The food was absolutely delicious. But the ambiance was too plain for the quality of the food. I think the interior needs to be dressed up more.

Drinks were really good. Service was great. Food was fine, but not very creative. It was restaurant week so possibly we didnt get to try usual menu. We would have liked to have ordered something else. We probably will not go back again.

I chose this restaurant for Denver restaurant week even though it was way out of my comfort zone. I couldn't understand most of what was on the menu. The waitress was very helpful in describing the dishes. Every course was delicious. The pork ribs were amazing! This place was well worth it. We had a party of 8 and everyone loved their food.

Everything had a little twist to make if fun and different -- from the start with poppycock with asian 5-spice in the caramel. We also loved the innovative cocktails. My personal favorite was the Wasbinini -- lively flavors with just a little zing to it. This restaurant is a foodies delight. We also like that, while lively, its quiet enough to enjoy a conversation.

Recently, my hubs and I went there to celebrate his birthday on a recommendation from a colleague. The ambiance was brilliant we ate at a table instead of the sushi bar and it was quiet and lovely. The service though was unexpectedly outstanding! Normally at restaurants with a raw theme you receive an apathetic reception at best. Go to Tag Raw Bar!

Granted, our group of 6 went out on a Wed. night and fairly early so we did not experience a bustling or lively atmosphere. In fact, it was dead quiet. Looks like a cave. Dark and depressing. Service was slow. Table snacks were caramel corn and fried seaweed. Not a good combo. They did not have a lot of wine selections unless you ordered something from TAG restaurant, which meant they had to hightail it over there to find the bottle. I was very disappointed in their sushi. Unevenly sliced, messy even. Is this chef even trained in sushi? Overall flavors were bland, even with too much sauce. With all the fantastic restaurants on Larimer St, you'd be better off picking any of those over TAG Raw Bar.

Came on the day after Valentine's Day to celebrate with a nice dinner. The service was awesome. Waitress was friendly, explained menu very well, and made great suggestions on the saki. The food tasted amazing. We had several rolls. Apparently the menu changes frequently so we will return to see what new raw foods TAG has to offer. Small location but just made the experience that much more fun.

I loved TAG Raw Bar and its creative menu and drink options. The restaurant is really small and the service left a little to be desired as it was rather slow. BUT the food more than made up for the drawbacks. We had the beef carpaccio, west coast oyster, the sake to me roll, and a few ceviche imagination shots and everything was delicious. This is a great place to go if you are going out afterwards because you will feel satisfied after your dinner but not bloated and too full. We will definitely be back.

I was excited to finally try TAG Raw Bar since TAG is one of my favorite restaurants in Denver. The first courses we ordered were great (oyster shooters, sushi tacos and godzilla buns). Unfortunately the rolls were really disappointing. We had one roll that wasn't even edible, the combination of flavors just didn't work. It was also weird that they only had two glasses of wine on their menu. We ended up ordering a bottle from the TAG wine list but it took a while to get it and nobody at the Raw Bar can answer questions about the list.

Went with my husband for our 23rd wedding anniversary before a show at DPAC. It was a Tue night so the restaurant wasn't busy. We chose to sit at the bar and we proceeded to get the royal treatment from Shane the Chef. He took us on a foodie voyage taking our personal tastes into consideration. He made us feel super special for our celebratory evening. Will totally go back and look forward to it.

TAG was a nice change from our usual sushi restaurants. It would have been nice to try the tasting menu but it is not served without 24 hour notice. The sushi tacos were our favorite but everything was delicious. Service is good, not great which was a little disappointing, especially because there were few other diners at the time.

Loved the food at the Raw Bar, but the service was super slow, and the restaurant was not busy at all. We went early on a saturday night (6pm) which downtown typiclly means you're out in an hour because they want to reset the tables for the 7-7:30 crowd. Our meal took 2 hours, and we didn't order anything complicated, etc. But, the food was delicious - very interesting sushi menu and lots of different things on the apps menu. All is all, I'd go back for sure, but plan on a leisurely dinner.

Went in expecting something tasty and fun like the other TAG establishments. What a let down. The food was so-so at best. The menus was confising. Our waiter brought the entre out ahead of the salads and the said he would go out it under a lamp. They ran out of eggs at 6pm on a Friday... I mean, reall? Lets just say, I was a little embarrassed I took a date here.

Went to TAG Raw on a Living Social deal. I was confident it would be great as I have been frequenting TAG for a couple of years now. I was not disappointed. We had a couple of sushi rolls, the sushi tacos (we've had numerous times at TAG) the kangaroo tartare with quail egg which was delicious and the ceviche shooters. Holy summertime in a shot glass! This was by far the best ceviche I've ever had. Limey but sweet, tempered by the onions and just a flash of heat. When the server asked if we wanted dessert, we both ordered another shooter!!

Food was pretty good. Evidently the $9-10 standard way overpriced drinks aren't enough for them here - now they are $11 or $12. Which, I have to say, is absurd. No happy hour (we were there at 5), no "specials", just stiff prices to accompany the stiff drinks. Service was not very good (I had to get up and get my own soy sauce even though a waitress had come by while my dunking cup was conspicuously empty). we had three different people taking care of us, none of the three were very attentive. None mentioned any special, but we saw one on the sign while leaving. Refilled my water once. We weren't too impressed, and probably won't go back. So many other places try harder and have equally good food. Glad we went, but it's off the list.

I love to eat out and try new restaurants, so I'm glad I tried Tag Raw Bar but I won't be returning. To me, it wasn't anything special. We made reservations but stood at the door waiting for someone to greet us. It is such a tiny restaurant and there were 3 waitstaff walking around but none came to help us until the bartender said something. We were seated and forgotten about for a while. The food, while good, seemed overpriced. After two drinks, brulee avocado (amazing SMALL salad), smoked salmon crudo (again, small), and a sushi roll (8-piece) I was shocked to see it came out to $70. It just isn't worth it to me.

I was skeptical about this place with all the odd and end reviews, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Our service was not bad, it did take a little longer than usual for them to check up on us, but the servers were all very nice and I didn't mind. Kangaroo tartare was very good and so was their sushi. I enjoy a meal when you don't need to add soy sauce or any condiments to your food because it tastes delicious without it.

Their suggestions proved to be delicious and we loved every bite. I would STRONGLY recommend the kangaroo tartare and the ostrich. Both were divine. And for dessert...? Chef Noah outdid himself with the chocolate bar and carrot cake cheesecake. Beyond worth coming off the diet for an evening! Overall, we had a wonderful and deliciously outstanding evening!

Service was friendly and attentive however I thought the food was a little bit lacking. We just had three item, granted not sushi items but what we did have was mediocre. My ostrich had great flavor, but the bitterness of the kimchi and the raw green bean texture did nothing to make the ostrich better. Also, the music at 7:30 at night on a Wednesday was bumping dance music that may be more appropriate for a later time in the day.
