Taka SushiOne of the top sushi spotsTaka joins Tomo and Hayakawa at the top of the list for Japanese cuisine in this area. Contact him ahead of time to arrange a fabulous omikase dinner. He will bring in some hard to find fish from Tokyo- you wil not be disappointed. Respectable wine list for such a small place, too, with at least six junmai daigingo level sake selections.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMadventurous sushi, great serviceAmazing and exotic sushi nestled in Buckhead, just off Pharr Road. Not fancy, and not traditional by any means but unique and compelling just the same. The patio is fantastic. The service is native and unobtrusive. Many crazy fish options available no where else in the city and flown in LIVE from Japan. If you like filling out a hand menu and ordering California rolls, this place is NOT for you. But if you like adventurous sushi in a relaxed, authentic atmosphere, Taka is the place4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Sushi in BuckheadWe took a chance on Taka for a dinner out while on vacation in Buckhead. It is pretty centrally located and easier to find than most places we went to during the week.
The staff was extremely friendly and polite. They had added some Masters gear to the walls for the week which was fun for us as we were attending the tournament. The atmosphere was really nice as well. Very appropriate for a later dinner with your significant other.
The food was really delicious. We aren't hard core sushi eaters, but the rolls that we had were extremely tasty and the fish was super fresh. They also make the portions perfectly sized, so you're not trying to cram a gigantic roll in your mouth with every bite.
We loved it.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this place! Authentic,Love this place!
