Diner Reviews
  • "The hostess tried seating us in a booth that was to small for me to fit into and walked away. We requested a table from the server that came with water. She was wonderful and made the accommodation for us. Our server was wonderful and did a great job! The food tasted good, however, the portion for the price seemed high. For what were charged, each person in our group received one very small cinammon roll, which was not freshly baked. My suggestion is that at this price point and for ambience, it would be best to have a basket of fresh-baked pastries at the table It is unlikely that we'll be back for Sunday brunch again."

  • "We had a party of 6 and had reservations on the night of the Mopar Big Block Party. We got seated immediately and the service was Great!"

  • "We have eaten here many times, and this was the first time the meal was so-so. Out of the for of us, one was good, two were ok and one was unacceptable. Our waiter was very good, and we usually have very good meals here. All in all, we will eat here again, hopefully the kitchen was just having an off night."

  • "Great place to take out of town guests for a taste of western ambience. Great food, the corn muffins are a favorite. Wide variety of tasty margaritas!"

  • "Our book group frequently chooses Table Mountain Inn's Cantina Grill for our meetings and the site for events. We have never had a bad experience there--the staff is wonderful, just attentive enough but not hovering; the food is consistently excellent and they are always kind enough to accommodate requests for a little more or a little less. Always a really great experience."

  • "I was disappointed in my entree - it sounded so good on the menu. The "cherry sauce" tasted like bottled brown gravy with some dried cherries in it. The chicken breast was just breaded and fried and the mashed potatoes were just dry and blah. I added a side of grilled asparagus and it was so salty, couldn't eat it. My friend had the skirt steak (I think that's what it was caled) and it was nothing special; same blah, dried mashed potatoes. The two men had the ribs and they said the sauce was very good. We decided to go else where for dessert. Our waiter was very good (Dan, I think), but service was slow. I think they must have been short handed."

  • "Food was great, but service was slow. Not sure if understaffed, or if this is how restaurant normally operates. it was our first time."

  • "Due to our bad experience in 2008 & 2009, I was hesitant about taking out-of-town guests for dinner. However, we decided to give it another try and the food and customer service was far better! Our waiter was awesome (wish I could remember his name) was polite, outgoing, knowledgeable about the menu and had good suggestions. Ambience is nice with a southwest theme. The huge margaritas were great, as well as the hand mashed guacamole and cornbread muffins. Guests said the Pinon Cherry Chicken and Slow Roasted Chicken Enchiladas were delicious. My fish tacos were good, but the fish was a tad bit overcooked, reason for 4 stars. Dessert was very good. Overall, it was a very nice evening and will come back."

  • "We have been eating here for years. Our favorite time to come is the first Saturday of the Month when the Classic Cars drive up and down the main street, almost like on parade. This restaurant is always busy - make a reservation first. It is always nice to sit outside but the ambiance inside is very nice too. This particular visit we came for Brunch which we have never done before. Delicious! You are served FREE baked fresh from the oven cinnamon rolls while you wait for your food. The Sparkling Mimosas are only $5! The Banana Bread French Toast is melt in your mouth - no syrup is even needed! The Golden Omelette is amazing, especially served with a side of Red Chile sauce! Absolutely the best hash browns ever! Service is always great."

  • "We live in Boulder but visit the Table Mountain Grill and Cantina occasionally because we like the menu and the ambiance. This time it was a treat for out-of-town visitors. What was new this time was our discovery that there is extra parking across the street."

  • "We were a small group of Red Hatters looking for a new place to hold our May outing. Our membership had nothing but raves for the food and service we received at Table Mountain. We would heartily recommend this place to our other " Red Hat Group" friends. The "Arvada Red Hat Mamas""

  • "We really enjoyed the brunch at the Table Mountain Grill & Cantina. It was easy to get reservations (using OpenTable), parking is close, and they menu sublime! The wait staff was attentive but not overly so - and it allowed for some great conversation and catching up with old friends. Will definitely be back!"

