When I'm in Atlanta, I always try to stop by Bocado. A great, fresh menu, always well prepared. While casual, it is also both excellent and current. This visit we had great food and a wonderful after dinner experience in which the manager, Ari, led us through the extensive aperitif menu. We'll definitely go back!

I didn't realize that I had a favorite restaurant until I couldn't eat solid food for a week after dental surgery. As I was slurping through gallons of cream soups, I dreamed about Bocado and especially about the black rice with squash. It was my first solid food and it lived up to my dreams. So yummy!

We ordered the deviled eggs (prefer a little more flavor in the filling), the quinoa salad was excellent as always and the lobster roll with tomato bisque was a perfect ending to a great meal. The cocktails were delicious.

awesome burgers and fries, brussel sprouts, and desserts! decor is coldly minimal, service was so-so but our server had too many tables. no self-parking and valet area is uncomfortably tight. then when you come out for your car it's so close it's silly to have the valet bring it to you and quicker to walk to it. so all in all, this place will be fantastic if they move from this awkward location, warm up the decor in the new place, and hire more staff! :)

Took a gamble on a new restaurant while traveling to Atlanta and was more than pleasantly surprised. Modern ambiance with a really cool bar serving up magnificent artisan cocktails. Try the duck papardelle. Also cheese course was very good with well paired sides.

As always great and fresh food with lots of taste and variety prepared. Nice selection of wines by the glass. And funky atmosphere. Can be noisy (especially the chairs on the concrete floor). With good weather the Terrace is a pleasant outside seating area. Service can be great and friendly, but not all waiters are displaying that friendliness - so it really depends who waits on you to make it an enjoyable experience throughout (12th time we dined here.)

A beautiful space, packed, and very high noise level, expected in a bar, but not for fine dining. Appetizers were great. Entrees were mediocre: poor quality of meat and serious over seasoning. The burgers appear good, but greasy. If Bocado wants to be a bar, it should ditch the full menu and offer what it seems to do best. If fine dining is the goal, it needs major restructuring.

Great experience once again! The family was trying to grab a quick, early dinner before our evening plans and the staff got us in and out quickly and efficiently! My daughter and I had the burger and fries, which are both incredible, while my wife had the roasted chicken with grits and collards. As great as the burgers were, the chicken and sides stole the show. Thanks again to Bacado for a great experience, we look forward to coming back when we have more time.

Second time to Bocado; better than the first. Good energy but really loud at times, so I wouldn't consider it romantic because it was tough to hear your own conversation. The menu has mostly "small plates," such an overblown trend these days, and of course as with most tapas now, the prices aren't small. There were only 5 or 6 entrees to choose from, so you were kind of limited unless you did more tapas. Good food though and good service.

My first time there and I will return. The service was great, servers have an unbelievable understanding of the menus, each of the dishes, the drinks and you can trust their recommendations. The space is very modern, industrial and fresh!!! And, they didn't chase us out - even after we finished our meal. Went on a weeknight, got there early - around 6 PM, and watched it get crazy busy. And, they didn't miss a beat!!!! It was wonderful - can't wait to get back!

I have now been to Bocado 6 times. Lunch and dinner during the week and on the weekends. The food never disappoints. The service is ALWAYS very cordial, but SLOW. My advice is to schedule your dining time early. Don't arrive hungry because you'll be dying of hunger by the time your food arrives, UNLESS you order the burger, which always arrives quickly.

Our friend gave us a gift card to Bocado and we had a very nice night out. We didn't really like the entree options, which were limited, so we went the small plates route. We ordered three small plates and that was plenty to fill us up. The food and drinks came out very fast which was nice. The only negative is that our waitress forgot about us entirely. We had thought about ordering more small plates, but she never came back to check on us so we called it a night. We had to eventually go to the hostess to ask if we could pay and leave. Other than that blip, it was a very nice evening and we would recommend Bocado to friends and family.

We've tried Bocado twice in the last month. Excellent small plates and good that vegetarians and those who need gluten-free can also find great options. But it's just TOO noisy - they need to work on that - there are companies that specialize in reducing restaurant sound levels so that patrons can actually have conversations while they enjoy the excellent cocktails. And on that front - it seemed short staffed at the bar on Saturday August 23 - need more staff and especially bartenders.

This time the food was all good, but 1 of the 6 of us received our plate almost 8 minutes after everyone else! And no offer of anything was made to make up for us all sitting there staring at her empty setting while our all of our food cooled. Notgood.

We were a table of four friends, three of whom had previously been there for lunch, and two had been there before for dinner. While lunch is a pleasant experience noise-wise, we ALL had a truly difficult time trying to hold a conversation at dinner. Everyone remarked unfavorably on that! My ears were literally ringing all of the next day. In addition, there is a constant line-up for the restrooms. The drinks are beyond amazing and the food was really superb....but I don't know if I would go back again due to the noise level!

This is a great place that my neighbor recently introduced to our Saturday dinner group and I fell in love. The cocktails are great, the wine list is great, wine by the glass is great and the FOOD... YUM! From the peach & blackberry salad to the smoked trout dip to the deviled eggs, it is all great and then I tried the burger. Wow! The burger is a delicious creation of two thin patties cooked well until they a slightly crispy on the edges with cheese and pickles on an H&F bun.

I love Bocado. My wife and I have been here many times, especially when we need to satisfy a burger craving. The food is always excellent and, in general, the service is usually up to snuff as well. On our last visit, however, our waitress was simply overwhelmed. She didn't get us our drink orders correctly, didn't bring one of our appetizers, and was sort of flippant about her poor performance. Thankfully, the manager apologized and comped us our appetizers (of which there were many) and satisfactorily rectified the situation. This experience aside, I could not recommend Bocado more highly. I will definitely be back!

must have been a new server. we ate dinner Friday night August 8, and we had a terrible service experience. We were seated promptly at a bad table and ordered our drinks and our meal. The appetizer arrived and 10 minutes later the drinks arrived we did not get any service for another hour and SAT there with empty glasses turned upside down on the table and no one even noticed. I would definitely give this restaurant another try as this is the first time that we have had terrible service hopefully that person will be better trained or replaced soon.
