Talara Latin Fusion restaurant offers an extensive menu that includes flavors and recipes from Central & South America. Our chefs take old, traditional Latin American recipes and execute them with new technology and new ingredients. Our restaurant features Baltimore's ONLY Seviche Bar. Our Seviche Bar offers 6 different Seviche preparations and 10 seafood options so that you can mix & match to create your own seviche. In addition to our Seviche Bar, our menu features other Tapas, Sushi, Soups & Salads, Entrees, & Desserts.

Talara also has a full bar that features an array of hand-made mojitos & caipirinhas, as well as an extensive offering of cocktails and beer. Our Wine List features 50 wines from South America and Spain.

  • "this was my first trip to Talara. I'd heard good things and was really looking forward to checking it out. We got the trio of ceviche for two- the Fire & Ice with Octopus was fantastic. Also enjoyed some of the tapas- particularly the woodfired mushroom flatbread. Everything was very fresh and tasty. by far my favorite thing though was the blood orange margarita with the jabanero infused tequila. I didn't try any of the entrees, but if you plan on sharing tapas and ceviche like we did, just know that the cost adds up very quickly and portions are obviously not large. overall our experience was good and i would recommend Talara, though I do feel it is a tad on the pricey end for what you get."

I like things salty, but this was too much. I'm hoping this was a fluke as everything else on this visit and past visits was great."

  • "Now menu is pricy and we paid $115 total but honestly you get what you pay for. The seviche is made fresh to order right in front of you if you sit at the seviche bar but if your sitting at a table then the staff will give it to you. We tried something different on the menu for the main entry and the crispy duck taste like orange chicken. The coconut rice was extremely addictive and my boyfriend had got the braised short ribs which was so tender it melt in your mouth. Give it a try please make reservation because the place isn't that big, the seviche bar is full service, and ambiance is moderate. We went at 6:30 this time so it's semi quit but at night it can get loud. Service always great but the drinks isn't much different anywhere else"

I highly recommend the ceviche (specifically the Fire & Ice with Tuna) and the Fiery Blood Orange Margarita if you like spicy stuff. I've had several entrees and each have been great. Most recently I had the braised short ribs, which I highly recommend."

  • "Have been to Talara multiple times however have not been in about a year and was less impressed by the food quality. The food was still good just not as well prepared as before. In addition the restaurant itself needs a bit if care. For example the amount of chipped paint on the walls left a feeling that no one cares. Don't become another has been restaurant in Baltimore."

I can say that the food was absolutely delicious -- fresh and full of interesting flavor combinations. We had four different seviche's and each one was fantastic. My Blood Orange Margarita was out of this world. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for great drinks and fresh, light and delicious food."

  • "Used Groupon to have dinner here on my birthday. Had tapas before, wanted to try it with Latin flavor. Happy with large portion size of tapas, each dish was excellent. Had two tapas dishes, a salad (another winner), and split an exceptional entre special. Everything was delicious. Had unusual drink - dirty vodka martini made with homemade pickle juice...very good. Service was great, attentive but not intrusive, great personality. Would go back in a second."

  • "This restaurant was a surprise, I read the menu and had great choices but the food is absolutely fantastic. The flavors, spices, presentation and the mango mojitos.....WOW. Also our server Nora made the night, she was very knowleageble about the menu and offered great recommendations, provided great service and kept us laughing and entertained, she was fantastic. This place is a twist of Latin food, don't expect everything to be like it should be in Latin America, you will like it. Is my new favorite place, also has great happy hour prices."

The waitress (Taryn) was really helpful and very attentive, the appetizers were great (Apple & Cranberry Ceviche was outstanding), the entrees were very good (crispy duck also outstanding), and they had three desserts on Sunday - we tried all three and they were great. Will definitely be back."

  • "This was my second time to Talara although many months between visits. Went for my wife's 49th birthday dinner with 2 friends. Restaurant was crowded. Had to wait for out seat but hostess was really smart and offered to get us drinks from the bar. That is GREAT service. Ended up with 2 wait staff helping us although I'm not sure either one was aware the other one was waiting on us. Nonetheless it worked out great for us. Ordered some appetizers and small plates. Service was timely and the food was as I remembered it, very good. Wait staff was knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. Bill for 4 with 2 rds of drinks $170 before tip. We ended up having a great time, made even better by a friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. Will go again."

Our food was dry and bland. My husband's meal was generally odd. He ordered arroz con pollo which came filled with carrots (don't get it!). I brought out of town guests here because I had such a great experience previously and I was a little embarrassed that I had recommended the restaurant. Hopefully it was just a fluke."

  • "My girlfriend and I first visited Talara this summer to experience their happy hour and haven't stopped raving about it since. The food was phenomenal and the drinks were delicious. We live in Woodbridge, Va but it is well worth the drive. The seafood is so fresh and Chef Hamilton is adventurously creative with his entire menu from appetizers to desserts. He should seriously go on The Taste. We had dinner on a Travelzoo voucher this past weekend. Nothing short of amazing. The Bistec appetizer is tender and flavorFULL. The Fire and Ice Ceviche with jumbo lump crab is a layered experience. The shrimp and polenta is so well balanced. Can you say foodgasm? Thanks to our server, Stephanie, for being so knowledgeable, friendly and awesome :-)"

  • "The first two things my husband ordered - a specific fish for the ceviche and his rib-eye entree - were unavailable. He ordered the duck instead, which was billed as a half a duck. He was expecting half of a duck.... the breast and a leg. Instead, he got two legs, only one of which was deboned. Technically, that's still half a duck, but it's not the usual presentation. Otherwise, the food was really quite good. We appreciated their flexibility - instead of having a dessert, as specified in the Travelzoo voucher we were using, they let me have a cocktail AND they made it with splenda instead of sugar (I'm not a big dessert person, and if I'm going to have dessert, there'd better be chocolate, and there weren't any chocolate options)."

  • "We eat here probably a few times a year - love the Harbor East area. Above all, the food at Talara is amazing. There are lots of options and combinations of the ceviche so you can always have something different while enjoying your favorite tastes. For those who might not like the raw seafood (you don't know what your missing) there is a great entree and tapas menu to satisfy you as well. My wife had the Shrimp and Grits which was really amazing. Definitely on our list of top 5 favorite restaurants in a city with a ton of great food."
