The food tasted really good, but the portion was much, much smaller than I was hoping for and pricey . I left a little unsatisfied. However, some of my family members meals looked much fuller for about the same price. They also let Me pick what I wanted for a free birthday desert. I am willing to give it another shot. The flank steak with cherry/chipotle sauce was super, the trout moist and well prepared, and the filet was perfectly cooked on the grill. The restaurant was pretty crowded by happy local people, but the service remained efficient and very welcoming. The southwestern specials on the menu look delicious, and we look forward to returning here again soon to sample them. Part of a local hotel, the restaurant has an extensive menu of traditional bar food, Mexican-inspired entrees, a large burger list and excellent local favorites. At our waiter's recommendation, I had the trout, and it was delightful. Lightly pan fried served over garlic mashed potatoes and topped with a caper sauce, the dish was a flavor and texture delight with every bite. Along with excellent food, the authentic western decor and down-home feel make this a great choice. I would normally give the food an outstanding rating but I would suggest the rellenos have a nice cover of green chile rather than 'toppings' like sour cream and avocado. The rellenos themselves were delicious. Big and beautiful! Big salads and enchiladas were superb. I recommend it for any Mother's Day. We have been going there for the last 5 years and the service and food is just great. They never run short of food, and are always keeping the food fresh and warm or cold as the need arises. They serve in smaller batches so that it never gets dried out or cold and there is always enough.
The price is reasonable and the food is very tasty with good variety. Their chef is great. The wait staff is friendly, keeping water, ice tea and drinks full, and removing plates as needed. Simple favorites and gourmet dishes alike are absolutely perfected at the Table Mountain Grill. Meat enthusiasts will notice that the seasonings are rich and flavorful but never remotely hide the taste of the perfectly cooked meat. I thoroughly enjoyed my entree. I always enjoy eating at Table Mountain Grill and Cantina. Had the Tues night AYCE ribs and they were excellent; fell right off the bone and the sauce was very tasty. The most interesting item was the Asadego cheese appetizer.
