  • Parking Details: We have parking in the structure under the offices at the signal at the Nyes Place. The entrance to the parking is low, be careful with your SUVs. We also have some limited parking behind the restaurant (turn on to Hinkle Street from PCH) Street parking is available. If both lots are full. Please don't park on Terry Road behind the restaurant.
A word from Tabu Grill
Take an adventure to Tabu Grill. Tabu has a “hip” vibe, called by some as an upscale "Tiki Hut." You won’t want to miss the grilled Mexican diver scallops, served with Potato Puree, Tangerine Beurre Blanc, and citrus baby greens. One of the local favorites is the yellow fin poke, with mango, celery, avocado, and mint, served with soy ginger taro root. If it’s steak your appetite is longing for, our 16 ounce prime bone-in rib eye served with forbidden rice risotto, caramelized chippolini onions, forest mushrooms, chanterelle cream will satisfy your craving. The mixed vegetable stir fry was a little to heavy on the cabbage for us but very tasty. The small plate raviolis were tasty but not extraordinary. The food is always really good and we love the high top tables. Go for the food; the atmosphere is a delicious bonus,"

  • "After hearing about Tabu for a year we finally decided to try it. I was terribly concerned our expectations would now be too high and we would be disappointed but this restaurant is outstanding! The sea bass was done to perfection! The tuna appetizer was outstanding! Everyone enjoyed trying the gnocchi. And the service is top notch. Just make sure you have the banana bread dessert before you leave! Excellent evening and we will go again!"

  • "We went to Tabu twice in one week it was so good! The restaurant is smaller and intimate so a reservation is recommended. They do have outdoor seating, but it is right on PCH so depending on the time of day, think twice if you want a quieter table. The Thai Chili coconut soup is fabulous, if it is on special. We had the Cranberry Goat Cheese Salad, and Flat Iron Steak with the Mac-n-cheese, and the Filet. Everything was prepared perfectly. The wine list is on the smaller side, but interesting. Try the Three Sticks Blend - yum! For desert, we did the Apple Tart, also extremely good. You will be pleased."

  • "A few years ago, Tabu Grill's food rated 29 on Zagat. I never thought that Tabu Grill was that good despite the fact that has been my favorite restaurant in CA for nearly 10 years. Well, after two dinners last week, it is at least a 28 and probably a 29. We had the tasting menu both days -- with another couple on Sun and my wife and I on Thu. Food with great flavor was prepared before our eyes (we sat at the bar overlooking the kitchen, on Thu). From the bar we marveled at the vast array of fresh ingredients, the three friendly and very busy chefs, and the creation of our 4 courses plus the wonderful grilled bread, Tabu Grill treats you to fabulously tasty and beautifully-prepared food in a quiet, romantic environment with great service."

  • "We have a party of four. The dinner reservation was at 6:45pm. We left the restaurant at 8:50pm. Half way through the dinner, the hostess stopped at our table and asked if she could remove our half full plates. Since that time, she kept looking at our table as if she wanted us to vacate so that she could seat other clients. I have never been treated this way before."
