Only wrinkle is that the tables are very close together so you are on top of each other. Not uncommon in NYC restaurants so not a real problem. For my Eggs Taboon I chose roasted zucchini, fresh shaved parmesan, and roasted tomatoes with my 2 eggs over easy on just out of the oven focaccia.. wow… and everyone at my table had the same reaction… the fresh brewed tea and molten lava cake with Turkish coffee ice cream rounded out an excellent brunch in a bright light filled space with friendly and attentive wait staff… …we can’t wait to go back again5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, well served.We loved the food at Taboon. The striped bass (Heraime) is in such a flavorful sauce, I savored every morsel. The Kube was delicious as was the mussels appetizers. The service was attentive with great recommendations from the waiter. The only negative is that it gets noisy when it is full and it is always full. Wonderful atmosphere and great service. Everyone I've taken here has gone back. They have entrees but I prefer to share an assortment of tapas dishes. Taboon is known for its fire baked bread and delicious dips. A classy Mediterranean evening. I've been back twice since and each time the food, service and ambience have been perfect. I'm a foodie and this has become one of my top three favorite restaurants in NYC. It's great spot for dates... charming, warm and sophisticated.
