BOCADOCouldn't have been better!Don't let the limited menu scare you. My husband and I wouldn't call ourselves foodies by any means, but we really LOVED every single thing we had. Drinks were fun and unique (and there are always additional seasonal options not on the online menu), all the small plates are awesome but definitely not big enough for a meal. The burger is out-of-control good, and the herb fries are awesome. Their regularly changing list is superb but the bartenders David and Tyler can make anything you want. Equally good is Bocado's starter/small plate selection, with are truly creative and deeply flavored, and based on the highest quality ingredients. The list of entrees is short but hits the needed categories (seafood, chicken, beef, etc.) and each entree is nicely conceived, delicious and well proportioned. It comes one way, and that is really all you need. Everything else on the menu looks great, but I cannot skip the Bocado Burger Stack when I go. The cocktails are a little pricey for the size, but you know you're getting something special after the first sip. The fact that it's on the smaller side helps makes it feel more intimate. Based on other outside reviews, we tried the stacked burger and it did not disappoint. We definitely will rank it as one of the top burgers we've eaten to date. They have a decent selection of beers/wines to try out. Service was good and we did not have to wait for a table when we visited. My husband had the famous burger stack and it was delicious, and I had the lobster roll. The lobster roll was fresh and delicious, but I can't wait to go back and get the chicken dish which was what I originally planned to order. Or, will I be able to resist the burger?? Brought own wine, $15 corkage fee, limit two bottles per table. Had a party of four so that was just right. The salads were a big hit with everyone. New red rice salad was outstanding. Lobster roll was good but would not order again. Hamburger and French fries were delicious. The only thing that did not meet the general overall outstanding quality was desert. Fine but not outstanding. Our server and the service were terrific. Very loud but it was a place made to be loud. The hip crowd started coming in as we were leaving (yes we are old) around 9:30. The reasonable prices and good food will likely keep Bocado a destination place in this vibrant and growing area. Would go back without hesitation. It's basically crafted with two thin beef patties, american cheese, pickle, and mayo, on a soft sesame seed bun. My only disappointment was, and it's nobody's fault but mine, was that I had the lobster roll on my brain, but my reservations weren't until 9.
