  • Worth Visiting Houston For

It was a cold and nasty night in Houston (November 14). What better way to warm up than to try this restaurant. For two hours we enjoyed excellent food, wine, and service. The interior design added to the pleasure. We ignored the weather outside. When we left, it was clear to us that other people had also thought that the Table was a good refuge from this weather; the restaurant was full. While we enjoyed our meal, it was fascinating to watch the delivery of different dishes to other tables. We definitely will return during future visits to Houston...hopefully during better weather.

We celebrated a birthday and had a very nice experience. The waiter was excellent and very knowledgeable about the food and the wine. We had a table at the window, which I had requested when I made the reservation. We shared an appetizer of mushroom flatbread which we liked, but we also felt it was a tad underseasoned. For entrees my friend had the catch of the day and I had sea bass, and both dishes were very tasty. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was unobtrusive. We definitely will recommend this restaurant to others.

Went for lunch with a group of 5. Had looked at the menu online and it looked interesting although fairly pricey. Same decor as Phillippe, very attractive. 3 ordered a glass of wine, 2 were served, mine was not, took a while to get the waiter's attention. Finally brought wine, wrong one. 2 had the BBQ chicken salad, chicken was neither hot nor cold, 2 had the quinoa shrimp salad liked it but one needed more dressing, again could not get waiter's attention. beet salad was good but not worth the price, small handful of frisée and 3 beet slices. Mussels were very good, large, no grit and plenty of chorizo in the broth. was maybe 50% full for lunch on a Thursday. Lunch for 5 with 3 wines - $200. None of us said we needed to go back again .

I went to table with 3 of my friends for one of their birthdays. None of my friends had been there before and I have been to Table a few times. We had a great time!! Everyone was able to order what they wanted, our waitress was very nice, and the food was phenomenal. I had the quail as my entree and loved it! Two of my friends had the chicken and the other had the NY Strip and everyone finished their plates! They surprised us with a birthday desert for my friend and we ordered the Vanilla Leches. My friend loved it so much that she didn't want to share it and I had to fight for my bite! It was a fantastic evening!

It like many restaurants put in a ton of ingredients, however it works for Table. The menu is small but full of great opportunities-the dessert menu exceeds the actual menu and looked very good. We came early and they assigned us to a less than attractive table with only a partial view when the whole restaurant was wide open-we did ask to be moved and they complied. The restaurant soon filled up and although busy service was great. My only complaint was being initially seated in a corner-would highly recommend the restaurant, however, it was inventive and visually pleasing with handsome decor: tip ask for a window view, and you will have a spectacular evening, even the plating is appealing.

Came here for the 1st time and it was amazing. The service was great and the food was even better! Ordered the Ponzu Crab as an appetizer, which was ok but the stars of the night were the Sea Scallops and Mushroom Parpadelle. The scallops were cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the pasta tasted hand made w/an incredible earthy sauce. The restaurant itself is spacious and beautiful, perfect for an intimate date or a group celebration. Would definitely return and recommend!

The ceviche of the day was excellent. My guest and I both had a fish dish. My fish was delicious as well as the sauce. Sadly it was ruined with a dry and pasty yucca pancake that took away from the brightness of the sauce and shellfish. My guest felt his dish was overpowered by sausage flavor. It was expensive. The service was friendly, well trained and not overbearing.

  • New Post Oak Blvd. Hot Spot
    WiseOwlDiner

Typical new Houston Hot-Spot on Post Oak Blvd. The menu is American eclectic and somewhat limited in choices, a bit boring... Filet Mignon, Red Snapper, Salmon, etc., but each done in the restaurant's own style. Nothing to rush home and call a friend about, however. Expensive, of course. Service is outstanding and helps make up for the over-priced menu.

This was my second visit to Table and it did not disappoint. The waitstaff was non- envasive but helpful. I had Brick Chicken that was delicious. The wine was one I had not had before and would not have chosen if our waiter had not given me a taste after telling him my wine preferences. It was really quite good and I appreciated the recommendation. All in all, a great evening in a wonderful restaurant.

I planned a girls' catch up dinner at Table for a Monday night. The restaurant was practically empty. 2 other tables joined close to the end of our dinner, but nothing like I would have expected given the location. The food was really good. I had the octopus, my friend had the Table salad. We found both fresh, tasty and enjoyable. My entrée was the burger with rosemary truffle fries; my friend had the lamb lasagna. We both loved our dishes. Novel presentation, good flavors, appropriate portions. Cons ... service was professional but flat. Wine list was weak. It's River Oaks/Tanglewood/Galleria ... we like fine wine. The list needs a revamp. Given the overall meal, I liked the restaurant and I will go back.

This was our first time here and we really enjoyed it. We split the tuna flatbread which was light but very flavorful. The three of us ordered different dishes to share and really enjoyed them all: duck, scallops & osso bucco. The scallops were like butter and just melted in your mouth. The duck had a nice crispy skin and was very moist. The osso bucco was very flavorful. Not sure who had the best entrée out of the three of us. We split the Dr. Pepper chocolate cake and a vanilla dessert. Both were awesome. The waitstaff was very knowledgeable on the wines and on the menu overall. Will definitely come back.

I don't know what I was expecting, however I was surprised. From the moment you walk in you know you are in for a treat. The bar (although empty) looked amazing, the seating area was very inviting. Next, you go upstairs to a exquisite dinning area, where there are I PADS available for your drink selection (and you can also get an early peak at desserts). Started with the oysters which were fantastic and then the pork chops extremely tasty, and finished up with the "warm" Dr. Pepper cake. Yep Dr. Pepper Cake!! Stop reading my review and make your reservation. As a matter of fact I am going to make me another one right now!
