Visit us at 773 10th Avenue, at the corner of 52nd Street, just steps away from the Theater District to find out what everyone's talking about. And ask us about our brand new PRE-THEATRE PRIX FIXE MENU! Diner Reviews
  • "I've eaten here at least four times, and it's always consistent: great food and service"

  • "We really enjoyed dinner at Taboon. The restaurant was lovely and the food was so interesting with delicious and unexpected combinations of favors. I had a salad of beets and Asian pear that was visually beautiful and a perfect combination of sweet and salty. My fish dish had a lots of fresh herbs. My husband loved his chicken dish with couscous and interesting sauces. I highly recommend this restaurant./"

  • "I love this place and would go back over and over even if it wasn't close to my home. The food is always perfectly prepared and the servers friendly and extremely helpful. Seasonal changes in the menu keep things interesting. Highly recommended."

  • "Every bite was delicious! I'd day don't fill up on the bread, but it was so great that it's impossible to not want more and more. We had three loaves between three people! THen all the apps & entrees were great, & the Silvan dessert, we couldn't get enough! We talked about going back for just the bread and dessert:)"

  • "Starting with the lovely hostess Ali we were made to feel very comfortable (we were running late for our reservation and we were pre theater). Our server Tanya was so pleasant and refreshing and made us feel relaxed and placed our order so that we could leave on time. The food was excellent and everything was prepared from fresh ingredients. Only negative- main dish portions were small. Would definately try it again !!"

  • "We have eaten here when we visited New York and had such a good experience we went back this visit. It was another great experience. The service was attentive and amiable. The food was exquisite. We had the red snapper ceviche and pita falafe lappetizeres. Don't miss the halumi salad. We both had the Heraime (striped bass). It was great. Not too moist, perfect. The knaffe dessert was also fantastic.A great experience."

  • "I am always looking for places to eat in the area of the Time Warner center and Taboon is on the edge of how far I am willing to walk, but its worth it. I have been there three times now and all three times have been a very good dinning experience."

  • "Our evening at Taboon was perfect! We arrived at 5:30 for a pre-theater dinner. We had a lovely waitress who did not rush us. Everything was delicious from our drinks and appetizers to the striped bass for the main! The flatbread and babaganosh was the best we have ever tasted! The beet and pear salad was scrumptious and we had the stipper in 2 different ways- both delicious! We were able to enjoy a leisurely meal as the beautiful restaurant around us filled with Saturday evening patrons."

  • "We had a group of six and everyone was very pleased with their appetizers (especially the gazpacho) and entrees (Striped bass special and chicken were particularly good). We had a round table perfect for six in a sunny corner. I will be back...."

  • "With so many really good, moderately priced restaurants in the area, not sure why anyone would head here. Food is good, not great, but really overpriced. Dinner for 3 (3 apps, 3 entrees, one glass of wine), was nearly $200 with tax and tip. Just not worth it."

  • "Very nice restaurant with good Mediterranian food. Fresh and tasty. Nice moderately priced wine list."

  • "love the place (been there before)... great lamb duo/Octopus grilled/hummus/dips/Sancerre/waitors/etc.... but after booking online w OpenTable......not liking where we were seated this time...in that weird corner (enter and turn right)...its poorly lit/no windows/near loud kitchen.... ...felt like I was in pergatory. ;)"

  • "The waiter was surly and had a terrible attitude s it dampened our dining experience"

  • "We have eaten at Taboon several times over the past few years. It was never great but was good and convenient to the theatre area. Our biggest gripe was the service was aloof. Our most recent visit was our last. The food was just fair and the service was rude."

  • "I love everyting about this restaurant, from the intimate atmosphere to the delicious food and outstanding service. It has quickly become our favortie NYC dinner spot. The breads are warm and delightful. The appetizers and entrees are all outstanding. Flavors are amazing, and not over done. Nothing else compares!"

  • "My family and I dined at Taboon and really enjoyed it. Great menu with creative and interesting options and lovely restaurant space. Service was excellent. Lovely ambience and outstanding dessert. Very fresh ingredients in eclectic combinations. Fresh-baked bread appetizer is a great starter."

  • "I am a Midwesterner who eats beet salads everywhere I go, especially if they do NOT have goat cheese in them, and Taboon's was incredible! Pears and drizzle of tzatziki. We all liked everything we got-excellent schoog. It was entertaining to watch the gymnastics class across the street during dinner."

  • "I've never had a bad meal at Taboon. There are plenty of vegetarian selections, and each dish is flavorful and artfully presented. However, the real showstopper is the bread. We always get a full order per person."

