  • " Hostess nicely asked us to leave for 5 minutes and look at a menu while they were not 'open' yet. We arrived at 10:55 for a 11:00 am reservation. Taken upstairs to the impressive and intimate covered outdoor dining area. Nice, but why on hot day with reservations were we up top with an empty air conditioned downstairs with a great view of the chefs available? Server was nice but not confident with menu, which made sense b/c last week's menu was in some of our menus, and chef changed items last minute w/out notice. Almost 2 hours for mediocre 5 course menu. Coffee cake was very good. Salmon was on menu as smoked but received pan seared with overly acidic salad. Pasta very good but cold, steak entree good and sorbet ok pre fab..."

  • "The food was great; the server was knowledgeable, and friendly. He explained the menu very well which helped us to decide easily. We really had a great time, definitely recommend the restaurant."

  • "Our table of five found the restaurant to be lively with a fresh and natural interior. Every detail had clearly been a considered choice. Our food was also fresh and delicious and perfect in serving sizes. We would recommend that the music be turned down a notch or two because it was difficult hearing others in our party. All in all, we had a great time and will recommend Table to others."

  • "My husband and I had a lovely evening at Table recently. The food was very good - all dishes were delicious and presented very nicely. The service was good, but we had to ask a few times for additional bread with our charcuterie platter, and it was bit difficult locating our server at the end of the evening. That all said, it wasn't such bad service that I'd never return, and the food was certainly worth a return trip - or two. We were able to sit on the outside patio, and the ambiance was lovely. We will certainly be back."

  • "We enjoyed a wonderful meal at Table. Don't miss the squab! The presentation and attention to detail was spot on. We dined early and it made for a more relaxed and intimate experience. Bravo"

  • "Overall, wonderful experience. Patrick, the exec chef, was very attentive and informative. Enjoyed watching food being prepared and at the precision in presentation."

  • "Love this place. Food is on point. Had the soft shell crab app and veal sausage app, both were fantastic. Oysters on the half shell were shucked perfectly. For main courses we had the grilled octopus and the wolf fish and I'd easily recommend either. It was hard to choose from all the delicious sounding desserts, but we went with the chess pie and strawberry compote and were beyond happy with our selection. Very friendly service and a nice wine selection. Looking forward to returning!"

  • "I've been to Table twice for dinner and have had a wonderful experience both times. The food is always superb, but it's the service that makes Table shine. I sat at the chef's counter the first time and chatted with a sous-chef while he plated food and recommended wines. My family just had Father's Day dinner here and no one was disappointed--not the vegetarian, not the picky eater, and not the foodies among us!"

  • "This was my 1st introduction to Table; the friend I was with had been there 3 other times...she loves Great Food. I am so so glad she introduced me. This is one of those rare blends where exquisite down to detail food is served in casual and clean-line sophisticated place. I would come again....many times...for lunch, brunch, and also dinner."

  • "I've been here twice now, once for restaurant week and once for dinner. The food during restaurant week was spectacular (and at a great price). When I went there they had a set brunch menu with only two entree options for $35. Maybe this was because it was father's day, but I like to have more than 2 options to choose from and wished that they had told me this in advance. The menu consisted of a breakfast pastry (just one and it was not very good), salad (which was just ok), a small pasta dish (which was good), a choice of sunny side up or steak and eggs (both of which was good), and a sorbet. No drinks included. The main course was delicious, but the whole meal was not worth $35. On top of that the food came out agonizingly slowly."

  • "Sat on their rooftop, outdoor patio for an exceptional 5-course prix fixe brunch with excellent service."

  • "I went to Table for the first time for brunch with a group of friends. The courses came out perfectly spaced and we never felt rushed. 4 of us got the over easy egg and it was beyond wonderful. Our other friend got the steak and eggs. His scramble wasn't wonderful but the steak more than made up for it."

  • "The service was poor. The server never asked for our drink order and there was a long time before we received the pastry course (which only had one option) and all the other courses. The one of the options for the main dish was no longer available and the other option was only available for two (even though there was no mention of that requirement on the menu). Everything was tasteless with the exception of the salmon course."

  • "The server was not very attentive, the ambience was very utilitarian. Right where a bar should be, they have an open air kitchen, so you can see the chef/expeditor sending the food out. Not very nice if you're trying to have an intimate dinner. My wife and I were there for our anniversary, and it was not romantic. The food was good! But the ambience is lacking."

  • "We selected Table for a special birthday dinner based on positive reviews and recommendations of the restaurant from friends. Therefore, our expectations were high. We requested a table on the outdoor patio, which was not granted. The food was average at best. The cured mackerel was bland and the grilled octopus lacked imagination and more importantly flavor. Service was biggest flaw with a 45-minute wait between the first and second course. Overall, it was very disappointing. Far better restaurant choices in Logan Circle and Shaw."

  • "This is a small restaurant in a converted garage, with tables close together, the atmosphere is a little frenetic, but the food is terrific. I had the sashimi appetizer with salad, the squab, and the lemon curd dessert. All were well-prepared and delectable. My husband ordered the boar rillettes (you really have to love meat), and the branzino and piperade, also very good. "

  • "A quality dining experience in the Shaw neighbourhood. Food was very good, especially the pork cheeks and the sea bass. The setting and ambience was just right. We will be dining there again."

