This was our first time at Tala. My husband and I consider ourselves foodies, so we were excited to try a few items. Our appetizer of the edemame wontons was amazing; we wish there was more! I ordered the scallops with corn succotash. The scallops were cooked and seared to perfection, but they were way too salty! The salt overpowered the rest of the spices and even the cauliflower purée. Needless to say, that was very disappointing... My husband's steak was cooked well and his dish was flawless. Great cocktails and a fun atmosphere! Maybe a bit too loud for date night or romance, but better suited for a group of friends.

I have dined at Tala many times & this time was terrible.Idon't understand why groups can bring their toddlers to a nice restaurant for brunch and let them run around like its a playground. The management must get control of this. This is the second Sunday in a row that kids were obnoxious.m parents, leave your toddlers at home or go to Applebee's, not Tala. Also, for the first time ever, we sat around waiting forever for our food.Itwas at least a 30 minute wait for a salmon salad and three Benedict's.The poached eggs clearly stayed under he heat lamp too long. They looked like fried eggs. However, management fixed this. They deducted the meal from the bill & were very apologetic.Kudos for fixing half he issues of the day.The service was good.

We always enjoy the Mazzone properties whether it is for a dinner out or a group function. Our first visit to Tala did not disappoint us. The host greeted us as if we were regular customers and was attentive throughout the evening. The wait staff was also attentive and courteous. The restaurant is upscale and attractive. We started with the cheese tray. It was delicious and the portions of delicious cheese were large. We didn't finish it since we ordered a salad big enough to share & dinner.

Salmon is always perfect. As is everything else. Service is choice. We were greeted by a welcoming smile emediatly (I forgot our server's name) ..but she was spot on with timing, attentiveness, and professionalism. And everyone's hot. The food was cooked as requested. Chefs in back care about what goes out. Flat-screen in men's room above the urinal is always an instant plus! Decor seems well done and not tacky. Nice ambience. Should Salon patrons walk thru ding room to get to salon? Nice X-exposure, nonetheless! Anyway, good stuff guys!

Dined at Tala this past Thursday night.. What a great meal... Excellent service from Emily and great treats (appetizer and dessert) from Chef Alex. The seared scallops were delicious as was my dad's top notch burger (cooked perfectly, and he's tough to please!) Can't go wrong at Tala; will definitely be visiting again soon.

We are so glad we finally decided to have a late lunch at one of the new local restaurants, Tala Bistro. The Asian Calamari is the best calamari north of Florida. Each bite of our Fig Pizza made me say, we need to come back often. We shared the calamari and fig pizza and brought home 2 slices of pizza. The beer and wine list was also to our liking.

My wife and I loved Tala, it was our 19th anniversary - and we were welcomed like we owned the place. I was recommended by the Sous Chef's Aunt Patti - and she was SPOT ON! Food was amazing, place was very nice! And when we left we saw the patio with the fires going - looked like a plan the next time! Thanks again for a memorable anniversary, I looked like Superman to my wife.

It was our first time at Tala but we will return, prices are a little high but worth the money, service was excellent, very attentive. The food was excellent and the chef presented us with a special taste prior to the meal. The noise level was quite high but it appeared that one of the tables were having a good time so we cannot fault that. Overall it was an enjoyable experience

My husband and I loved Tala! From our warm greeting to the good wishes when we left, Tala hits the highest marks. Our server was friendly and efficient. But the food is the star of the show. Great menu and the specials this night were fantastic. Heirloom tomatoes appetizer was outstanding and the aokinawan pork belly to die for. Filet cooked perfectly and the maple glazed pork was mouth watering! The chef, Alex, even came out to check on us!! Tala is an amazingly high end experience in a friendly atmosphere. From pizza to seafood, steak to a scrumptious burger, Tala is the neighborhood gem not to be missed!!

I brought 2 friends visiting from Florida to TALA. They really enjoyed their lunch. One of my friends had the lobster roll and the other roast beef dip sandwich. The service, as always was the best. My one friend and I raved about the Baby Arugala Salad. We all enjoyed the Thai Asparagus Soup and our lunch entrees. Tala is a fine place to have a meal. The decor reminds us of a NYC Bistro. You are doing things right. I have been several times to lunch and enjoy it every time. I look forward to my next visit.

Food was very good but menu needs a bit more variety--perhaps a braised pork dish or a lamb dish. There were only 2 steak choices and both were mid thirties in price, Need one that is a bit more reasonable. A small salad should come with dinner.

I have to say this was our worst experience at Tala in 15 visits. We love the place, but I have to say that the service and the food quality on this very slow night was terrible. The waitress; Amanda was late delivering our food, so much so other waitresses had to get our food/drinks (after we asked them). She literally walked past and left us waiting as she waited on others. The coffee arrived late, my beer arrived late in a dirty glass, the calamari arrived overcook 2x. They did give us a free dessert, but we are not dessert eaters. She never returned to refill the water glasses. Seemed to be a very sweet girl but terrible service this visit (she was much better the last time we visited). We were extremely disappointed.

Though menu is limited, there were at least five or six items that made it a tough choice. The salads were delicious combinations...innovative and large enough to share. The shrimp were large and perfectly prepared. When my husband mentioned it was my birthday the waiter brought out an appetizer compliments of the chef. At we started to leave she gave us a small gift. We were not rushed and will definitely return.

Chose Tala Bistro for a Tuesday PM dinner with a friend, based on convenient location & good reviews. The décor is upscale and modern; service was exemplary. Our friendly & accommodating server was a highlight of the experience. Food was excellent (the wedge salad is delicious!) & promptly served The only negative was the acoustics; when we sat down at 6:30, we could converse with one another in normal speaking voices. Within an hour and a half, we had to practically shout at one another to be heard, which was disappointing because we were enjoying lingering over our tasty desserts. Overall, I would definitely recommend Tala Bistro for its great food and service, but maybe not the best choice for those seeking quiet conversation.

I really want to like this restaurant. The staff and the decor are great. The menu looks great on paper. But after a half dozen visits I'm not impressed. The appetizers are good and fresh, so lunch is the best option. Entrees have consistently disappointed. I had the fish special, which was overcooked. Guys tried two of the pizzas and only one was satisfied. Other diner was disappointed by both her muscles and, of all things, her roasted chicken. How do you screw up chicken? And Tala still suffers from what Avenue A suffered from.... Noise level. Similar to Avenue A they put in ceiling noise absorbers, but no luck. I was at a table of 6 and could barely hear the person next to me. We shouted through dinner. Sorry, Angelo !

Met friends for dinner there. It was noisy and difficult to hear while the bar was active, but improved as the evening wore on. For an appetizer, the edamame dumplings were out of this world! Our server was initially inattentive and not able to answer questions about the various entrees. While the Roquefort mushroom sauce on my entrée was delicious, it was too heavy with salt and the filet mignon itself was slightly overcooked. To make up for that, the server offered complimentary desserts for the table, however, when the bill came, only my dessert was complimentary. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their entrees but agreed the service was weak. There is a very good selection of wine, but bottle prices are higher here.
