The décor prepares you for a wonderful cultural experience, but that is slightly dampened by the smell of mothballs versus the smell of delicious food, and the lack of customers. Our waitress, Serena was very sweet and efficient, and the belly dancer was very talented. As for the food, it started out good, but got worse with each course. The entrée of lamb and eggplant was very disappointing; the eggplant was burnt and tasted like vegetable oil, the lamb lacked flavor, and just didn't taste like it was freshly cooked. The owner is limiting himself by only providing the 4 or 6 course dinners at a very expensive price. He could have a full restaurant if he provided individual appetizers and entrees. My friend makes better baklava.

Wine list extensive and reasonable. Best lamb we have had in quite a long time. Hot and spicy chicken was superb. Belly Dancer was delightful.

I have had good arab food whih is known for it's generousity. This place overcharges for the meal courses it offers. But over all great and comfortable seating. They would do better offering more food variety at a more reasonable pricing. They would actually ale more money doing food options and not charge bread and tea as a course meal. The soup was good but it felt like it was a kids size meal, being a little more generous its lentils not that expensive. Offer more variety and keep the tradition. I might only visit for the cultural experience and special occasions only never for just the food.

This is the first time I've been to a Moroccan restaurant and it was quite interesting. It began with the offer to remove our shoes if we so desired. We had two choices for seating - either on silk pillows on the floor or slightly raised seating. The server then brought over the pot (not sure of the name) and had us wash our hands so that we could eat with our fingers as is traditional. After dinner we washed again, and he also sprinkled our hands with rose water that was very fragrant. Business is slow, so hoping still there next year when we return to the area. Maybe if more people get brave to try something new and different, they will survive. Well worth the visit!!

Never ate Moroccan food. This was a great experience on an [unfortunately] quiet night. The food was excellent, the service was exceptional. I strongly recommend this place for anyone that enjoys more exotic, for the American palate, foods. However, if eating with your hands turns you off, you may want to look elsewhere. We found that to be one of the draws to this unique restaurant. Tragically, they were very quiet, the traffic not returning as before the flooding in Manitou Springs. This restaurant is worth the trip and very much worth checking out. We will return.

Food was good and the waitress was very friendly. But the owner/ manager was not friendly. He even refused to give the discount offer they had advertised in their website, which was very bad

We love Moroccan food and this restaurant provides it. Their lentil soup is to die for, the flavors are exquisite but the one complaint I had is that they had no beef - only lamb. The lamb was tender and most delicious, but I was hoping for beef skishabobs. The chicken bastille was a bit on the slim side as far as portions go but still good. This is a good place to take friends for a unique dining out experience. service was outstanding!

We tried this restaurant out for a fun date night and it exceeded all of our expectations. We had the entire restaurant to ourselv which made the experience even moire unique. Be ready for a traditional Moroccan experience from the decor down to the lack of silverware. We can't wait to bring our friends!
