I've discovered Talulla's few years ago. Talulla's is the best. The food is delicious. The bread is wonderful. We enjoy sidewalk dining and sitting in the window alcove. The service is always great. My husband and I love the bread dip so much the waiter told us how we could make it at home. The service is impeccable, they know their menu very well and can always be trusted to recommend a dish if you can't choose from the wide selection.
The food is always a good quantity but not so much where you feel bad for leaving some on your plate. Perfectly cooked and presented, this is fast becoming our go to place with friends. A greeting of "Merhaba" hello, It was as if we were in Istanbul, then our group of 8 was seated in one of the two front bay window tables, sectioned off by harem like drapery and surrounded by cushioned seats, and kilim pillows. WE began our daughter's birthday celebration with a cold appetizer tray, followed by hot appetizers- sigara boregi (cigar borek)and manti-meat filled dumplings in a yogurt, garlic sauce, larmacon-a pizza-like dough with a spicy meat sauce. Although this would have been enough for a meal, we did order entrees and desserts.