  • " In another life? I so enjoy tzatziki and dips and warm bread baked in a clay oven, with fish ( Bronzino) roasted in that same oven. Taboon uses the best ingredients, prepares them with care, and I then am happy, thankful for bounty and a glass of wine."

  • "Taboon may be one the greatest brunches in town; perfect for a holiday weekend in the City."

  • "A neighborhood find. Grilled octopus was tender. Nice variety of small plates to share. Grilled branzini also excellent. Won 't break the bank either "

  • "As a French resident in NY, I'm very picky on food and rarely recommand restaurants (sorry, French are pretentious...). Taboon is one of the first restaurant I discovered when visiting Hell's Kitchen with newyorkers. Since I'm living in the neighborhood, I'm always excited to go back there on a monthly base, manly with parisian visitors. Taboon cuisine is very tasty and so much influenced by mediteranean flavors (which reminds me a "bite" of my original home in the south of France ). Guys, I'm having good diners and great time in your restaurant. "

  • "Been coming here for many years and the food is always good an creatively prepared BUT...... I am not sure that the portions could be any smaller and still be called an entree! Given the small portions which are highly priced, it is very petty to charge for an extra order of bread. They give you one order if you are a party of 2 and the same order for a party of 4 "

  • "Best hummus and the dipping bread is mind blowing!! To hell with gluten free!! The salmon special was perfectly cooked and the flavors were well balanced. Will certainly be back."

  • "Taboon came recommended by a foodie colleague at work. We had a foodie visitor with us from SF and wanted to impress him. Wow, Taboon worked! Every dish that came to the table was perfect. The timing of service was excellent; not too rushed nor lagged. The waiter was cordial and helpful. My meal was finished with a perfect espresso which strangely is hard to find in this city. We will recommend and will be back Thanks!"

  • "My dining guests are vegetarian and I chose Taboon because they seemed to have a comparable Brunch Menu. My friends and I were very impressed with all the food and the bottomless Mismosas are definitely a hit! I've been there for dinner as well and I find the overall restaurant to be a great place. "

  • "We ate outside--not a fancy dining area, but it was a nice night. Inside looked pretty. Food was excellent. We ordered Tapas style...so many neat things to try. Delicious bread with dipping sauces, shrimp, octopus, zucchini cake, avocado salad, hangar steak and a vegetarian main course, nice bottle of wine. All good!"

  • "I've been to taboon several times now and the food is always fresh and delicious without being pretentious. The environment is casual/elegant and the music is not blaring loudly so one can actually have a conversation (not so common in NYC restaurants as of late) Everyone in my party loved it. We will definitely return."

  • "Taboon affords a slightly different and very delicious dining experience. The flat breads are magnificent, as are the interesting creations based on them. The house mint tea is very special and a perfect end to the meal."

  • "We celebrated mother's day at Taboon. I have had brunch and dinner here several times during the past couple of years. As with every other visit, I am always extremely pleased with the meal, service and ambience. Even though it was a very busy day, our server did not rush us in the least. We will come back to Taboon again and again. "

  • "The food at Taboon is just wonderful. Every dish is perfect. If you love small plates and perfectly prepared Mediterranean food, this is the place for you. Service was a little slow the night we went but we've been here before and it slow service was NOT an issue. "

  • "I love tasty food--and Middle Eastern food is some of the tastiest and healthiest around. This was a terrific find. The food is great and hot herby breads wonderful. I especially loved the MEZE choices and had many as a main course meal. The wine list is very good too. I will definitely go back many times to explore the menu. The service was charming. "

  • "The food was incredible. I guess I should start with stating that unlike most restaurants on NY, they actually sat an incomplete party (which I love). Then they offered is free bread for the table (of course we ordered more bread). Dips were fantastic. Drinks were delicious. Food was incredible. The only think that I didn't like was that we felt a bit rushes. Apparently they were expecting to flip the table by 7:30, so they told us this and rushed us a bit. We were out by 7:29 - and we saw a number of empty tables as we left. However, that is the only negative thing I could say. "

  • "We have been to Taboon many times over the years - from casual dinners to New Years celebrations. This time was a family birthday party. They gave us a wonderful table for 8, and an amazing pre-fix menu that was extremely generous with choices. Everyone was impressed with the family style dishes that seemed to never stop arriving. Delicious!!! We all can't wait to come back again. Thank you Taboon for giving us such a wonderful and memorable experience :). See you again soon!"
