here."

  • "Vegans: You may be taken aback by the opportunity to order ANYTHING on the menu. You'll love this entirely vegan restaurant. Meat Eaters: Don't be scared of trying Tamazul. I'm not even a vegetarian, but I LOVED their burritos and nachos. Price: One appetizer, two drinks, two entrees, and one dessert added up to $80 plus the tip. It's definitely not a place I could afford to eat very often; it's fantastic for special occasions, though. Portion Size: "Healthy", so be prepared to rack up a bill. Food Choices: I can highly recommend their Queso Fundito, Black Bean Nachos, and their Margaritas. They're all better than most other Mexican places. The burritos might strike meat-eaters as a little unusual, but they're still great!"

  • "I challenge anyone who thinks vegan and raw-plant cuisine cannot take on Mexican cuisine to give this fantastic restaurant a try. When seasonal vegetables are cooked with this much care and with such fantastic seasonings and spices, meat is never missed. The dishes not only satisfy gastronomically, the beautiful presentation of the dishes satisfies aesthetically as well. Chef Chris Rayman and the team at Tamazul sincerely cares about educating OKC about the benefits of healthy eating."

  • "We were on a last minute schedule and found that Tamazul still had some reservations left open for a Friday night Valentine's dinner. When we arrived, we came in the "wrong door" but were quickly greeted and told we needed to go over to the host stand. There, they told us that they didn't have a reservation for my boyfriend and I under our name, although they had called me the day before to confirm that we would be there. It wasn't a huge issue though as we were seated in a nice booth anyway, just not the way you wanted to be greeted, especially on a holiday. Our server was good, the food was shockingly good, for only being plant-based (we like a good steak or fillet usually) and I would recommend anyone to Tamazul."

  • "I'd heard good thing about Tamazul and couldn't wait to try it. My meat-loving husband was not as excited, although this is not your mother's plant-based restaurant... The food is creative, flavorful and portioned generously. We loved it and will definitely be back. He ordered the tacos and I had had the brunch burrito. Both fantastic. We started with the spicy green juice (YUM) and jicama rolls, and I couldn't resist the avocado chocolate pudding. Tamazul is an excellent addition to Classen Curve and OKC."

  • "My wife is a vegetarian, so this would be a place where she could choose anything on the menu. Our server was spectacular; she knew everything about the menu and was extremely pleasant and helpful. I am not a fan of how the restaurant is laid out - we were seated at a small round table right in front of the kitchen and felt "in the way" the entire night. My back was to the kitchen and it was anything but romantic. But we will go back since we both enjoyed the food, it just won't be for romance."

  • "This place has very good food. We aren't vegans or even vegetarians, but we do like tasty and this place has it. I enjoyed a Valentine's day special chile relleno on a bed of sweet potato puree and quinoa with subtle spices. Delicious. My husband tried the burrito and I had a bite. Very good and satisfying. We had a Valentine Day special on the appetizer - mango crudo. Excellent. And for dessert - the brownie with a chile bite that was just right. I tried the blood orange margarita. Nice. A bit pricey but well worth it."

  • "We went on Valentine's Day. The restaurant wasn't packed, mostly because they only took reservations so they could control the flow of customers. The food was excellent. The house cab was NOT good. Service was impeccable but it took probably 45 minutes for our food to come out after the appetizer. That was a little excessive. It was a little overpriced for the type of food but alcohol is what really drove up our bill. However, even without the booze it would have been too expensive for what you got."

  • "Boy did Oklahoma City need a place like this. From their enchiladas with sweet potato, to their tacos, to their guacamole, to their cheesecake... It was absolutely delicious. The best part? EVERYthing is guilt free! It's vegan (although you wouldn't really know it, because it more than satisfies your taste buds!). The manager of the restaurant answered tons of questions about how much of their food is soaked and prepared so that it is healthy for your body. For instance, their sour cream is made from soaked cashews, and probably something else creative. Their cheesecake is guilt free too! Made out of macadamia nut and cashews, crust made of massa flower, corn, dates and agave, and topped with a mango spread. Better than my mom's 450 cal."

  • "We felt the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We were seated immediately for dinner on a Saturday evening. I think it would be most aptly described as an upscale vegetarian Mexican restaurant. It has a full bar, and is an interesting destination on the Classen Curve in OKC. We each ordered the fajitas, which included Portobello mushrooms, onions and grilled peppers served in more of a taco style. Generous portions and they were excellent. Service was prompt and efficient. The restaurant is highly recommended and reasonably priced. The table arrangements were a little tight and could be improved, but that is a small matter considering the quality of the food and service."

  • "Very tasty, and surprisingly filling. A different experience that we will do again. 6:00 reservations were not necessary as the restaurant only had a few tables occupied when we arrived. However, there were quite a few additional customers that flowed in starting around 6:30 (Friday night). The staff was friendly and very helpful. After a starter of Guacamole and blue corn chips, we had the Enchilada and the Fajita's for dinner. All were full of flavor and prepared fresh. After a friendly discussion with the manager, he had a some habanero sauce delivered to the table that really complimented and kicked up the starter for me."

  • "My husband and I took a friend who just moved here from NYC and we all loved it. We had the spicy margarita and could really taste that all the juices were made fresh. Also enjoyed fresh guacamole as an app. For dinner we had the burrito, fajitas and quesadillas. All delicious. Service was attentive and friendly and even enjoyed a quick visit with Chris, the head chef. While I enjoy the dining experience, I think I will also add this to my takeout list. The nights I crave Mexican food, which is often... I'd feel better about picking up Tamazul and taking it home. Thrilled to have this wonderful place nearby."
