TableOne of Asheville's very best.World class cuisine with a top notch wait and kitchen staff. You are bound to see things on the menu that you've not seen before. Go ahead and try something new from the list. Inventive, eclectic and daring but not just for the sake of being different, Table takes you new and tasty places on the food map. The menu isn't just what's for dinner. It's a magic carpet.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMDeliciousTable is the best restaurant in Asheville for people who appreciate exquisite ingredients and superb preparation. Attention is paid to all details. Even the "house wine" is excellent.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMflavor adventureOur party of 4 tried several appetizers including the bone marrow, shrimp, charcuterie, and escargot, and got different entrees: the duck, scallops, tuna, and lamb. Everything was expertly cooked and delicious. Hard not to want to try everything since their menu changes frequently to offer the freshest local-as-possible ingredients. Staff was friendly, attentive, and professional. Tried one pastry dessert for the table that was excellent as well. A bit on the fancy (you get what you pay for!) side, so save room in the budget for a trip to this awesome restaurant.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMVisiting AshvilleThe Table was highly recommended by a chance acquaintance. We were not disappointed in the least. Great food, interesting menu, great wine list. Would recommend to any and all.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMwonderful food and relaxedwonderful food and relaxed but efficient service in a very casual dining room. The hanger steak was the best I have had; waitress attributed it to cooking "sous vide". Whatever, it was great.
Everyone in the restaurant looked to be having a great time and we were too.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's DayThe service and friendliness was outstanding. They accommodated us on all levels. It was a great experience, thank you5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMgood timesolid cheese plate, limited wine selection but pretty good, all courses were expertly prepared and presented, service was outstanding, and prices were reasonable for the quality.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place! We really ejoyed Table! Probably our favorite meal in Asheville5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the very best in Asheville. One of the very best in Asheville. The menu is interesting and creative. The preparations are well done and quality outstanding. We have been to Table before and it has never disappointed. When in Asheville, make arrangements to go to Table. It is well worth it.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMUnique & eclectic cuisineThe chef clearly likes to experiment with the dishes he creates. We tried a variety of dishes; some were great and a few were not. We don't really want to knock the chef for his creativity; we just think some of his dishes may not appeal to everyone's tastes. The dish we enjoyed the most was the NC shrimp & cornbread dumplings appetizer. It was delicious and was a generous serving that can be shared. My husband loved the hanger steak. I had the scallops which were cooked perfectly; however, I didn't care for the sides served with it. If you don't like to experiment, this may not be the place for you. Otherwise, we recommend Table for a unique and enjoyable dining experience. It is pricey but that seems to be the norm in Asheville.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThe best informed waitstaffThe best informed waitstaff anywhere. Everything is explained in easy detail. A great experience.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMHad the rockfish with creamedHad the rockfish with creamed kale, carrot puree. Very good.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWe really enjoyed the spacingWe really enjoyed the spacing of the tables. Even with all the tables filled and prom season underway we could enjoy "our" conversation. We had a wonderful anniversary dinner.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMDowntown Treat in AshevilleTable was a great choice for brunch. The food was prepared well and the portion size was perfect. The customer service was awesome, they handled a situation that could have gone wrong perfectly. I would definitely return back again maybe at a different time to try lunch or dinner.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMI was disappointed that theI was disappointed that the chef refused to substitute potatoes for something else; it seems like it would have been a minor adjustment, and the restaurant isnt that large. Otherwise the meal was decent and the service was fine. Not sure I would race back, however.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMTable produced some of theTable produced some of the most flavorful and best prepared food I have ever had the pleasure of eating. My only regret was that we overindulged on appetizers and entrees, and had no room to try dessert. Table sets the bar high for all other Asheville restaurants and many others failed to live up to the expectation. We can't wait to return to see what the menu has in store.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my first time diningThis was my first time dining at the restaurant. I had a very nice and enjoyable experience. The food was great!4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMFABULOUS!This restaurant was fantastic!!! Of the two that I chose from Open Table, the concierge liked this one the least. I decided to try both and this was by far the better of the two! Unique food but not so far out that it was in any way off putting. REALLY enjoyed this dining experience.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMInspired food, local and seasonal!Inspired food, local and seasonal! A treat every time. Stewart is an amazing server.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMThe menu was small but offeringsThe menu was small but offerings were diverse and were created with great care and very high quality ingredients. Be sure to ask the wait staff questions about the menu items...they are very knowledgable and obviously excited about what they serve. The service was attentive and friendly. Try some of their unusual appetizers!
My husband's cowboy rib eye was the best cut of meat he'd had in ages. And my seafood stew was spiced just right...very Cajun! Wish we'd had room for dessert. The wine list was good, but pretty pricey.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous food. We've alreadyFabulous food. We've already recommended Table to others. We'll be back!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMSimply one of the best diningSimply one of the best dining experiences that I have had recently.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMStuart shines - again. ThisStuart shines - again. This server's natural ease and knowledge of the menu adds immensely to the pleasure of dining at Table. Delicious, delicate trout and a succulent pork chop were both memorable.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMFavoriteI have eaten here seveal times and have never been disappointed - that still holds true. Love the location for easy access to shopping after a delightful lunch.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat menu changes daily !!Great menu changes daily !! Great combination of foods3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMI have never given a restaurantI have never given a restaurant a perfect rating. In this case, the criteria provided by OpenTable does not enable me to adequitely describe how stellar our Table experience was. It sets a new standard in dining.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMOut of all the restaurantsOut of all the restaurants we went to in Asheville, Table was the best. My boyfriend and I are big food lovers, and we fell inlove with this place. With every bite, it was hard not to reenact the scene from What About Bob, when Bill Murray is moaning while he eats. The cocktails were creative and well made, which made it hard to decide which one to order first. The menu was very local, seasonal and displays great flavor combinations. I would deffinatly recommend this restaurant to people who really appreciate food.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were very impressed withWe were very impressed with the food. Everything was delicious!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic restaurant. WeFantastic restaurant. We will return on subsequent visits to Asheville. Top shelf.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMwhat a nice surprise !we had an exceptionally delightful experience at table ...presentation, each plate , and all the possible choices .... how can one want more ? i was impressed with the generous "pour" (more than the usual skimpy 4 oz) of the nice house white wine ..
can't wait to come back !3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMLOVE the food, experience and serviOur favorite restaurant in Asheville for years. It never disappoints. In fact, it always surprises on the upside, including the last.two nights. We were in town for the SoCon basketball tournament and dined early evening before a game and late evening with a larger group after a game. Between the two evenings the menu changed enough to tempt my wife and me into trying four different appetizers and entres. Blown away with just how great the chef can make his food offerings taste. Then, there was the service. Stuart was our waiter the first night. We requested him and were rewarded with his most pleasant, professional, and thoroughly knowledgable service the second evening. The service that we received could not be bettered anywhere.3/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful inventive food andWonderful inventive food and great service. Interesting wines.3/7/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall, Table delivered asOverall, Table delivered as promised. We set out to enjoy a few simple dishes and had the oyster appetizer, cheese plate (minus meat) and the lamb tartare. The cheese plate was very nice and robust. The lamb tartare stole the show - exceptionally presented, very plentiful and de-licious!12/31/2012 12:00:00 AM
