Diner Reviews
  • "This is not just a pizzeria. We had mozzarella caprese that was not just tomato and mozzarella. This was a salad with the best balsamic dressing I've ever had. For a main course two of us had Penne Arrabiata with sausage and two of us shared the paella. The food was fresh and plentiful. This is not your fancy overpriced Italian restaurant. This is like eating at Nonna's house. The atmosphere is friendly and the service great."

  • "Don't go there for the décor. It would definitely qualify under the "dive" category. But it's got some of the best sandwiches and pasta around Boca Raton and non-Boca price points. Very friendly place."

  • "Food was very good and portions were large. Did not like the paper towel roll instead of napkins or the plastic plates. This restaurant has essentially no service, very limited beer and wine list but has great tasting Italian dishes with large portions. I would go back if in the area again."

  • "The food off the menu was good and very well priced. However, this is more of an Italian deli than a sitdown restaurant. You can sit down at a table, but there is only 1 waiter and the service is slow. If you order off the menu instead of the buffet, it takes awhile, but the waiter did warn us of this. You are charged $1/bottle of water (there were no water glasses or free refills) so you really feel like you are in a diner or deli instead of a restaurant. Prices are reasonable but if you are looking for a nice restaurant with atmosphere and service, this is not the place. Would be fine for takeout or if just looking for something inexpensive."

  • "You order at the counter, find your own table and your soft drinks or beer - although they do have wine available on order. The food is prepared for you and served to you. Portions are huge, dishes are tasty and prices are very reasonable."

  • "This was a good, small neighborhood place where the owners make the food and wait on you and talk with you. The food was great and served very hot with all 6 of us very pleased. The place doesn't look like much but our initial surprise was overcome when the food arrived. And don't forget the canollis for dessert."

  • "No table service at all, which we could have lived with. However, we didn't even stay after we saw what was on the buffet; definitely not what is on the menu online. The place was very loud with very little seating."

  • "We arrived at the restaurant and noted our reservation. We were told sit anywhere this is informal. We sat, and waited and waited for a server to appear. The server finally appeared and took drink orders, which he got half right upon returning. We waited for another 40 minutes until the server appeared again. Then another 10 when he told us he would be right back. The food was finally ordered, and arrived on plastic red plates. It was fair at best. The bread my husband ordered never did arrive although it was asked for twice,, and the water I asked for never came either. We will never go back to Talias again."

  • "I was NOT expecting fancy. I know from the AWESOME cooking class that this is a super-casual place. They do advertise GREAT food, which was not the case. The buffet was very small and consisted of several items that were dried out/overcooked, somewhat cold and not very tasty. The salads were nice, though we had to look around for serving utensils since there were none visable. The garlic bread platter was empty and though we were promised it was "in the oven" we never saw it during our visit. Our friends ordered off the menu and despite the fact there were less than 10 people in the place, it took almost two hours for their food to come out. I still cannot believe the entire experience."