  • "Going to Table Mountain Grill and Cantina at the Table Mountain Inn is, first of all, a trip down memory lane. The former Holland House Hotel occupied the site of the now significantly remodeled Table Mountain Inn. In the 50's we had our Christmas dinners there. Today the SW decor fits very well in the charming town of Golden, CO (home of Miller Coors Brewing) Whether for brunch, happy hour or dinner, the service at the Table Mountain Grill and Cantina has always been good and the food - much of it southwestern - is very good. Prices are very appropriate. It's a great place in a fun little town - just a very short drive from the heart of Denver."

  • "The special chicken with coconut sauce was highly recommended by the waiter. The chicken was over cooked and dry, and the sauce had little flavor. The waiter was negative about most of the menu items. He was high energy, and did not check back with the table after the meal was served. Water was not refilled and we had a long wait for our entrees. We recently ate brunch there and the food was average."

  • "We arrived early and understandably had to wait. We did get seated about 15 minutes prior to our reservation time. The restaurant was very busy. The buffet was very good and was kept stocked regardless of the amount of guests. We had to ask for water a couple of times which you shouldn't have to do at a buffet. Overall a pleasing experience."

  • "Mother's Day brunch was not as expected. They put us way in a back room (lacking ambiance & cold). The buffet was "so-so" and over priced, crowded lines, and service was lacking (had to clear our own plates from the table and ask for water refills over and again). Not the experience I have had over the years eating at the Table Mountain Inn. Generally, I love it! But, this was cold and uninviting! Won't do it again."

  • "This is the best place to dine in Golden . . . perhaps in whole western Denver. Outstanding food, service and unpretentious surroundings. "

  • "We had a group of seven people eat at Cantina for a Saturday brunch service. The waitress we had was very sweet and caring. We had a few questions for her that she didn't know the answers to, but asked her staff and was able to quickly get back to us with answers. The food was delicious. We had a really nice time eating here and then exploring Golden afterwards."

  • "I have been to the Table Mesa Grille & Cantina many times. I bring good friends and relatives with me. They are always surprised at the high quality of the food and drink and the modest prices. Last week I ate at a very high priced downtown restaurant. Food wasn't as good as this was. I intend to come back again and again."

  • "First and last time here. Went for the Easter Buffet with my family and arrived for our 2:30 reservation. I asked the hostess "if the Easter brunch ends at 2:30, will there still be a buffet for us?" She assured me that there would be. "We check in with our guests to make sure they have had the main entrees and dont close anything down until we know everyone has been taken care of" she said. The waiter came by and took our drink order. We went to the buffet and it was very picked over. Food was cold and the buffet did not look appetizing at all. We were seated in the bar, which was loud and had monitors playing sports. I had heard that the mexican food was good here. None was served."

  • "We did not enjoy this visit which was for Easter Brunch. The layout of the food is difficult to maneuver around and the selection was limited. We did not think we got enough value for our money and determined not to return for a buffet style meal."

  • "A solid southwest cuisine restaurant in the heart of downtown Golden. My family is from Texas and very familiar with Tex-Mex cuisine and very much enjoyed everything that we ordered. "

  • "Quite a distance from where I live, so would not go often, but enjoyed the good meal and service, and could recommend. Judging by the crowd there on a Thursday evening it must be a neighborhood favorite, which is also a good recommendation. "

  • "We celebrated our Anniversary with friends and again found the experience super. I have ordered the Problano Delmar before but this time it was better than ever. My husband felt the same way about the Pinon Cherry Chicken. One of our friends ordered a special thing with the Buffalo Burger minus the bun substituting a corn muffin on the side instead and all was exactly to order. Thanks again for being there and great."

  • "In my experience, this restaurrant consistently delivers great food and service. This time I invited a friend to join me for Brunch and it was terrific! Starting with the cinnamon rolls and then Prime Rib Eggs Benedict, topped off with a delicious Bloody Mary...it just couldn't have been any better."