  • "Last weekend we visited DC and found this restaurant on Open Table. It looked like an unusual choice and so it was. The people who work there are nice and friendly and I found the service to be attentive. The restaurant is in a converted garage, with the roll-up garage door incorporated into the decor. While I had fun watching the kitchen staff work, my guy watched the expression on people's faces as they walked in and saw the space. The menu is interesting if you are looking for the latest in dining techniques but definitely for foodies. Everything tasted great but the amount of food was small. We were in and out in about an hour and maybe due to an early-ish seating it felt a bit rushed.-"

  • "Last minute reservation on Open Table for sunday brunch. They only serve a 5 course menu for brunch so we went with it. Food was excellent but 1st and 2nd course were too close together. Then we waited a very long time for 3rd course. All very tasty but small portions (as it should be). On the way home we remarked that we were still a bit hungry -realized they never gave us our first course of breakfast pastry. Sent an email to the manager but never heard back."

  • "I like Table a lot. The food is fresh and simple. The service nice. The atmosphere unfussy. I went for brunch and wasn't thrilled to find it was a prix fixe meal but it was really good. Not too filling. And really flavorful. Fresh. "

  • "Stopped in after a reading at the Washington Stage Guild and was offered a table on the roof. Since it was well past sunset, that was less impressive than it would have been earlier in the day. Wasn't too hungry, so got the day's soup -- a delicious potato-leek -- and five items from the cold cuts/cheese selection in addition to the goose egg, which the waiter recommended. None of the meats was as outstanding as the ones I had recently at Partisan, but all were tasty. The domestic camenbert was just the right temperature. The Basque sheep's milk cheese was a little dull. The star of the evening was the goose egg. Liked the red and white wines found on the By the Glass list. I intend to return to explore the menu further. "

  • "The food really was great, but sadly the service was significantly lacking. Our server did her best, but the gaps in service went beyond what one person could control. The service was uncomfortably slow and there was literally something wrong with every course. Most interesting, many reviews contain similar feedback which makes me think that management doesn't know how to fix things, or simply doesn't care. The restaurant adjusted our bill (without us asking) due to all the trouble, but even this accommodation may not be enough for us to return. I share this feedback from a genuine place of wanting this restaurant to succeed, but some important changes need to be made in order for this restaurant to compete with all of the DC options."

  • "It feels almost like a pop-up restaurant. The waiter was quite scattered. The bass was very good, but it didn't come until after the wrong dish was delivered - delaying our entire meal (nothing was offered for the mishap). The NY strip had lots of sinew."

  • "Hipster town.... Great for foodie bloggers, instagramers and other yelpers ... Great food but the setting/decor/ambiance was more of a nicely painted garage than a hip restaurant, beside the fact that the open garage door was making the space particularly cold. However food was good, minus the lack of salt. The gimmicky sunchoke "ganache" was just a purée thickened and piped on the plate. Nonetheless very tasty. The large cast iron pan with the goose egg was a nice dish. But $19 for one goose egg, a little frisée and shiitake mushrooms is a bit much. The sweetbread were excellent. The prawns were quite gritty. Overall a great food experience. The service was attentive even though a bit inexperienced and young. But that's fine."

  • "I wasn't impressed with Table's brunch. The ambiance is great. Service was great. I am underwhelmed by their brunch menu. I've given it two chances. I'd rather spend $50 on a brunch that will leave me satisfied and full...unlike the half Chicago dog we had or the melted half scoop of lyche sorbet for dessert. Boo!!!!"

  • "We dined on a Sunday for brunch and were struck by only being able to order a pre-fixe menu, and that the price was $35/pp. we thought: OK, maybe it will be memorable. the food portions were small but the ingredients were interesting; however, a number of items, such as the omelettes, were overcooked, and the house sweet rolls were no better than Betty Crocker makes. add to this difficulty getting our server's attention for more drinks, and it became a forgettable experience. I wish it were different, and with thought and effort the owner can make it so."

  • "This restaurant is quite expensive, yet most portions are extremely small and the food is only ok. Not worth the price and the service wasn't even that great. It was just a bit pretentious."

  • "I had made a reservation through open table for 8:15 and was informed upon arrival that my reservation was listed in the system as being at 8:45. After showing my reservation confirmation to the hostess I was told a table would be ready soon but no accommodation was made and I was not seated until after 8:45. Table does not have an adequate waiting area (either you sit in front of a drafty garage door or you're pushed up against hanging coats right by the front door, which is also drafty) so the wait for a table was unpleasant. Once seated, the food and service were top notch, but unfortunately it was a poor start to an anniversary dinner with my girlfriend."

  • "This restaurant is just the best - the food is very creative, well executed and delicious. The restaurant is very cute and has thought about every detail - from the wine glasses to the "notebook" style menu. Even though it's a little pricey, I always feel great that I spent the money on high quality food, service and ambiance."

  • "My roommate and I finally made it to Table to take advantage of their restaurant week menu and were not disappointed! Starting with great selections off their wine list, we were seated at the counter to watch the action in the kitchen, which was mesmerizing. We both loved our selections, the wild boar tagliatelle being my personal favorite. The desserts were better than expected - we were a little unsure what we were getting, based off the description, but the deconstructed cheesecake with blood orange sorbet blew us away. And the ricotta donut-hole-thingies tasted like the fanciest, most tender funnel cake I've ever had - so good!"
