Wanted to like this place for the warm neighborhood feel. We were welcomed warmly, but forgotten half way through the meal. The chocolate souffle, promised to take "7 minutes" showed up about 20 minutes later. That dish was good, but at least one guest lamented after the meal that he was hungry. (He had the chicken kebabs which came on impressively large skewers and tiny piles of rice and veg - and were dry.) The beef stew was boring rather than delicious comfort food. Sorry not to be able to recommend.

There aren't a lot of good casual steakhouses in Manhattan, let alone kosher ones and they do a reasonable enough job to make it a decent general local option, especially as the staff is very welcoming. The food seems to be cooked to order and it is not quick..

This is a lovely place to dine; the appetizer with fries (sweet potato and regular potato) is quite good and certainly enough for 3 or 4 people. In general, the portions were generous, the food was tasty and the staff could not have been nicer. It's in a nice area as well so I would say it's certainly worth a try--varied menu so there should be something for everyone.

Went to Talia’s Steakhouse in Manhattan the other night for my brother’s birthday per his suggestion. It was pretty great just walking in at 2AM after drinks downtown and seeing the restaurant still serving. Nothing like eating Glatt Kosher prime rib in the early hours of morning on the Upper West Side. The food was great and even the service was great at that hour. They also had a great live musician in the house. I know where I’m going next time I need some late night food.

My wife and I have been to Talia's a few times and the food is generally very good. True, the prices are high, but kosher steak always is. However, on a recent night here, my wife ordered a ribeye and what came out of the kitchen was a leather-like piece of meat that tasted frozen (or maybe it had freezer burn?). It was inedible. But the waitress happily took it back and brought out a different cut without any fuss and the new plate was quite good. So, the response was great -- and the revised entree was great -- but I'm not sure why we got such a terrible steak in the first place. Overall, I recommend this restaurant, but maybe ask the server what is good/fresh that night. At these prices, everything should be outstanding the first time.

This place is special for me because I met my spouse here on a first date. Even though we have had some issues there in the past, its still one of our favorites. We both enjoy good steak and Talia's offers some of the best I've had. A couple years back, the steak wasn't always great. But last year, I had an amazing prime rib-I told our waiter about the quality of the Talia's steak in the past.To my surprise he told me they had changed the steak to a higher quality brand, because they weren't happy serving "OK" steak.Honestly we have been going often ever since, and have not been disappointed.Last week,we tried their new menu and enjoyed the new frenchfry basket with 3types of fries and 3dips-it's our new favorite. We love Talia's

My spouse and I visited Talia’s again after we had a great time there last Spring. Everything was just as nice and delicious as I had remembered it. They had some new items on the menu, so we decided to switch things up and try something new with the Pan Seared Duck Breast and Veal Scallopini, which were both excellently prepared. Of course, we had to finish off with their hot chocolate souffle again, because there was no way we were skipping that. If we were able to, we wouldn't mind eating at Talia's at least once a week, since it has become our favorite kosher restaurant in Manhattan. They're even kosher for Passover during the holiday, including hosting Passover Seders, and we will try to make it for one of the nights.

My wife and I dined at Talia's the other week and were very impressed with the food and service. The place was packed as it was the holiday season, but the hostess made sure that we were comfortable while we waited at the bar for a bit while they got our table ready, and we were even able to put in our orders so that we wouldn't have to wait too long for our food to arrive once we were seated (which really only took a couple of minutes). My wife very much enjoyed the Moroccan Salmon, which is grilled salmon served in a tomato based sauce, and my burger was cooked perfectly medium-rare as I requested with nice flavor. I've heard they have a great brunch on Sundays, and I plan on checking that out sometime in the future.

I dined in Talia's for the first time recently, and I was thinking to myself,“what is not to love?” Food, my top priority, was mouthwatering steak - loved it. Live music was with a fantastic Jazz singer in a top hat. Between the lively jazz melody, great food, and dimly lit, mellow mood, it created an extremely likable place for me. I would recommend Talia's to anyone anytime!

When I ate here for my first time I had such a memorable experience, that I now came back with my parents when they were in town. Once again, Talia's was the perfect choice! My parents loved their steak and lamb...My Moroccan salmon was good too but a bit spicy for my taste. Service was lovely, with staff who were polite and on top of their game. We had a table of overly loud diners next to us which was a bit distracting, but other than that , we were all impressed. Talia's is a PERFECT choice for anyone craving delicious food, warm and inviting atmosphere, and top notch service. It proved to be an excellent choice for my second visit, which must I am meant to come back often for a repeat sensational experience!

I had a late night snack with my wife a few days ago. First - the food was great - the Moroccan sauce makes the salmon so moist and delicious. and the lamb shank was so tender it was falling off the bone. Second - the ambiance - I loved the jazz/latin playlist they had - all my favorites from Ella to BossaNova. They played also Beatles, Neil Young, but that's not my type of music. Third - the service was good. My server was a middle-aged lady that was very professional and courteous. The rest of the waitresses were rather young, but they did very well too. Fourth - added bonus - the outdoor cafe - thank God it wasn't scorching outside, but with the light breeze the outdoor cafe is THE BEST part of the restaurant - forget about the a/c

A group of us were going to a Broadway show and decided to make a night of it and also go out for dinner afterwards. We booked at Talia’s Steakhouse because we have always enjoyed the food there and it’s also only 7 minutes on the express train from Midtown. We arrived a bit after 11pm famished! It’s a good thing that the portions at Talia’s are large. We enjoyed the combo platter and some delicious buffalo chicken wings to start with a bottle of wine. After that I had the Chicken Marsala which was excellent. Our server was very efficient and the food arrived quickly which we appreciated. We thought that the prices on the menu were amazingly reasonable. And to top our night off we got to hear some great live music. Highly recommended!

My spouse and I are substantially spending our money wisely when it comes to dining out at Manhattan restaurants. Our best example is Talia’s Steakhouse. Great portions of delicious food at very reasonable prices. My favorite is the prime rib for one – very nice of high quality, tendered and juicy steak. My spouse’s favorite is the grilled Moroccan Salmon with herbs. Yummy! Servers are polite and very friendly. Ambiance is cozy and warm – candle on each table, real rose on each table, live music and large outdoor café. Don’t forget the chocolate soufflé – from Heaven! Bottom line: 100% satisfied customers.

We went for brunch one Sunday and both got Steak and Eggs. The service was great - very friendly and accommodating, but the food was only okay for me. There wasn't much steak on the plate (this is a steakhouse so I expected a normal amount, not half the amount I usually get at other restaurants), and the steak that was there tasted strange. We may go back to try dinner, but brunch wasn't great.

I bought a bloomspot voucher a while ago for a pre-fixe dinner for two at Talia’s Steakhouse. I found it the other day and realized that it was going to expire at the beginning of April. I booked for last Thursday night because they have live music on Thursdays. It’s a great deal in my opinion - $75 for a three course dinner for two including a bottle of wine. Everything we ordered was really good. We chose the rib-eye steaks for our entrées which we both enjoyed. The chocolate dome for dessert was decadently rich and very chocolaty – most divine! To sum it up – an enjoyable evening with delicious food and a great atmosphere.
